We now know that the tournament will definitely go ahead. We have one possible venue at the moment:

Location:
ExCeL
Royal Victoria Dock
London,
E16 1XL, UK

Your hosts:
Me (ChozenBlader)
TheGigsMeister

Judges:
Blitz
Gekiryu

The time of day and the specific date are still to be decided, but for any suggestions towards running the tourney, or if you want to apply to be a judge, say so here.

Tournament setup:
There will be a plastics division, MFB Division and HMS division. The winners will get prizes (but we do not know what the prizes will be as of yet). Also, there will be a free-play section as well, for those who want to test combos or simply blade for the sake of it.

The matches will run on the point system. [/b]

For the record, according to the rules, if you break your opponents blade, you win instantly (although I must stress, please don't try to do this on purpose)

There may be a small entrance fee to pay for the prize. The amount is undecided.
Feel free to suggest any ideas.

IMPORTANT: There will be a blacklist. If your name is added to it, you will not be allowed to attend the tourney. This is to prevent trouble makers from spoiling the event.

Also, please, if you can, bring a stadium with you. The more stadiums we have, the more battles we can have at one time. Please note: Only Takara stadiums are legal for competitive play.

You will be allowed to buy and sell beyblades at the tournament. Just make sure your prices aren't outrageous Wink

When going out early, trains are a nightmare...
I don't find them too bad to be honest with you. They are all the same lol.

From Cardiff they're packed. Though i'm probably being biased since last year, I went up there was when it was all flooded (When we had loads of rain and stuff and it had flooded the tracks over) so everyone was piling onto the same train.
Body odour on trains can also be a killer... xd

Back to the topic of Spinoff 2009, what are your thoughts on a tag-team tournament as well as the main event?

Tag-Teams sound fun, Me and Dreamborn do them a lot and they turn out hilarious.
I've yet to try it in a Takara stadium though, I'll tell you when I do Grin

You just pretty much need blades that complement eachother quite well in the stadium.
I ran a tag team tournament before. It was a lot of unnecessary stress. Plus, it effectively cuts your competitor count in half.

EDIT: Wait, are you talking about both Beyblades in the stadium at the same time? That's a terrible idea. Lips_sealed
Both Beyblades wouldn't really work (4 blades in at the same time =X).

I agree with Brad, you want to make it last as long as possible, a tag team wouldn't work unless you had LOADS of players turning up.
The best way for battling in teamt is one battle per member (if you choose three of all).
And this will be like "single player" tournament. ;D
This was mine opinion.
And now...

I'm jealous. Here, in Poland was only 1 tournament... I have been around 3 years ago... I feel so ashamed cause of that. During the 2005 in my town was a lot of bladers. I had my team...
But now all of them are "too adult to beybladeing"... Uncertain
I don't understand them. Uncertain

No, I mean teams of two, lol
A four-way battle is chaotic

EDIT: Also, this would be done as well as the singles tourney.
Important footnote added to the first post. Please read!
OHH...a black list lol. It sfor the best I suppose.
It had to be done. Certain people are just too immature, and I feel that they could potentially spoil the day for the rest of us.
With tag-team, pretty much don't do the 4 blades at once. What I meant by complimenting eachother is: There's really no point havong a team just solely based around just one type, otherwise people will wise-up and be like "I see what you did there" and find a means to counter it.

How do you NOT get on said blacklist added btw?
If you're not antisocial then you won't get added. You're a judge anyway, so it doesn't include you xd
It won't be four blades at once. Here's an example.

Player A vs Player A2
Player A Wins

Player B vs Player B2
Player B2 wins

Player A will then face player B2

Make sense?
what do i have to do to get blacklisted from this CRAPPY EVENT ANYWAY
Antisocial behaviour mostly

LOL, he (ChozenBlader) missed the point completely XD.
I didn't, I'm just ignoring it...
I have about 9-10 months to improve upon the basic setup etc.

SHUT UP JERK I HATE YOU
Obviously he's being sarcastic, lol.
should'nt they host it all around the world but at different times like they did for those bakugan tournaments at wal-mart they should do the exact same thing they did for bakugan for beyblade because lets face it everyone knows beyblade is better but thats my opinion and mostly others i only know a couple people who disagreed and said beyblade can shove it i guess who wasnt that good of a player to hate bakugan and come to think of it he is the only person i know in my neighborhood that hates beyblade but when and if it hits america then he'll change his mind
i meant to hate beyblade not bakugan
Meta-Jynx, this is being hosted by a player, not a company. We can only host tournaments where we are.
