Hi everyone! This is the official thread for The July Joust - a tournament in Maryland's most popular Beyblade spot (Martin Luther King Jr. Park) on Sunday, July 24.

The park is on Jackson Road just off New Hampshire Ave (route 650) in Silver Spring, Maryland. Google is your friend for directions (the park is also known as Jackson Road Park).

Location: The closest address to put in your GPS is 1098 Jackson Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20904, but be sure to look at the map above for the actual location of the tournament (circled in red)
Registration: 11am
Start time: Noon
Format: Round Robin
Surface: Grass!
Fees: Standard WBO fees ($5 entry fee or free with a Blader Passport)
Prizes: A large pool of prizes including Random Booster v7's and other Takara Tomy and Sonokong MFB's with useful parts (TBD). Also... a special surprise prize for all bladers!

Unlike Otsu's last event, we will only have 1 tournament this time in the TT Attack Stadium

As long as Otsu or the committee provides Arupaeo with that list, it should be okay.

Alright Thanks
Just a quick note for everyone that this tournament will be happening tomorrow, rain or shine, hot or not. I know I promised a grass surface, but if we do see some rain, clearly we will have to retreat to the pavilion. I will bring some bigger blankets to prevent tips from hitting concrete as best we can.

Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

I could bring a giant beach towel to play on If you need it!
The weather says everything south of New Jersey is supposed to get rain, but everything north of Delaware is going to be sunny. Your chances of rain might be slim. It says 40%. I'll keep my prayers to the other 60% for ya.

Good luck tomorrow! Smile Hope everything runs smoothly.
Could you put me as a maybe? I know its probably REALLY late in notice but I hope I can still get this to you.
Yujay9, katsuya, heartless, the4anime, spinx11, chasemartinez

those are the people that bought passports at the last tournament. chasemartinez is now trypiogt.
Do you mean mondoy because you said tomorrow

1st place!!!!!!! Oh, yeaahh!
I swear, you're such a beast man. You could surpass Kei for sure based on you winning back to back tourneys. I'd say maybe rank #3 or 4 lol. Youre a beast! Grats!!
good job othellog you beat the carp out of me though
Congratulations to all our battling bladers today! It was seriously hot today, but everyone showed great courage and blader spirit by standing up to the sun and refusing to yield.

The day was long and the battles were fierce, but at the end of it all it was great to see everyone out together visiting with old friends and making new ones. Thank you all so much for making it a great day!

Results:
1st Place: othellog
2nd Place: Deikailo
3rd Place: Arupaeo

Special recognition goes to the car-load of our friends from New York and Pennsylvania for coming down to spice things up! It is so cool that we can build bridges between communities and support each other like this. You guys are fantastic!

That's all for now, but if anyone has pictures that they want to post or experiences that they want to share - be sure to post on the thread.

See you all real soon!

Arupaeo

PS - There's one last thing I need to say...

A big shout out to ლ(ಠ益ಠლ) aka ANGRY FACE for coming to his first tournament and helping us all to have a great time!
Wait? Bluezee went too? Ad it looks like MD pwn NYC again Wink
One final bit of housekeeping. It appears that one of Deikailo's TT stadiums was mistakenly taken from the tournament. If anyone finds that they went home with 1 mire stadium than they came with, please PM Deikailo or me as soon as possible,

Thanks!

Not accurate or the kind of spirit we're trying to engender here. Having our friends from New York was an awesome addition, and they more than held their own...

grats winners. if only IKMV showed up too. Could've taken the title back. haha.

what was the total turn out this time around? not including the NY visitors.
