HI! i am mudorios, and i am a cuber. maybe tell me what cubes you have, your avg's, and your pb's. me, personally, am not a great cuber, b/c my qiyi thunderclap is not here yet and i only have an unbranded 3x3. that said, along with the fact that i can only solve layer-by-layer so far, makes a pb of 1:02.19 not too shabby. i also have a shengshou 5x5, a yj windmill cube, a witeden 3x3x9, and a qj megaminx. i hope i can find some other cubers here!
Rubik's Cubes & pb's
Not into them, but lately people have started to get into them a lot in my area. Popularity's increasing for speed cubing while I'm still figuring out how to solve it lol.
ah, ok. but i am getting a speedcube, qiyi thunderclap on the way.
i was playing with it since i was 3 year old still can't finish it lol [this year i will buy again and finish (or find my old one lol)}
I've tried it. And I never solved one of these lol. I have knowledge about these stuff though. Especially Corner cutting. Shawn Wasabi - Mac and cheese , launchpad song has a cool Rubik's Cube routine at the end.
ah. well, i just got a better 3x3. my main is now a qiyi thunderclap.
new main, moyu tanglong! new pb, 1:46:03
HAHA I knew I'd find a post like this some day! I started cubing at my school (although I suck now). My main 3x3 is a Moyu Aolong (although i'm missing two edges) and my PB is 00:14! (I got super lucky full F2L and a PLL skip).
pb is now 1:22:60
bump and new 3x3 pb of 44:66
oh, yeah my pb is 46:32
EDIT: now 41:89
EDIT: now 41:89
My pb is 34.22 with LBL. I switched to PCMS, and now I currently average around 47 seconds. I hope by next year I will be sub 20!
nice. what's your main? my main is a qiyi thunderclap but hopefully i will be able to get a thunderclap v2 soon.
I use a Tanglong that is lubed with Vaseline hand lotion, using the CFOP method. Just got a PB today, at 27:72!
I use a Moyu Weilong 3x3x3 and my PB is roughly 15 seconds. I don't normally time myself but I'm confident my average is ~25 seconds. I've been cubing for almost 6 years on and off. You'd think I'd be sub 15 by now and I agree that I've been slacking. If I were to put up an excuse it would be to my subpar Rubik's cubes and poorly tensioned speed cube. I just recently got this Moyu and I've noticed my average getting better and better. My method is CFOP with OLL being mostly two-look and missing two algorithms from PLL (stupid N algorithms). I'm not trying to improve right now and I only solve it when I have to wait (like in the bus) just to keep my skills in practice.
I originally used the xman tornado, but now I use an alpha chun 2 because of less hardware iswires and barely any turning resistance.
LOL. I also use my Weilong gts too, but it won't be my main because I had to fix it with a nail when the stalk separated from the base internally. Works good as new now, though.
New pb: 28 seconds with PCMS. (I prefer PCMS over CFOP because it solves more directly instead of set-up moves.

I remember solving a cube for the first time, took like 2 months. I never could get all of those strategies to solve one.

you and me both, my friend. the g-perms for me as well.
EDIT: and r-perms,and the v-perm and f-perm.
Haha I made sure I learned G perms because they're so common. Something about N perms just makes me despise them. Maybe it's the lack of flow in the algorithm, but it doesn't matter since I only see it them once every 50 or so solves. N perms are the least common PLL cases out of all of them showing up once every 72 solves.
By the way, I found a faster z-permutation algorithm, just in case anyone wanted to use it. Here it is:
M U M2 U M2 U M U2 M2 U'
You, sir, are catching up to me.
M U M2 U M2 U M U2 M2 U'

I use the following Z perm:
M2 u M2 D' M' S2 M.
Kind of funny with the S move, but I gotta get used to them because it's in the name. Pairs, Corners, Middle, Standing... (It's that layer between F and B, following the direction of F.)
M2 u M2 D' M' S2 M.

Lol that Z perm looks so difficult to execute. Here's mine:
M2 U M' U2 M2 U2 M' U' M2
This algorithm is what I found to be the fastest to execute.
M2 U M' U2 M2 U2 M' U' M2
This algorithm is what I found to be the fastest to execute.
I just use my algorithm because by gosh I always mess up otherwise. sometimes I'll use M2 U M2 U M U2 M2 U2 M U2, simply so I don't have to rotate the top layer at all to do a Z-perm.
EDIT: New PB at 26.05 seconds!
