Round Shell MS (Metal Snipe)

Archived Damashii article is here: http://web.archive.org/web/2005021506070...ellms.html

This is definitely one of my favourite Beyblades. The AR is not as noteworthy as its wonderful RC, which I'd like to discuss.

It was cool to see a custom part built like this, and I wish Takara had released more HMS with custom parts. The RC of Round Shell MS, Rubber Weight Core, isn't built like anything else. Its force smash ability is superb; if you manage to use the same spin direction, you can take out a Wolborg MS with it. I'd like to see tests done using Advance Attacker and Smash Leopard as ARs. Currently, my best Rubber Weight Core combo uses Metal Ape as its AR; I wanted to focus on spin velocity than force smash using the metal parts.
I haven't tried this out much since I got it after OtC went down. I'd want to try it out, but I'm afraid it'll get to beat up and I won't be able to find a replacement.
Go ahead and try it out, it doesn't wear down really. The rubber is quite hard.
I'll get to it tonight and see how it goes then Smile
I'd stick with Metal Ape for the AR. Tall as it is, the AR usually has no direct effect in "force smashing" the other combo to the ground. Against WBMS for example, WBMS is already touching the stadium floor with it's WD/AR and loosing spin, long before the RSMS combo AR even has a chance of coming into contact with it. The "force smash" effect is done only by the Rubber Weight Core and doesn't really need help from the AR to work. This is all from what I remember back when I started testing this out.

It's not a combo you'd want loosing balance fast either, so while it could have added attack if used as say, a wobbler, it wouldn't be long until it was touching the stadium ground as well.

It's an overspecialised combo, but still usefull for it's ability of easily beating same spin Bearing Core combos.

Concerning the AR, I remember someone at OtC doing well with a combo using RSMS's AR. I think it was:

AR: RSMS
WD: Circle Wide (not sure here)
RC: Bearing Core

I never got a chance to test this out since my only BC is broken.

Yes, a player used a combo like this to sweep the entire GBT. It was really something. Gasp
after farting around some, the strength of this part is way more than i thought.
its is very good, shutting down down attackers left right and center.

brad, I tried out with Adv att ar and the results are good, but its ar come in to play in end of battle. however the recoil at that stage was sometimes fatal

I found better results still, using samurai upper, the metal frame is more stable when spining, good for such a tall blade.
it improved its abilty to survive when knocked over
also heavier
I want one of these so badly.
I got to try one out at AN'05.
I enjoyed it, I really must get one of my own. Quite useful.

Ah, I was just focusing on force smash. I don't doubt it would do very well with MANY ARs. Smile

If I pick up a spare I will sell it to you. Smile
Ah yes, one of the many I came back with from that stop in the Tokyo airport...>_>

I personally must agree from experience that Brad's cmombo works, but I never really liked Metal Ape.

What? You never liked Metal Ape? Get the hell out of here. Everyone likes Metal Ape.
To be honest, I don't really find this part extremely useful. As mentioned before, it's highly specialized. Maybe I'm just not good at using it, but I find that it gets beaten by just about everything else.

Perhaps I should clarify.

I enjoy the fact that its an excellent attack ring, but I've never cared for the aestethics. (That's definetly not spelled right)

Highly specialized parts are often the best parts.

Ah ... well, you're still wrong, but that's far less infuriating. Smile
