Howdy everybody! Who's ready for another big North Carolina event?
If any of you remember Taking Back the City, it was a big promotional event we hosted back in April. With tournament attendance down, we were shooting for the most attendees we could possibly get! I'm happy to say, while it wasn't the biggest crowd ever, we did manage to get 20 players. However, this time, we're going to shoot for higher! This will be another large promotional event, and we're shooting for the goal of 30 competitors!
This is a big number to pull together, so Bladers from all over the East Coast are encouraged to attend if they can! Maryland, Virginia; you name it! Everybody's welcome.
Now, just like last time, there will be a secret prize given out to the Blader who brings the most friends along, so come with as many people as you can! It's a prize you don't wanna miss!
Date, Place, and Time Wrote:Main Street Park - 500 Scarboro Street, Rolesville, NC - Shelter D - October 25th, 2014 - 11:00 A.M.
Limited Format
The are two separate entrances to Main Street Park - the front entrance is located at 200 South Main Street, but the shelter we will be playing in is located at the very back of the park, so it would be a quarter mile walk to the playing area from the front entrance. We will be using the back entrance, located at 500 Scarboro Street. This entrance is located only a few hundred yards from shelter D, so getting to the playing area will be much easier. There will be tournament officials waiting at the entrance from 10:30 to 11:00 A.M. to direct you to the shelter.
We will be playing in shelter D, the largest shelter in the park, capable of holding 50 people or so conveniently. The shelter is equipped with 8 electrical outlets (the two outlets at the front end of the shelter will be used to run tournament devices, but feel free to use the other 6 if you need them).
The shelter will contain picnic tables on which participants may place their equipment. The tables toward the front of the shelter will be used for tournament matches.
We will be playing Beyblade in Limited Format. What is Limited format, you ask? Read the Universal Rulebook for information. Certain overpowered Beyblade parts are banned in Limited format, to keep gameplay balanced and fair for everyone. The Universal Rulebook that I linked contains the list of parts that are banned. Make sure you bring legal parts!
We expect to be done by around 3:00 P.M.
ATTENTION: This is of the utmost importance. If you do not own a Blader Passport, you must pay a mandatory 5 dollar entrance fee (or you can purchase a passport, details here) to enter this tournament. If you don't pay, unfortunately, you can't play.
This is a non-profit organization, and funding for events like this can get expensive, so charging a small fee is necessary.
Now what would a big event like this be without some prizes! We've got a really great lineup this time.
2nd Prize: BB-75 Deck Entry Set + BB-85 Metal Face Custom
Third Prize: BB-91 Ray Gil 100RSF + BB-85 Metal Face Custom
Pretty awesome! That's a lot of stuff. Just one more reason to come down and compete! Thanks to the committee and the players who donated for these prizes!
Now, we're gonna need quite a crowd for this tournament! So, here we go!

I don't want to sound rude or like a jerk but can you stop putting maybe or confirmed on like any big event we do (I believe you did it in the last revival) when you more than likely are not coming. I wouldn't say this is you came at least once before, but considering you never have it just seems like your posting to post.
Back on topic glad to see the thread up. I'll try to send money to help out with the prize support today or tomorrow TBD, I've been a little busy this week.
I miiiiiiiiight come to this one. I'm unconfirmed...
This is supposed to be a promotional event, and the Team Format seems to be limiting the number of participants who are able to compete. I like the idea of Team Format, but I think we might want to wait until we aren't going for maximum participation or distributing such expensive prizes to test the new format out.
That said, to those of you who were excited about Team Format, I'm sorry we won't be trying it out this time around (don't worry, we'll be sure to organize one soon), but to those of you who don't have teams to compete with, registration is opened!
I've been trying to get a better venue for the tournament for a couple of weeks now, and I've found one! We will now be playing at 500 Scarboro Street, Rolseville, NC, at 11:00 A.M.
Details are in the OP! I have re-designed the promo signature with the updated information.
We will be playing in Shelter D, a very nice location, with nearly 3 times the space as Durant Park's sweetgum shelter, 8 functional electrical outlets, and several picnic tables! Definitely a much more convenient location.
It's only about 15 minutes northeast of Durant Park, so driving distance shouldn't be a problem (if you're in Virginia or Maryland, it might even be closer).
EDIT: Oh, and I've received the last of the prizes! Everything looks to be in excellent condition.
Oh, by the way everybody, if you have BB-10s, bring them! The more stadiums, the better.
