Was that all your books or just some? College kids get carp over on books...I had to shell out upwards of $400 - $500 for this semestre alone. Thank FSM for randomly granted state bonuses for federal aid.

That was just for a few of them. I have a few classes with one of my friends so we split the required books between the two of us to save each other some cash.

If she hadn't been there to do that with me, I would've spent around $350. Unhappy

- Mad Men Season 1 on Blu-ray (On sale on Amazon at 40% off -- snagged it for $29.99, which is cheaper even than the regular DVD collection of Season 1. carp yeeeah.)
Zoom H4 Handy Field Recorder - $299

So happy! The band can finally make some decent recordings. Expect an EP in the next few months

I HATE you. I want that SO bad.

ANYWAY...

I bought the "The Most Dangerous Commercials" b-side track by Circa Survive in order to help support one of the record stores that helped the band recently and had to shut down due to financial woes... The song isn't really that great, glad I only paid 99 cents for it. lol

I also just bought the limited edition "UNITED NATIONS" disc. Its limited to 1,000 copies and features some really cool exclusive artwork. UNITED NATIONS is a grindcore supergroup featuring current and previous members of the bands Thursday (Vocalist Geoff Rickly), Glassjaw/Head Automatica (Vocalist Daryl Palumbo) and Converge (Drummer -- Can't remember his name). At least, that's the rumored line-up, no one really knows for sure since the band hasn't made it public outside of the distinctive and easily picked out Geoff Rickly, who's doing vocals for the band. They also don't show their faces, they always wear Ronald Reagan masks. Suffice it to say, this is a very politically conscious band and I am pumped to see what they do. They have the whole disc up for streaming on MySpace and I REALLY liked what I heard (didn't listen to everything -- don't want to spoil it all) so I'm pretty sure that was $15 well spent. We'll see come September 9th when the CD releases.
1000 Microsoft Points:
- Rio - Duran Duran
- Locksley Pack 1
Revoltech 'EVA-03' series No. 009 (From NGEGrin)
Kitkat chunky
Screwdriver and assortment of spanners
Modern Guilt - Beck

The CD, I mean. I bought the CD.
