I think that's the style of Bleach. Something, someone or some event is introduced, then it turns up again much later. By that time, you probably would have forgotten about it, but when it appears, you'll be reminded, and it'll all make sense.

For example, note how Ichigo's classmates started seeing him fighting as a shinigami at night. Then they started training or something, if I remember correctly. This, together with the existence of the two fathers in the city, will probably be brought in again when Aizen starts his attack. Probably, they will be there to provide support in cases where lower-level enemies appear and the main characters are unable to reach in time.

ugh, the Toronto Maple Leafs were giving out FREE tickets to an exhibition game against the Sabres on September 22nd today at the ACC, and I didn't get any! My Mother walks through the ACC almost everyday to get to work too!
