Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts

Yes there are some inconsistencies but those are more or less plot holes explainable by the fact that this is a kids show, the writers don’t care THAT much. I think that the avatars are semi physical projections created by the true physical bodies (the beys). It would explain why they can’t interact with the physical environment as much as the actual beys. It would also explain why beys like L-Drago Pegasis and Nemesis CAN surpass that limitation and interact with the actual environment seeing as they are more powerful than other beys.

One big piece of evidence that supports this is the fact that  people can see the avatars within beys owned by other people who own them both in MFB and the Plastic gen. If it really was a metaphorical/imaginative representation of a bey then that wouldn’t be possible. Some great moments that show case this are Hikaru vs Ryuga and Kyoya vs Ryuga because they are clearly petrified in fear of the draconic of presence rushing towards them.

Yes, you're right. It is a kid's show, but kids aren't dumb and no one said they were expecting "Citizen Kane" level of writing haha. Plus, I never said the writing in MFB was bad, because I don't think it is.

And if they were semi-physical avatars projected from the constellations, then I'd buy it. Like they're avatars manifested by the powers of the beys and they only appear when they respond to the feelings of the bladers who wield their beys. However, I'm still skeptical about the thing about them actually being 100% real beings in the MFB universe, at least not in the same way as bit-beasts from the original series. They aren't collectable beasts that Ryuga can just steal like Pokémon, just spirits that link with the powers of the constellations.

And with Hikaru and Kyoya, they could've been petrified by the dark powers of L-Drago and not the dragons coming to eat their souls. There was a lot of emphasis on the dark powers being a threat, the same one that would later infect Tsubasa, so it's probably them both fearing the dark powers themselves and not the actual purple dragons.

Also, not once have I implied that I thought the bit-beasts in the original series weren't real in the anime at all so I dunno why the bit-beasts from the original series was brought up in the topic of metaphorical representations.

I brought up the plastic gen as a comparison in order to emphasize the fact that I believe avatars functioned that very same way in mfb. Also while I don’t think kids are dumb, they definitely don’t care much for plot holes and factual errors. I’m sure you never watched this show as a 9 year old and thought about hose sorts of things but who cares about that anyway. While I’m sure the bladers feared the dark power, they definitely saw the avatar because they would often looked far beyond Ryuga’s line of sight suggesting they were looking at something else.

In Hikaru's case, she was already fearing Ryuga before her battle against her began and seeing the destructive potential of the dark powers aiming towards her justified her fears of him even more and caused her to panic. Her panic in response to the dark powers is probably why she was looking far beyond Ryuga's line of sight.

Yeah seems reasonable.

Gingka riding Pegasus was just really to show that GIngka's bond with Pegasus progressed to the point where they were so in sync it was like Gingka was riding Pegasus. Of course Beyblades still do have being inside of them, but the being themselves have never really came out. Instead the blader spirit just makes visions of what they look like.

Uh then how do you explain nemesis literally destroying the world and new dimensions being created? It is clear that they intended for the avatars be real and actually come out.

Nemesis is unhinged so for something like it to come out for maximum destruction would make sense.
Hopefully every other tag team partners get tag team moves.
We'll certainly have to see. I didn't think V&R would get one. The only ones who have this tournament are V&R. Named ones at least.

No one's going to kill you. At least I won't lol. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. That's the way of art really. I for one think it's truly excellent. From the character arcs to the animation, to the new beys, how well the season was plotted. Loved it from beginning to end. A friend of mine just finished watching it with me, he loved every minute of it.

Well there will always be characters that are basically extras. All the mains and so many of the side characters got definite arcs with some mini arcs added as well. Valt, Silas, Free, Kris, Stan, Rixon, Shasa, Cuza (All of them had an arc, some larger than others of course) and then we got to see how much the previous season characters really changed and how the events of the previous season affected them (Wakiya, Daigo, and Shu)

Kurt, Clio, and Norman where all cool but did like nothing.

Kurt acutally had an arc, same with Boa. Norman and Clio not so much. Though Clio didn't have an arc, he did get development. So many characters had definite arcs. Love the character work in this season.

Kurt did have an arc but it was a small one for a few episodes. Didn't even mention Boa lol.
Kurt existed for a lil bit, Clio and Norman basically didn't exist.

So much wasted potential man. They tried to give Clio a thing but it was just so miniscule.
Same thing for Turbo. Count Nightfell, Evel both wasted and even Toko got wasted

It's not really possible to give every character the same amount of screentime so some are inevitably going to end up with less. What you do with them while their on screen is what really makes the difference and they made sure to do some good character work with a majority of those characters who only appeared briefly.

I know lol. I thought about him as I was writing this reply so I added him.

They did terrible work with Norman and Clio was very forgettable compared to other events going on.

That's why I said the majority of characters got good character work done with them. I agree that not much was done with those two. Clio got some development but not an arc. And Norman didn't get much all around. But when comparing those two with the all the character work they did that season, that huge amount of characters they gave arcs and development to, those two not really getting the same is not anything of much note.
