The Garcias deserve to die with a passion. Also, Gasher's water themed, and their attacks are wind based. Huh. Gave some entertaining battles though. Oddly enough, Yu, Tsubasa, and Masamune were still useful in the final battles against Rago. Gan Gan Galaxy never dies!
I agree with the Burst cast getting decreased screentime, but Daina ended up the best out of the three. I did not think he was going to end up in the SEMI-FINALS of all things. Should've beat Joshua in that battle though.

I really wished Zero-G went back to a full 51 episode story, the 26 episodes was good enough, and thank god US and Canada chose to air the lost episodes.

Okay now I'm sad because I remember all the cool season 1 Metal Fusion characters that barely showed up once Metal started and I miss my boys Sora and Teru.

I have nothing against Benkei as a character himself, while his catchphrase gets rather annoying, he himself is alright and had some good development during the first ten episodes of Metal Fusion. Like someone mentioned, the battle in episode 43 was awesome. In Metal Fusion, he's okay, I didn't mind him there.

In Season 2, he was pretty funny, I didn't mind that he never got an upgrade too much since Kenta and Kyoya never did anyway. Not to mention he was cool and even got to be a World Champion representative, and was a total boss against the annoying as all hell Garcia twins.

Season 3 was probably my least favourite version if only because I hated how unfocused he was compared to the rest of the cast... including former newcomer Masamune. And this is something I hated in Sagas after the classic ones, is that original main characters either get noticeably less focus like Benkei or just disappear later on mostly like Wakiya, Daina and especially Kensuke. I also never liked that Benkei never got a 4D beyblade, I mean you don't need him to be a legendary blader, I don't expect that to happen (even if it does suck all four original main characters except Benkei got to be a Four Season blader), I would've loved a Bull 4D upgrade, even if it wasn't a legendary blader, something like Blitz Unicorno proves that. There was no Aquila or Libra upgrade either which also sucks.

I liked that Benkei got a more prominent role in Zero G, I wish he had a Zero G Bull beyblade of his own to perhaps train with Zero (which I did a concept on), but I do like his more mentor role here, as well as acting as a decent comic relief. This was probably my favourite Benkei, it's just a shame Zero G never lasted as long to enjoy it more.

So I think Benkei is alright overall, I don't listen to the general consensus if I don't agree, TV Tropes isn't gospel after all. That said, I find the Garcias, especially Enzo and Selen FAR worse than Benkei could ever be.

There even was that time when Benkei WAS going to fight Yoshio, but Zyro took it instead which is understandable but COME ON!

Is Benkei really that hated? I checked tropes a while back and found out a lot of people hated him? I thought he was great in season 1 and fine in season 2. Its season 3 where he was just kinda there as backup. Not entirely useless since Johannes had a tone of backup, but still.

Whilst a lot of people (back when MFB was still around) didn't like Benkei when he became the bumbling comic relief, that doesn't mean he doesn't have fans. It just means that there's a handful of detractors judging by this thread.

Personally, I think he was alright. I didn't mind his personality and didn't find his catchphrase that bad but I wish they gave him more to do rather than living under Kyoya's shadow and gave him a new bey in 4D. Of course, he does work as a mentor in Zero-G which is great to see and overall and there are worse characters out there, personally.

I don't think he's actually that bad TBH. That's not to say I'm terribly fond of him either, he's unlikeable and is constantly pampered by Trad as this "poor soul" (who ironically goes after Valt for making the same mistakes as Stan) but he adds more tension for BC Sol when it came to Valt and at least redeemed himself later on... unlike Team Garcia.

He barely won any games for BC Sol, got Valt and Rantaro in major trouble without getting the facts straight, and after the Royals battle, he does jack. Everyone gets stronger instead of him, Cuza joins, and now he's upset for not being chosen on the main roster, and he still throws a pitter patty instead of asking him whether or not he screwed up. Sure he has that final battle with Valt, but never flat out apologizes to him. Then when he leaves, he beats Jango and boasts he's gonna win just cuz of Xhaka and Ruwei. And he still lost to Rickson, proving all his bravado false. He ended the way he start, a prideful hamburger no one wanted to eat but thought everyone wanted to buy, and stayed rotten battle wise while barely changing his personality meat.

Thats exactly why Im not a huge fan of Stan. Though, I guess he was meant to display the rotten behavior of society (people who cant seem to have emotional intelligence). Therr are plenty of people who respond rather maturely and not-so-angrily, whereas Stan displays his selfishness and never-changing attitude

You got me there haha. When I say Stan was redeemed, I mean not being a complete imbecile towards Valt later on. He's still not an amazing character and I can understand why he's the most hated Burst character but he's hardly the worst IMO and his relationship with BC Sol was somewhat okay by episode 27, he won more battles and didn't act like a sore loser when he lost to Rickson, he congratulated him.

Though I will say that him being a massive hypocrite in Episode 11 and him getting away with being a smug little brat in Episode 12 were easily his most annoying moments that did irritate me.

I'll give you that Team Garcia is meant to be unlikeable and if you like them then that's fine, more power to you. I'll admit I didn't mind Argo, I can tolerate Ian and they did make decent twist villains in Zero-G but Enzo, he was the absolute worst. He had absolutely no redeeming qualities at all, annoying personality, grating voice, the most irritating catchphrase (honestly, I'd much rather listen to Bubsy from Bubsy 3D) and personally, I didn't find him interesting.

Either way, I feel as if Stan existed for the sake of pure tension. Of course there will be that one salty guy in the back (although, Stan’s way of being one was far worse than other media’s “salty” characters)

EDIT: And by tension, he was used to keep things “interesting” and “stir up some plot.” No way the writers would let Valt would go on without a jealous dude
