HAPPY BIRTHDAY, FUMIYA!!!!!

(I  don't care what anybody says, Fumiya is a cool character.)

Fumiya's a really cool side character, people just didn't like him because he wasn't Free.
People disliking Fumiya because he wasnt Free is very much the case. Especially around fangirl spaces, since Free is pretty much Shu 2.0 in terms of popularity and some fangirls are really possessive with Free — they blame Fumiya for taking his spotlight. And to others, its just that “omG FuMiYA sToLeFaFnIR hOw daRe He”

And like I mention occasionally, people would threaten violence or call bs on characters for wielding “someone else’s” Bey. Back when Burst was new, there used to be the mindset where Beys are exclusive to characters and — in example — two characters cannot share, say, a Fafnir Beyblade. So if theres another character with the “same” Bey as another, the first reaction would to think they stole it from another character

Despite the fact that we have seen so many recolors and copies of Beyblades in the series, implying that two people can share the same Bey name

One thing I want to point out is even if other characters had recolors of the same it wasnt treated as the main bey Who has an avatar or resonance. Most of these recolors or even treated as trash beys the anime don’t even acknowledge them. No avatar means your a generic bey And not like they ones that have the avatar. It doesnt help when the recolors arent even the same gen as the current ones the main cast has so it really isnt a good example. Fumiya was unlucky like lodin. Xhan, kyle And blind/basara (this got less hate compare to the rest). They where simple use as a way to make longinus, fafnir And others comeback the writers should've estsblish the same bey can use while having an avatar but Not related to the other ones. I feel sorry For these characters cause their actually good characters

I mean, the implication made by the anime is that beys that are recolors are certainly capable of resonance but simply don't get there due to the blades. It isn't like past seasons where there is a clear cut difference between having a spirit in your bey and not having one, all beys have spirits but some people don't have a complete understanding. Rashad uses Valkyrie but he has knowledge of resonance and as a result, can command his bey to move a certain way or perform special moves. After Rashad, Sasha was probably the closest.

To be honest, those Free fans were disrespecting Free by saying that Fumiya stole Fafnir from him. So, they're telling me that Free, a superhuman who is built different gets his bey stolen by some regular, wimpy kid with glasses (no disrespect to Fumiya, but it's true). Like, that's really disrespectful to Free!

Free is extremely overrated anyways. Like seriously, he doesn't deserve that kind of acclaim. Free is a typical overpowered anime edgelord who has received about much development and depth as a marvel dark horse comics protagonist. If anything, "superhuman" and "built different" are just many of the excuses used to defend these one dimensional characters.

At least Fumiya had a tangible personality even if it was awkward and cringy.

I highly guarantee that if Free was the owner of Wizard Fafnir in GT instead of Fumiya, fans would complain that Free lost too many times (provided the anime played the same way of course). They would accuse Drum and Delta of having plot armour and ignore them, much like how fans ignored Aiga after he defeated Lui.

Plus, Fumiya's character being different made things more interesting. His introduction was different as he was a lot more smug and quickly revealed his past rivalry with Team Victories, unlike Free's boring and samey introductions from Cho-Z to DB.
So, Apparently before Evoluotion the World Championship were being held and Free absoulouty DESTROYED Lui and also what would have happened if Free never went Super man in evolution? Were he maxed his limit with valt

Well free achieve his super free form cause he knew that other bladers where finally cought up to him. Lui Who beat him an a unoficial match, valt was making wave at thst time 3 out of 5he big 5 had fallen to valt & lastly shu was going wild as well. All these were at his level now a level he thought that no one would reach anytime soon. So if he didn’t have his super form he would've 1. Lost to lui the second time plus lose to valt faster & clean or if it was reverse like if he fought shu/red Eye it would've been bye bye drain fafnir.

So, will I, I guess.
Fumiya wasn’t hated because of personality really. Theirs 2 things fans see first. 1. If the character look cool/badass & have a strong pressence, 2. If the character is super strong. The personality part comes after these to things For most fans alot of legacy characters suffer this fate an fiction. Fumiya simply was unlucky to own a bey of a character for majority of fans look cool or strong its that simple.
Apparently Rashad also gets hate because he uses a red Savior. Like if you're gonna hate the man then hate him for an actual reason, i feel like hating his hairline would be a better argument than him using someone else's bey

(Real talk though, Rashad do got a nice hairline)

Gonna be honest here, Rashad to me is a pretty nice and cool character. It's just a different opinion, but when people hate characters, they should have valid reasons.
I agree. Its alright to dislike a character as long as people have valid reasons to explain themselves with

Personally, I appreciate Rashad having a copy of Valt’s Bey. I think it emphasizes Rashad’s “I want to be Valt”-esque personality and obsession — and using a recolor of Valt’s Bey cements that personality. Had he have his own original Bey, it might not fit his character very well. I am interested in Rashad getting his own Bey, however; and especially if having his own Bey lets him learn a lesson like “be yourself and appreciate who you are”

yeah im fine with him having valt's bey it really sparks rashad's "valt is so cool i'll be just like him" and "valkyrie is the best bey" motif.

I honestly agree with this, giving Rashad Brave and Savior Valkyrie can set up great character development, hopefully burst uses it to its full potential

mhm and it really builds his character as a whole

he could possibly be the best antagonist with this development

now possibly not "oh he's gonna be the best antagonist" i want to wait until we get further into db but so far it's looking good

Wholeheartedly agree with just about everything that you have said. Sad part is that Rashad is arguably a lot more creative and well developed than most of the overly dramatic characters in the burst franchise as is, and he has hardly done anything yet so you can imagine how I view a lot of the characterization.

Some Valt fans truly make me sick too, the way they worship him as some type of perfect unfailing character (and ironically, completely perfect and mistakeless characters are considered some of the absolute worst in terms of writing quality and story building) and feel like any form of breach regarding his character is negative. Like seriously, I remember Valt fans going crazy after the DB teaser was leaked (It looked like he had black sclera due to poor quality) because they thought Valt having an evil arc would be a "betrayal to his character" and were much more comfortable with seeing him acquire zero development whilst more or less having the same role he has had for the past 3 seasons- yeah, that's as crazy as some Valt fans can be. Personally, I would admit that Valt is also my favorite burst character but if I am being brutally honest, Rashad is a lot more respectable as a character. Valt is one of those typical overly enthusiastic, morally bright, journey to the top recurring anime protagonists whilst Rashad is actually a lot more creative in pretty much all aspects from design to personality to role in the story. Valt uses tons of overly used character tropes and has a basic design alongside a totally generic journey and moral complexity, in other words, he is what many people would call a "safe play." Basic overused characters full of easily implemented and overused concepts as well as a low amount of creative depth all of which are quite common in anime protagonists and kids shows. Rashad on the other hand is an actual risk and a thoroughly thought out character which is far more applaudable.

The hardcore Valt fans will absolutely loathe me for this post.

Honestly, agreed. While his sunny and greater-than-life attitude is the main reason for why I like Valt so much, at the end of the day it's not something that was never seen before. On the other hand, Rashad has a much more complex and unpredictable character, and is showing great potential despite having done only so little to the plot at this point. My only gripe with him is how slowly the writers are taking his plotline so they can work on Bell's (who, admittedly, is also going rather slow in the character department as of the most recent couple episodes), as I'd have liked for his battle in Ep 19 to shed some more light on his ideals and beliefs, possibly setting him up for a serious rivalry with Bell. Other than that though, if they do keep going with him as is right now, Rashad might very well be the best antagonist in the history of Beyblade, period. Let's just hope the hype bubble doesn't end up bursting mid-season, because I'm really liking the guy so far.
I have a theory Bell's main development will be along the lines of learning how to accept defeat. I also think he will be taught to rely on his skills alone and not only on the upgraded parts. For that reason I think either Rashad or one of the legends will break Belial forcing Bell to accept and learn. At least that is how I think the anime will go.
Regarding Rashad; perhaps He will loose with valkryie and then he will either turn bitter. Wanting to beat everyone to avenge his loss? Idk Im at a loss as to how they will go about with his character
