Questions about the WBO

I have a question, how do u get beypoints when you battle?
Me and my friend (LUIBurnGasher) have been battled many battles without getting beypoint's.
the beypoint system on the wbo is completley different then actual beypoints
you see you can only get beypoints from official wbo matches eg. tournaments
anyway the beypoints only give you a rank on the wbo and are stored on your account
its really like a goal to get as much beypoints as you can while still having fun

is that alright
Yeah that's right doncha you only get from official WBO Events .Obviously everybody would lie if you could add them yourself so that's why.You can search for official WBO tournament to start getting beypoints. This also helps the wbo financial.
Yall should have actually just forwarded him to the help button, haha.
nah it felt better to explain it
Only moods and you can see the warning level, but others may see the "blank attached a moderator's notice to this post"

1. When you recieve a warning.Who can see you recieved one? Does it appear on your posts? Is it on your profile? Or can only Mods and certain people view the warning and its reason? Thanks Yukio!
2. I am a bit confused on necro-posting. When is it okay and when it is not?Is there a time-out to threads? I know you guys don't want dead threads and you want to keep threads alive...so does the post's content decide whether the thread was reasonably 'necroed'? Or in general, keep away from posting in threads that haven't been posted in for over a year?
3.When you are banned, can you still log on to your account? Or do you lose complete acess to it?

2: if you're posting something that contributes to the topic, it's fine. If you're just saying "wow that's cool" then it's obviously not okay. If you're asking this question chances are you'll have no problems.

3: I believe they can log in, but it brings them to a page that says they are banned and whatnot.
I just want to say that Shabalabadoo is completely correct, if you needed to get confirmation from a staff member.

That is why you will sometimes see a grey username in the Online List : someone who is banned has just browsed the board, logged in.

Yes, public locations are usually what people use. The best is always to create a sort of affiliation with a local hobby shop that would rent you the space for tournaments once in a while indoors, but parks are good too.

Reading these documents will surely help you to understand how to start a tournament :

if u r going to host a tournament then do u hav to hav prizes cause i probably wont have anything??
We already have a Beypoint System with rankings, Credits, Faces, and the recognition of getting your username posted on this board as having gotten in the top three. Hopefully people do not absolutely need prizes to participate.
I heard you guys can't print WBO shirts to due Beyblade brand name copyright...?
As to the first, we were told we could not by Nelvana themselves - however, it is really not so simple, and there technically is a way it can be done, which we are looking into.

For the second, you can and will be severely warned for harassing users. This can be via flooding them with PMs they do not want, threatening them, calling them names, etc.
I have a question. I'm coming to a tourney and all I have are Hasbro stadiums. Can they be officially used? Also when u get to a tourney, how does it all work? Do you have to sign up?
I'm hoping for a quick answer THANKS if u reply

Yes, you give your name to the host, because they need everyone's names in order to know how many participants are there. Also, that is when you pay the entry fee, if there is one (there is always one besides on BeyDays, in certain cases).
All Hasbro stadiums are illeagal for WBO play.
You can also see the rule book for more rules.

Well, Hasbro stadiums are illegal for WBO use, and hopefully the host has some BB-10s to use. And yes, you say your username and either pay your five dollars, or say you have a passport. Sometimes they check your Bey during registration.

Edit: Beaten by Kai-V and Psylent.
Welcoming people with the same message is fine?
It's kind of frowned upon. In most cases, none of the users get a welcome that is relevant to what they say about themselves. I guess it would be alright if you spiced it up a bit for each of them, but I'm not sure.
Other than it turning into SPAM,its fine.
Pretty much, yes. As long as you don't sound like a broken record and/or post welcoming banners as welcomes, then you're fine.
We will bust you on copy-pasting the same welcome if it becomes overtly noticable.

Put thought into welcoming new people.
