Questions about the WBO

A number of people have offered, I think, but it's never really been discussed properly.
Videos of opening engine gear, clutch blade base, beylauncher, etc..
i think those can be put together too...

Well, the fact that there hasn't been new videos by now would probably be evidence for that. Whether it's a commitment issue, nobody feels like it, or people feel it's not worth it, the opportunity has been here, but nobody's stepped up. Of course I'm not saying that nobody should, or that it's a lost cause, but it is a legitimate issue, and it's also the reason the BeyChannel had stopped making videos when it did.

Except that we've never really asked, have we? I bet people would jump at the chance to have their video on the WBO channel if we put up a thread with a list of videos that the WBO wanted to publish along with the standards for shooting them. Who wouldn't want to do that?
Can we?

I mean, I think it would be really good for us, a lot of people watch beyblade videos on youtube and it's a great way to find new members!
Shouldn't there be camera requirements? This brings out the best of the channel.

Such as:
- No 240p. (LOL)
- High resolution?
etc..

That was in my mind, so I just felt like pointing that out. ~~
Any videos we allow up there should definitely be available at least in 720p, and very well-lit/properly focused, etc. in my opinion.
@th!nk: I don't see why not, and it could go something like this:
  1. We would open up a call for submissions for a particular video with a deadline
  2. Members would submit their videos by the deadline
  3. Whoever was in charge of the video group would initiate a vote on which video is the best
  4. Someone on the video group would then layer on the official WBO Open, music and lower thirds (explanatory text, etc.), and credits (including the username of the shooter).
  5. Video gets published to the WBO channel (in a batch on a regular schedule or ad hoc).
  6. Rinse, repeat! Wink

Cannon: Absolutely. there would be a whole list of requirements for the format of the video like high angle tight shot of stadium, 720p minimum, black background (or whatever), no talking, etc. etc.

These aren't the actual list of requirements mind you, just an example of what they could be...
I sold Kei the camera I used for Types and my other videos. He almost never used it. It was very good for macro video.

Um, no you didn't haha. I do remember you selling it to someone though ...

My main concern with allowing someone else to do videos for Beychannel is quality and consistency with the previous standards that have been set. But I'm sure we could find someone to fulfill those if we went through with something like Arupaeo is suggesting.

That said, if I actually had a tripod, I could be shooting/edit videos myself with my own camera. It would be nice to have someone dedicated to it, though.
When does the beyblade tornament go to ( north east arkansas) in april ,march 2012 this year? What month, day ,year?
You have to wait and keep checking the wbo front page

Each community seeks approval from the WBO to host it's own WBO tournament. there isn't like a tournament tour which travels from place to place. So, if you have other bladers in your area that you think would like to compete in a WBO tournament, sign them up and make an event proposal!

Just be sure to have the rules memorized and know the event guide by heart as well. Smile
I'd be willing to step up and do some videos for BeyChannel. Looking at how often I update my own Youtube channel, you'd think I'd never get to doing them, but I can do it if I follow through with uploading.

My camera has pretty nice quality (though, it's recently taken very long to upload MPEG-4; hopefully it can be fixed), and I've got plenty of well-lit rooms in my house.
We would be happy to receive sample videos from anyone at any time.
Again , I think we could have BeybladeGeeks or AkriasDaddy do the videos
AkirasDaddy's last post here was in January, for some reason, and he seems to have abandoned his shop.

BeybladeGeeks do videos frequently, but it is not enough to be able to do any video.

Also, we have a completely different system that is coming out and is out. Zero-G has new launchers, new stadiums, and new parts. We will have to show videos on how to use the stadiums to your advantage, or something like that. We will have to show how to use the launchers well, and how to use the Synchrome System. Also, we will have to show how the new types works out( because Stamina tips are now defense tips, and vice versa). All this plus more,so a major etc. for Zero-G videos and tutorials.

That is already covered.
Do you get anything special for referrals? I referred my friend and he likes the WBO.

Was it not you? Oops.

Either way, those high quality standards were set by me, and not having any videos at all is way worse than having some mediocre quality videos.

I'm not the type of person who would be comfortable sacrificing quality for quantity haha, but I do know what you mean.

In any case, Arupaeo's idea could work, so we'll see if we decide to go ahead with it.
