Good look at the Chassis.

Ah so the chassis has the blades? yeah 2D isnt gonna be competitive.
Thank god, im a lot happier to hear that. It also makes lucifer seem a lot less focused so it doesn’t seem more prominent than Uranus since this means neither have ring gimmicks.

I personally think its defense will be pretty good, cause its blades look sturdy. However no one will know till release of course. I think if it does lose alot of stamina it'll be related to the layer, rather than driver. I dont know much about the science of beyblade and stuff, but I would imagine with its blades if it went off balance, that would really mess up the stamina.

edit: I think it may be sorta like Helios in a way that, no its parts dont go to well together and it does suffer from stamina, however it can deal solid attacks at times (but in Lucifer's case, it would be defense). However I think Lucifers parts would go better together than Helios' overall, and if you want another antagonist bey you can always kill your wallet, and get Uranus. (jk on that last part but lots of people prob will)

Realistically Regalia Genesis is more of a Stamina type than a Defense type. Most of the defensiveness it has is simply because the layer spins around infinitely and the bey has decent bulk. Its ability to stall helps as well to evade Attack types that have already burned out enough power to no longer reach the tornado ridge well, but overall it doesn't really act like a Defense type at all.

The blades of 2D don't look like good contact points at all. Sharp spears make for very weak defensive contacts, like Leone/Counter Leone from MFB or Burst's Duo/Left Apollos, and usually give it trouble offensively as well. Even if they're sturdy enough to avoid breakage they're fast moving outer edge points slamming into things, which is going to severely slow it down even without taking floor scrapes into mind (though its wide looking driver might help prevent this?). Just overall it looks like a strategy that's bound to fail, especially since the spikes are so wide and have so much space between them, though I'd love for it to surprise me and be better than expected.
The "barrier blades," as I like to call them, are so long and thin that the gaps between them are huge. Huge gaps/indents create a lot of rotational recoil, which will slow down the 2D combo by a ton during Same-Spin matches. This is intensified by the fact that the barrier blades don't have any metal to at least increase OWD and make the combo slightly harder to slow down. I think the 2D Chassis might be interesting in Opposite-Spin matches because the 2D combo could just stay in the middle and destabilize the opponent. I imagine it would be effective on something like Bearing or Keep'. Maybe if Mobius is somewhat like a shorter but wider (and therefore more effective) version of Quest, this Beys stock combo could be a Left-Spin killer? I don't know, just trying to be optimistic here.

Id imagine that would be, anime-wise at least, why Lane uses Lucifer when matched up against Lui. Or why the writers matched Lui against Lane, at least. Its a perfect bey to demonstrate Lucifer's gimmick on, due to the opposite spin of Longinus. Im not a beyblade expert by any means, but the opposite spin making less recoil thing makes sense to me. That being said, I could imagine Hikaru having a tougher time with it, while Hyuga would absolutely shred the poor bey.
Definitely not using 2D when I get this since it would suck in same spin matchups since it’s gimmick would slow the bey even further down once it’s velocity is lowered and it doesn’t produce enough recoil to knock the opponent out or burst them at the right time but I gotta say, I wonder how much it weighs.
It appears like Lucifer is gonna have Metal. This is probably gonna be the only comptetive part from this set. Just like Diabolos was the only comptetive part from last year's July release.
Mobius is apparently made of POM according to the part description so maybe it actually is a variation of bearing. Definitely not a suction cup.

Its a pom version of rise I believe
As a rough translation of part descriptions;

Sparking Chip - Lucifer
Featuring a Lucifer motif, this right-spin Sparking Chip features metal parts via a built-in Chip Core that produces heavy attack power.

Ring - Valiant/Variant
A defense-type right-spin Ring with a sharp counter blade and a thick striking blade alternately arranged to repel attacks.

Chassis - 2-Defense
A defense-type dual-spin Double Chassis that features six barrier blades that deploy to neutralise attacks during high rotation speeds.

Driver - Mobius
A free-spinning defense-type Driver made of the super low friction material POM, allowing it to receive attacks without losing its balance.

TLDR:
Thats awesome! We haven't had free-spinning POM since Bearing. Not that the POM makes a huge difference, but if its the right shape and with a stronger spring than Bearing, it could certainly be interesting.
if its pom.. this means most likely poor defense

Yeah they didn’t think that one through lmao. Maybe it’s wide-set to avoid it being knocked over (still poor knockout resistance though).
Despite all of its weaknesses, I think it’ll still be decent. Either way it just looks like a cool bey to have.
Well, just got back from a small break, and saw everything’s been updated for this product. First off, Variant Lucifer looks quite nice, possibly one of my favorite looking sparking beys we have seen so far. Variant Lucifer has an interesting shape, but I am not sure whether or not it will actually be competitive, since the shape does look a bit spiky which could lead it to having too much recoil. 2D is interesting with its gimmick, but I think the wings are gonna probably break easily, and from a sideways view it looks bulky, so not very sure whether or not it will have use. Morbius looks like bearing, so I hope it essentially is but with a better spring. The right launcher also looks nice. Overall, an exciting release for sure.

I mean, I doubt the chassis wings will break since there are 6 of them. As for the ring, recoil doesn’t matter much to be honest since you can just use it with a double chassis (if your willing to give it another chassis type, but I’m sure some other types of non defense chassis are good for defense too). Doesn’t look like it has too much recoil to begin with since the spikes are somewhat small-probably has lower recoil than super and brave to be honest. Apollo has seriously poisoned people’s minds about spiky layers.

Btw, the wings aren’t gonna break guys, there are 6 of them and large amount of contact points effectively means lower recoil which would therefore mean beys with not hit the wings too hard you can relax lmao
What is it with these villains. First we had diabolos who regularly skipped leg days. Now we have this lego ninjago wanna be.

Diabolos wasn't a villain.

Lego Ninjago is a combination of Lego and Beyblade in the first place XD.
I wonder how hasbro will go about this.

The gimmick seems that the beyblade will break easily. It's very fragile. Heck, I'd be surprised for it to even win against a different beyblade and not break within the first hour of playing.

they prob wont add blades at all tbh. the blades may break, but I personally think they're sturdy enough.
