Hello bladers! This thread is to gauge interest in a Hasbro Only Ranked Clause for Beyblade X similar to the one we currently have for Beyblade Burst.
I have yet to find a way to identify branding for ratchets or bits outside of unique colors TT hasn't released yet (e.g. brown Point and Flat), so I'm assuming there's at least some degree of "if it's in the pool it's fine". Blades sure, you've got the QR code, but how far does this go for other parts? Recolors of parts that are in the pool but distinctly TT?

Mostly asking just because I really just don't remember how this is done with Burst as nobody in the Midwest to my knowledge has actually done Hasbro Only anything.
My two cents:

Hasbro's current part pool is competitive enough with TT's that I don't think this matters for the most part, compared to Hasbro's Burst shenanigans. I am fine with unranked play doing Hasbro only, but I think Organizer discussions currently have had me lean towards less clauses for X ranked play
A non-WBO org here has run hasbro only X for the past few months and it's been a nice refresher or change of pace. It does feel like its own format though, to be honest. I would prefer to see the rankings separately because the stadium does change the meta significantly.
To answer MagikHorse, how we did it here was any part was usable as long as hasbro released the same named part. So you can use your TT bits, ratchets and blades, just restricted to what's available through hasbro.

The way it’s done for burst is that layers and drivers must be hasbro, but discs and frames may be used from either brand, I’d assume a clause for this gen would be similar, allowing tt parts as long as they have been released by hasbro. The real tricky part would be what’s considered released by hasbro, the release schedule is incredibly terrible, so would something like Wizard Rod and Dran Buster be legal since they have been spotted at Meijers? There’s also tt exclusive molds such as mold 1 ratchet hooks and the new mold 3 Phoenix Wing and Dran Dagger, really curious if any of those would be considered legal if hasbro only were a clause right now.

It was also hypersphere disks and forward were different than TT so they had to specifically be the Hasbro versions

I agree with both points here.

1. If the hasbro only starts to ebb and flow too much away from being able to compete with TT then it should be it's own format(especially if we keep playing in respective company stadium(s)).

2. Rules clause bloat is real for sure. I'm running my first event next weekend and we're using:
i. MN ban
ii. Out of Bounds Over Finish
iii. First stage, 3v3: best of 3, continuous side switching
iv. Second stage, deck: loser picks sides

Now i, ii, and continuous side switching is all normal for our scene, but if you're new it's a lot to take in. If you're not new, your established players may skim over them in the post(most people signing up for the tournament are missing the deck clause).
I feel a clause makes sense if only until a separate format is formally established. The stadium change alone makes it enough of a change to warrant a new division in my experience of hosting HasX events.

Drivers were a thing for Hasbro Only because drivers weren't cross compatible between brands properly for Burst, but that doesn't apply to X the same way obviously.

And as I see it Buster and Wand would be legal because they are still decently available in some regions. I flat out own Hasbro Wand and Buster, it'd be awfully silly for me to not be able to run them in Hasbro Only rules. TyrannoBeat too technically, I've seen an image of someone who found the TyrannoBeat/ShinobiKnife two pack already too.

As for different molding, it's probably fine if we're going by "Hasbro has released the part" rules. Any mold variances would have to be manually mentioned somewhere to be disallowed I'd think.
