Cant switch into anything from lucario and in most scenarios Lucario is either going to have a +2 boost from swords dance which will 1hit KO even the bulkiest breloom sets. Or breloom will be soo weaken late in the game that Mega Lucario can just come in and tag it first with extreme speed. Blazekin has to be careful though because with that boost in attack power I foresee a lot of agility based lucario sets. 1 agility means Blazekin needs 3 turns to outspeed a jolly Lucario and on the turn Blazekin uses protect Lucario could very well go for the agility which means Lucario will KO Blazekin. And Blazekin doesn't get a double stab unless its fire moves under the Sun. And Blazekin isn't broken, he has many counters in OU. Because you need protect to get spped boost up then you aoutmatically lose coverage. Then if you want to use swords dance that only leaves you a 2 attack move slots. It also doesn't help that Blazekin's best fighting move is High Jump Kick. switch jellient in and your gonna either crash and KO yourself with High Jump Kick or have a fire move on hand which also won't do much. Then Gyarados can come in on you, gliscor, Hippodown, the list is huge. Lucario can just run an all attack set and still have enough power to cause serious damage with close combat. And even if you sacrifice a slot for SD or agility you can still hit many of your threats super effectively or really hurt them just from the sheer damage of that darn close combat.
Mawile still needs to watch out for garchomp. Its also important to note that most Dragons have access to super effective fire, fighting, and ground moves. And with Mawile being so darn slow there's no way it is countering much.
That's why you use death fodder and then switch to Breloom, its only logical. Why in the world would you dry switch a Breloom into a lucario? I understand your other points though, nonetheless Sableye would be a very dependent counter, because the only thing Lucario could outspeed with would be E-speed and obviously that doesn't effect Sableye, in some scenarios I see Bullet Punch but then the Lucario doesn't tend to carry E-speed, so Breloom could clean up.
By double stab on Blaziken I meant the Hi Jump Kick + Flare Blitz, and Blaziken is- or should I say was broken in OU which is why it got banned. There is only one true counter to a common Blaziken set (in OU) and that is Flash Fire Chandelure because neither Flare Blitz or Hi jump kick could scratch it, although some people carry Shadow Claw, which is weird, because you have to sacrifice protect. Everything else take immense damage under the sun.
E.G 252 Atk Life Orb Blaziken Flare Blitz vs. 248 HP / 216+ Def Jellicent in sun: 170-200 (42.18 - 49.62%) -- 31.25% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock
With plus 2 attack (Which is commom) instead and Stealth Rock damage, there's a 75% chance to OHKO. To be honest though, any good player would be able to predict a simple switch in such as a Jellicent, if the opponent themselves feared a Hi-jump-kick.
Oh and about Mawile, I was joking aha, it would only be good for Outrage switch ins, or Calm Mind Latias sets as they mostly carry just dragon pulse for damage.
There should be another thread for all this competitive talk, it's fun and I don't wanna spam the X and Y thread.
