Pokemon X and Y!

I honestly think that they just didn't want to go with the cliche of Light v. Dark lol I get what you mean with the old Good v. Evil and stuffedy, though.

Same goes for adding new evolutions/baby forms to older Pokemon, it's just a little weird that all of a sudden they can change into/come from something new.
I completely get you here. "O looky! 2 years after I've gotten my Gligar, NOW it can evolve...that makes sense..."
Fairy type is super effective on Dragon.. I don't see why you keep saying it's super effective on Dark, and Poison type is super effective on Fairy.
Please tell me where I said it was?
I said it is "speculated" that it will be.
So I hear dragons don't like fairies :V

I was hesitant at first by the name; it didn't feel like Pokemon since it's more specific than most types (all except Steel, which always felt like an overly specific way to say "rock" to me). However, hearing which old Pokemon are getting the new typing was pretty cool, which warmed me up to it a bit. I love me a Jigglypuff fairy *u*

So the Y legend is really, really cool. The X legend, though...

LOL
Wow the pokemon in this game look awesome. Shows they really listens to criticisms that Black and White pokemon weren't as good as they could have been for some people with really high standards (like me, I hate 80 % of the black and white series pokemon)
http://www.serebii.net/xy/pokemon.shtml Even more pokemon shown. Shishiko is pretty cool, not anything really special.
Wow. Sky battles?! That's awesome can't wait! In the new trailer I also saw a few more new Pokémon. Anybody know the names yet?
The sky battles seem like they just wanted to throw an extra gimmick in the game. I can't say I really like it.

I agree that it is too specific, but then a LOT of other types such as Dragon, Bug, Flying etc are too specific too. It's kind of labelling a species rather than a "Type"; why should their be a type based on what species it's based on? This also limits secondary types.

Again this is why I think something like a Light type would have been a better choice. Yeah it's kind of cliche but Dark already exists so it makes sense.

This. A lot of the new stuff is just gimmicky.
I absolutely love the design of Noivern soooo much...
Noivern just reminds me of Crobat's buff cousin that always seems to end up in jail, because he looks to awesome.
Just preordered Y at Target last night.

As for the new Pokemon, Noivern and Pancham have to be my favorites. When I first saw Noivern during the E3 livestream, I was afraid it'd be the Kalos region's equivalent of Crobat and Swoobat... Thankfully it isn't. Noivern is most likely going to be on my team, especially if you can get its basic form early on.

Sky Battles and Horde Encounters seem interesting to me. Sure, they're new gimmicks, but they looked pretty cool imo. Just imagine walking into a cave, and first thing, finding a horde of Zubat...

Anyway, I'll definitely be picking Chespin as my starter (#ChespinChamps), and I'll also pick up Noivern, Pancham, and possibly the fire cub Pokemon. X and Y have the potential to be great games, maybe on par with Gen 3 and Gen 5.

Oh, also: Didn't see this posted anywhere on the last couple of pages, but the official worldwide release date is October 12th. Kind of odd, seeing as that's a Saturday, and Pokemon games are usually released on Sundays... But hey, one less day to wait, I guess Tongue_out

I think Noivern will be a standalone Pokemon. Nintendo would have most likely revealed a first stage before revealing Noivern.

Hah, you must have started with Gen III. Gen III & V are my least favourite, I & II all the way!

That's a good point, actually. Regardless, it'll still be on my team.

Admittedly, I started with LeafGreen, but I've played through Blue and Crystal as well, so I have experience with all generations. I love all of the games, but I felt that III and V had the best plots, as well as some of the best Pokemon designs (inb4 "Garbodor and Vanilluxe"). It just felt like the plot aspect in gens I and II was lacking. III and V also had some of my favorite music from the entire series, such as the Steven battle music or the Black/White Kyurem battle music. Could just be me.
According to Bulbapedia, Noivern is a Flying/dragon type...I LOVE IT

They revealed Villovern before its basic stages, and even those were revealed through CoroCoro leaks only. Just saying.
Can't wait for this! I'm preordering X soon!
Sorry if there was already something on this, but frankly, I don't want to read through 350+ posts.

Anyway, does anyone know if there will be a pre-order bonus, and if so, which seller? (Store, website, etc.)
Whew, I'm loving generation VI. Furebebe (or Flabébé in english) is probably my favorite Pokemon in X and Y.
Yveltal is better than Xerneas, but that isnt important..........Who thinks the new Fairy Type is stupid??
Talonflame is looking like my favorite of this generation by far.

And yes, the Fairy Type is just kind of..lame.
Who Doesn't like miniature pixie people that sprinkle fairy dust everywhere? If there was no Fairy type, there would be no Tooth Fairy or Tinkerbell! We all know deep down that WE LOVE FAIRY TYPES!!!

It comes out on Saturday October 12, 2013. It's weird that they're releasing it on a Saturday this year, they usually release pokemon games on Sundays like they did with Black and White and Black and White 2. Anyways I love the new way of battling, I wonder what'll happen if Wailord battles in the wild? Will it be huge or minimized? I wonder if we'll be able to catch other legendaries from past Gens like they did with B2 W2, HGSS, Platinum etc.
