[Plastics] :: Q&A Thread

I am about 75% sure the beyblades in this set are fake, but just to make sure, are they fake?

Did Hasbro ever make Dragoon Grip Attacker?

Yup. I believe it was one of Hasbro's first releases. (I think).
Here's a picture of Serotonin's Grip Attacker.

All fake.

Gonna add something about this not being for HMS to the title.

Also how many different variations are there of Spark Knight? I've seen a sold yellow one, a solid orange one and obviously the clear orange one.

If you wanted to get one, here is a clear yellow takara one.

May want to fix that link, you've reposted the one from your previous post Tongue_out
Thanks, Th!nk. Fixed the link. The seller from that item is REALLY reliable. He has a small amount of some of the first plastics released for an EXELLENT price. I bought my Kid's Draciel from him for $7.99 + $3.00 Shipping. It came in 8 days after I purchased it.
Thanks a bunch!

I, uhh, I just bought it. It'll make a really nice birthday present for me. Eee
Happy Birthday! I was SOO wanting to buy it, but I think you may appreciate it more than I would, and he has a polta so it may satisfy me just as much. I'm glad to be a help. He also has knight dranzer, megaro arm, and bump king I know they both suck, but which is better overall: (both takara) knight dranzer or bump king?
Haha, my birthday isn't for a couple of months, so it will be a waiting game, but it'll be worth it in the end. I appreciate you posting the link Smile

Bump king is the worst beyblade ever, but it has novelty value as a result. Knight Dranzer has SG Semi Flat, which is a decent base, though it's available in many, many more things.
Which has more collective value? (takara)

I'm here if you ever need to find good pricing on eBay. Wink
Honestly, all three are pretty common. Bump King is probably better known, but then they are not in short supply thanks to that seller from canada who has like, a warehouse full of NIB Hasbro ones (though we're now on the third one he's sent me, hopefully this'll arrive). Knight Dranzer I think is also available NIB hasbro from them, I'm not sure, but generally it's not a popular beyblade at all. Megaro Arm might be your best bet, but they're not exactly hard to find on Y!JA.

In the end, I'd go for bump king for novelty value.
Does winning or losing with plastics in the WBO ever affect you beypoints?
Hey I have a question about RC plastic Beyblades I have a RC Dragoon V launcher and a silver RC blade base most likely from Wolborg 4. But there is a problem I can't connect the base to the recharging port of the launcher. So my question is are there different molds for the RC launchers and bases or is there some special trick to connect these two together?

At the moment, it does not. If it were to eventually, it would most likely be a separate ranking system from MFB.

I always thought it was the same but maybe they changed it... I'm afraid I can't help much, not one of my areas of knowledge, maybe someone else will know.
Would Dranzer V2's "Cross Survivor" SP be good for some attack customs? It seems like it'd give the bey an extra "oomph". Similar to BD145.

Also, I am wondering what would be a better WD with Triple Tiger, Ten Heavy or Ten Wide?
I would like to ask if it is legal to filp a sub attack ring so you could use a certain feature in the other direction for example flip Galzzly's sub ring over so the sharp point is facing the right. And would it be legal to use a short case like Dranzer S with a longer shaft like the tip of Wolborg?
Flash: Cross Survival SP don't add any attack, but they can work well on attackers just based off their good weight distribution. BD145 does not give a beyblade any real extra oomph, at least not without taking some away. As for the best WD, depends what you're doing, if your combo is geared towards upper attack, 10 heavy, if its smash, 10 wide.

Kenshin: Flipping SAR's isn't legal. I'd like it to be, but it isn't. Check the sg/tip/casing compatibility doc for info on the second. If it goes together then yeah, it's legal, but wolborg's casings don't work well in that setup IIRC.
How much is a used Orthros G worth and how rare is it?
Used? Uhh, I'd say $30-40 Maximum but IMO it's a very overpriced beyblade. They are moderately rare. I'm not sure on the price though, with used blades you really need to take it on a case by case basis based on how worn they are.
Ok so i have an Orthors G any help on what plastics should i buy to make a good attack or stamina bey using both the plastics.
Orthros G's AR is rather recoily for any base that won't cost you a fortune (and it hasn't been tested on the ones that will), but if you get Dragoon V2 and anything with a Right or Neo Right spin gear (which is basically every non-dragoon, non-G/GT Series beyblade), you could use it's AR on that, however generally if you got Dragoon V2, you'd be better off just buying a Dragoon G, and using it's AR and WD on the other parts of dragoon V2 anyway. Dragoon V2 isn't cheap though. If you're on a really tight budget, you'd be better off buying either a Driger S (preferrably a used takara/hasbro one, the Sonokong ones on ebay aren't fully compatible with takara/hasbro parts and the tip shape is nowhere near as good), or even a Driger G, which isn't great but it's passable out of the box, cheap and easily available, and has useful parts for attack and other stuff later on.

As for stamina, plastics stamina is pretty much just zombies, which are expensive, the closest thing after that would be balance or defense types with decent stamina, like Wolborg 4's Base and CEW, a decent stamina AR (Tiger Defenser (Driger S) is a good choice, though again, not easy to get a proper one, though you may be able to force a SonoKong one on), and 10 Balance weight disk, which is probably the cheapest example that's actually a good competitive combo.
I think that I own a "Great Dragon", but I really don't know which component it is. I'm really embarassed
Can anyone tell me where is possible to find it?
Is it useful for the competitive game?

Thanks
