Pegasis Pegasis R145RF
Hey guys!
I am happy to say that I've finally replaced nearly all of my parts/equipment, and I've received a new stock of rubber tips. So, without further a due, the combo!
The concept:
Spoiler (Click to View)
The concept of this combo is quite simple... knock the living daylights out of anything you touch! This combo is built to be a pure, heavy-hitting attack type, designed to deliver the absolute maximum measure of smash to its opponents. It's not very complicated.
This custom works well against most anything. It's behavior is actually very similar to Wyvang's, disadvantageous against most of the same things. E230 and Duo are considerably difficult to win against with this Beyblade, but such weaknesses are prominent among nearly all Synchrom attackers, so it certainly is neither unexpected nor abnormal for this custom to lose to such opponents.
That was kinda a short explanation... XD
The launch:
Spoiler (Click to View)
A simple sliding shoot should do the trick for this customization under most circumstances, but it does benefit greatly from a slightly more shallow launch. Deep banking is a horrendously ineffective option for use with this custom... as slightly more shallow bank than normal is best.
Launching relatively far up on the tornado ridge will usually allow a greater range of movement, and will greatly benefit this attacker as well.
Parts Choice:

Normal face: MSF on this combo really didn't do well for me. It didn't seem to provide very much recoil reduction, and the drop in speed, mobility, and stamina was definitely not a worthy trade. :\
Pegasis: Pegasis is the crux of this combination. One reason I used it is because it has never been tested before. The second being the fact that it can produce unbelievably high levels of smash, even out-doing Wyvang occasionally.
The only disadvantage of using Pegasis, is the fact that it has very high recoil when hit from below, and as such, combos such as MF-H Diablo Kerbecs BD145RF with a low-protruding Metal Wheel will have little trouble KOing consistently. However, it's massive levels of smash more than make up for this drawback, IMO.
R145: R145 is a classic track to use with 3-sided attack customs. The weight distribution, providing notable balance, favors 3 sided Metal/Chrome Wheels greatly, and can also serve as a secondary attack point against very low opponents (IE Scythe 85RS).
I tried S130 in this custom to eliminate the disadvantage against low-height customs, but it seemed to hurt the combo's smash a little too much. :\ R145 was better overall from what I tested.
RF: Rubber Flat is tremendously effective on conventional attack type combos, providing plenty of speed and friction/traction to deliver the smash of the Metal/Chrome Wheel to its potential.
My choice over R2F was a hard one to make, but RF seemed to provide a much more stable, consistent, controllable movement pattern, as well as slightly better recoil handling and a visibly superior level of raw smash. Obviously this is an opinionated matter, but from what I've seen I far prefer RF over R2F for this custom.
Testing Videos:

This video is a great representation of this combos ability, and I think it reflects a very average performance.
As you can see, the thing completely destroyed Revizer! KOs all over the place... very impressive sight from what I've seen. Hope this helped a bit!
Testing:

OK, so my launch wasn't that great today... I'm still recovering from a 12-hour car ride. XD Just note that attack results won't be as high as normal, but I've still provided benchmarks so comparison shouldn't be a problem.
Benchmarks:
Spoiler (Click to View)
Wyvang Wyvang GB145RF vs. Revizer Revizer BD145RDF
Revizer launched first on all launches. New RF, slightly worn RDF.
Wyvang: wins, 12/20 (All KO)
Revizer: wins, 8/20 (All OS)
Wyvang Wyvang GB145RF win rate: 60%
MF-H Flash Orion GB145RF vs. Revizer Revizer BD145RDF
Revizer launched first on all launches. New RF, slightly worn RDF.
Orion: wins, 9/20 (All KO)
Revizer: wins, 11/20 (All OS)
MF-H Flash Orion GB145RF win rate: 45%
I did these with RF to compare the metal wheels better, just to eliminate most of the variables.
Vs. Defense:

Pegasis Pegasis R145RF vs. Revizer Revizer BD145RDF
Revizer launched first on all launches. New RF, slightly worn RDF.
Pegasis: wins, 13/20 (All KO)
Revizer: wins, 7/20 (All OS)
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF win rate: 65%
Now, I know what you're thinking... I know its a bit hard to believe that it actually did better than Wyvang, but one must remember the variables involved with attack testing. I would not be quick to say that this thing produces more smash than Wyvang, but from what I've seen it is certainly a very, very powerful custom in terms of smash.
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF vs. Revizer Killerken E230RSF
Revizer launched first on all launches. New RF, worn-ish RSF.
Pegasis: wins, 7/20 (5 KO, 2 OS)
Killerken: wins, 13/20 (All OS)
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF win rate: 35%
Yah... Synchrom attackers don't usually do too great against E230. :\ Seems we have yet to find one besides Balro that does.
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF vs. Revizer Dragooon BD145RDF
Revizer launched first on all launches. New RF, slightly worn RDF.
Pegasis: wins, 10/20 (All KO)
Dragooon: wins, 10/20 (All OS)
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF win rate: 50%
Yah... my launch was a bit rusty today. I can tell you that, with a good launch, Pegasis had no trouble making a clean KO. It actually did considerably better than most attack types against left-spin defense from what I saw. It certainly performed better than Balro and Wyvang for me, but that may have just been luck.
This is one case where R2F would most likely be advantageous over RF. KOing left-spin defense is much easier with higher speed. From my informal testing, 70% would be easily achievable with a good R2F.
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF vs. MF-H Duo Aquario BD145RB
Aquario launched first on all launches. New RF, slightly worn RB.
Pegasis: wins, 8/20 (6 KO, 2 OS)
Aquario: wins, 12/20 (All OS)
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF win rate: 40%
No surprise here. Synchrom attack types have never performed well against Duo. :\
The problem here was getting Duo to leave the center. If Pegasis could take the middle of the stadium away from Duo early in the match and hit from the inside, it had no trouble making a clean KO, or simply slamming Duo into the air until it either flipped over and scraped or lost its spin velocity from the impact.
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF vs. MF-H Scythe Uranus 85RS
Uranus launched first on all launches. New RF, slightly worn RS.
Pegasis: wins, 17/20 (1 KO, 16 OS)
Uranus: wins, 3/20 (1 KO, 2 OS)
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF win rate: 85%
This is where R145 came into play... Pegasis would run into Uranus, and R145 would force it into the ground, causing it to scrape nearly every time. This is definitely an advantage the custom has over other Synchrom attack types IMO.
Vs. Stamina:

Pegasis Pegasis R145RF vs. Duo Cancer W145WD
Cancer launched first on all launches. New RF.
Pegasis: wins, 9/10 (All KO)
Cancer: wins, 1/10 (1 OS)
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF win rate: 90%
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF vs. Duo Cancer 230D
Cancer launched first on all launches. New RF.
Pegasis: wins, 9/10 (All KO)
Cancer: wins, 1/10 (1 OS)
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF win rate: 90%
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF vs. Duo Cancer 160PD
Cancer launched first on all launches. New RF.
Pegasis: wins, 10/10 (All KO)
Cancer: wins, 0/10
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF win rate: 100%
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF vs. Revizer Dragooon SA165EWD
Dragooon launched first on all launches. New RF, new EWD.
Pegasis: wins, 16/20 (All KO)
Dragooon: wins, 4/20 (All OS)
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF win rate: 80%
Booyah! Total decimation.
Vs. Attack:

Pegasis Pegasis R145RF vs. MF-H Flash Orion GB145R2F
Dragooon launched first on all launches. New RF, Prime R2F.
Pegasis: wins, 15/20 (3 KO, 12 OS)
Dragooon: wins, 4/20 (3 KO, 2 OS)
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF win rate: 75%
Flash was able to get a bit underneath Pegasis, and, as I addressed earlier, this combo's recoil from below is a bit disadvantageous. I wouldn't expect a problem with Flash at all, though. Just pointing out exactly what happened.
Now that I think about it, I expected more KOs out of that match. Go figure. XD
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF vs. Wyvang Dragooon SA165R2F
Dragooon launched first on all launches. New RF, Prime R2F.
Pegasis: wins, 0/10
Dragooon: wins, 10/10 (All OS)
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF win rate: 0%
Yah... R145 doesn't exactly provide much LAD. Pegasis was able to resist KO pretty decently, though. Again, more KOs probably would've come out of this if my launch had been in slightly better shape.
Vs. Balance:
Spoiler (Click to View)
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF vs. MF-H Diablo Kerbecs BD145RF
Dragooon launched first on all launches. New RF, worn-ish RF. Bottoms swapped after round 10.
Pegasis: wins, 2/20 (All OS)
Kerbecs: wins, 18/20 (14 KO, 4 OS)
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF win rate: 10%
Holy Clear Wheels this was bad! Pegasis certainly has high recoil from below. If you happen to counter a Diablo combo, take my advice and try a tornado stall. You won't get far banking, that's for sure.
However, Diablo is used a counter to attack, so, although it doesn't do as well as other attackers, it is quite understandable that Pegasis would lose to this. Wyvang or Balro would definitely work better against this, though.
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF vs. Wyvang Wyvang BD145RSF
Wyvang launched first on all launches. New RF, worn-ish RSF.
Pegasis: wins, 10/20 (8 KO, 2 OS)
Wyvang: wins, 10/20 (3 KO, 7 OS)
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF win rate: 50%
This was close... This is why I like Wyvang for defense. It hits back hard. XD
Well, this usually came down to whichever combo had a wall behind it, and they came out pretty much even.
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF vs. MF-H Duo Cancer 230MB
Cancer launched first on all launches. New RF, new MB.
Pegasis: wins, 16/120 (All KO)
Cancer: wins, 4/10 (All OS)
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF win rate: 80%
Um... so yah. Kinda whipped Duo, not surprising at all for any decent attack type.
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF vs. Genbull Dragooon F230CF
Dragooon launched first on all launches. New RF.
Pegasis: wins, 16/20 (All KO)
Dragooon: wins, 4/20 (3 OS, 1 KO)
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF win rate: 80%
I think I'm gonna cry! *SNIFF*
This... is... awesome!! Dragooon F230 has always totally overpowered attack types (and everything competitive, for that matter) in the past. I myself have personally lost to it multiple times using Balro. If I launched level (near the middle of the stadium worked a bit better) and stalled, Pegasis was able to get just underneath the bottom chrome wheel (tried it informally with Revizer to... same result) and bash it upward!
It actually knocked Dragooon up and over the wall multiple times! Dragooon F230 is, in my opinion, totally broken... having any combo, let alone an attack type that can take it out will be absolutely great! XD

Pegasis Pegasis R145RF vs Duo Aquario BD145RB
Aquario was launched first
Pegasis: wins, 10/20 (8 KO, 2 OS)
Aquario: wins, 10/20 (All OS)
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF win rate: 50%
Duo Aquario BD145RB win rate: 50%
So I've got mostly the same kind of results.
My friend launched Revizer for the one you've just requested. I apologise for any launching mistakes, eg. low power, etc from both him, and me.
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF vs. Revizer Revizer BD145RDF
Revizer launched first on all launches. Both tips have been used for around a week... no more.
Pegasis: wins, 6/10 (All KO)
Revizer: wins, 4/20 (All OS)
Pegasis Pegasis R145RF win rate: 60%
Revizer Revizer BD145RDF win rate: 40%
What you've shown:
Pegasis Pegasis CH120R2F vs. Revizer Revizer BD145RDF
Revizer launched first on all launches. Prime R2F, slightly worn RDF.
Pegasis: wins, 6/10 (All KO)
Revizer: wins, 4/10 (All OS)
Pegasis Pegasis CH120R2F win rate: 60%
What I've got:
Pegasis Pegasis CH120R2F vs. Revizer Revizer BD145RDF
Revizer was always launched first
Pegasis: wins, 11/20 (10 KO)
Revizer: wins, 9/20 (All OS)
Pegasis Pegasis CH120R2F win rate: 55%
As you can see here, jacolal and I each benchmarked with Pegasis Pegasis CH120R2F... our results were 5% off, and, mathematically, comparing results to benchmarks our results with Pegasis Pegasis R145RF were nearly exactly identical, so our results have been the same, but:
(Feb. 05, 2013 11:18 PM)Blitz Wrote: While I was on a roll with Girago attack testing I thought I'd give Pegasis^2 ago.
Attack Stadium.
Launcher Grip + BeyLauncher L/R for both.
Slightly worn RDF, Calm-ish, shot at about 70-80%.
Mint R2F, sliding shot at 100%.
Dragooon combo shot first.
Pegasis^2 CH120R2F VS MSF-H Wyvang Dragooon BD145RDF
Pegasis^2 CH120R2F: 6 Wins (All KO's)
MSF-H Wyvang Dragooon BD145RDF: 14 Wins (12 by OS, 2 KO's)
These results are certainly not too impressive... although this combo used different parts, Pegasis Pegasis is still used on a notable attack setup. :\ We need more testing!
Counters:
Spoiler (Click to View)
(MF-H) Diablo Kerbecs/Unicorno BD145RF
(MSF-H) Reviser Killerken E230RSF/RB/RDF
Wyvang Dragooon SA165/BD145R2F/LRF
Well, overall, I'd say that this thing is a carping TANK! Much more impressive than attack types using a single Pegasis... The thing is crazy from what I've seen, even putting up numbers as high, or sometimes even higher than Wyvang against defense. This thing has top-tier written all over it IMO. I think we've stumbled upon something awesome here...
Thanks for reading! Testing would be appreciated.
