All Chrome Wheels are unbalanced, because of their design. It was TAKARA TOMY'S intent to make them this way so that even with Synchrom, the heavier Beyblades would be unbalanced. However, Synchrom is illegal
in Limited Format and finding a Chrome Wheel with the most even weight distribution is important. Basically I'm trying to find which is the most balanced by looking at Solo Spin time on identical setups and movement patterns.
I searched for this, and the only thing that seemed relevant was the "MFB solo spin time" thread, but I thought it would be better to post in its own topic (since it's more relevant to Limited anyways) a list of times for each Chrome Wheel. For all of them, I used a Shinobi 145D setup and tested both Chrome up and Crystal up. I used Shinobi because it seemed to me like the most balanced Crystal Wheel with the best weight distribution.
Ifraid
Chrome Up:
- 1:15:16
- 1:18:38
- 1:16:94
- 1:20:55
- 1:16:10
average: 1:17:23
Ifraid would move in an aggressive pattern when launched and shook a lot when stationary.
Crystal Up
- 1:57:88
- 1:49:42
- 1:53:06
- 2:00:36
- 1:57:40
average: 1:55.62
In Crystal Up Ifraid was a lot more calm although it still went in small circles before settling down.
Saramanda
Chrome Up:
- 1:31:26
- 1:28:19
- 1:30:82
- 1:23:31
- 1:24:76
average: 1:27:67
Saramanda was just as aggressive as Ifraid, except its movements were more jerky and inconsistent. It would also shake a lot after settling down.
Crystal Up:
- 1:23:28
- 1:27:54
- 1:21:03
- 1:17:25
- 1:20:13
average: 1:21:85
Although in Crystal Up Saramanda's movements were as jerky as before it shook slightly less near the end of its spin.
Orojya
Chrome Up:
- 1:55:00
- 2:09:43
- 1:58:67
- 1:59:23
- 2:02:68
average: 2:01:00
Orojya was not very aggressive, and barely shook at all after it had settled down.
Crystal Up:
- 2:07:47
- 2:00:29
- 1:59:20
- 2:11:67
- 2:02:33
average: 2:04:26
It basically acted the same in Crystal Up. The times were also very similar.
Revizer (aka the Chrome Wheel that barely breaks a minute)
Chrome Up:
- 39:33
- 45:46
- 42:39
- 41:87
- 46:08
average: 43:03
Revizer has the
worst balance out of any Chrome Wheel. Its movements were jerkier than Saramanda's and it continued to hop up and down when it was in the middle of the stadium.
Crystal Up:
- 57:61
- 1:01:56
- 1:03:29
- 59:03
- 1:01:87
average: 1:00:67
Revizer's Stamina is still horrible in Crystal Up. The movements were still jerky, but more subdued and while it didn't hop it still shook a lot.
Phoenic

- 1:32:48
- 1:29:94
- 1:33:24
- 1:34:06

Crystal Up:
- 1:36:69

Gryph

- 2:27:35
- 2:24:84
- 2:18:38
- 2:34:18
- 2:31:21
average: 2:27:19
Gryph actually surprised me, being an Attack wheel. It was not aggressive at all and spun smoothly.
Crystal Up:
- 1:33:86
- 1:23:68
- 1:21:98
- 1:23:00
- 1:24:30
average: 1:25:36
It was aggressive and shook. Use Gryph in Chrome up, preferably on a LTAC.
Killerken
Chrome Up:
- 2:07:55
- 2:21:46
- 2:19:37
- 1:58:63
- 2:15:16
average: 2:12:43
After Gryph, Killerken was underwhelming. It was calm and spun smoothly but just didn't last as long as Gryph.
Crystal Up:
- 1:30:61
- 1:36:42
- 1:39:07
- 1:30:18
- 1:29:77
average: 1:33:21
Killerken was aggressive and shaky in Crystal Up. It basically did the same as Gryph, putting up similar numbers and behavior. They just serve different roles.
Gargoyle
Chrome Up:
- 1:35:45
- 1:39:46
- 1:37:71
- 1:41:01
- 1:42:96
average: 1:39:30
Gargoyle was only a bit aggressive and shook a little when stationary.
Crystal Up:
- 1:42:85
- 1:42:74
- 1:33:30
- 1:35:33
- 1:42:38
average: 1:39:31
Its behavior was basically the same in Crystal Up. The only thing memorable about Gargoyle is that the averages are almost the same.
Dragooon
Chrome Up:
- 2:26:45
- 2:40:51
- 2:31:68
- 2:26:90
- 2:34:09
average: 2:31:93
Dragooon was a tad aggressive, but it spun smoothly and silently for most of the time.
Crystal Up:
- 3:15:43
- 2:49:18
- 2:59:91
- 2:55:46
- 2:57:32
average: 2:59:46
It was a bit more aggressive, but not even to the level of Gargoyle or Orojya. Dragooon blew everything out of the water. No big surprise.
Goreim
Chrome Up:
- 2:35:15
- 2:34:45
- 2:38:70
- 2:33:26
- 2:34:89
average: 2:35:29
Well this was surprising. Goreim was not aggressive and spun smoothly, making me think it is one of the more balanced Chrome Wheels even though no one uses it.
Crystal Up:
- 2:16:57
- 2:23:41
- 2:25:07
- 2:14:65
- 2:16:82
average: 2:19:30
Had the same behavior as it did in Chrome Up.
Bregirados
Chrome Up:
- 1:12:51
- 1:13:61
- 1:21:86
- 1:18:53
- 1:15:42
average: 1:16.39
Aggressive and very shaky. A little worse than Ifraid but nowhere near as bad as Revizer.
Crystal Wheel:
- 1:58:10
- 2:04:61
- 2:06:30
- 2:01:22
- 1:47:80
average: 1:59:61
Bregirados was less aggressive and shaky during these tests. The comparisons for Ifraid and Revizer still stand for Crystal Up.
Genbull
Chrome Up:
- 2:46:35
- 2:49:00
- 2:45:46
- 2:49:50
- 2:52:86
average: 2:48:63
The only thing that could come close to touching Dragooon. It wasn't aggressive at all and spun very smoothly.
Crystal Up:
- 1:42:33
- 1:40:53
- 1:37:30
- 1:38:99
- 1:32:35
average: 1:38:30
Genbull was moderately aggressive and shaky in Crystal Up, not much as Ifraid or Bregirados, but enough to cut its time by a significant amount.
Zirago
Chrome Up:
- 2:12:55
- 2:31:30
- 2:10:66
- 2:05:12
- 2:17:75
average: 2:15:75
It was not aggressive and did not shake. Its times were similar to Killerken. They might be interchangeable due to serving similar roles.
Crystal Up:
- 1:34:90
- 1:31:18
- 1:25:27
- 1:46:19
- 1:31:41
average: 1:33:79
It was somewhat aggressive, slightly more than Genbull but not as much as Ifraid or Bregirados. It didn't shake.
Balro
Chrome Up:
- 2:13:11
- 2:05:75
- 2:07:41
- 1:58:26
- 2:03:10
average: 2:05:53
It was a bit aggressive and shaky, but overall I was surprised it broke 2 minutes since people say Balro has horrible Stamina.
Crystal Up:
- 2:32:11
- 2:21:86
- 2:40:33
- 2:51:73
- 2:29.85
average: 2:35:18
Oh wow it was even better Crystal Up. The shaking all but disappeared and it was a little less aggressive.
Wyvang
Chrome Up:
- 1:32:03
- 1:38:43
- 1:31:95
- 1:13:45
- 1:25:09
average: 1:28:19
As I expected, Wyvang was aggressive and shook quite a bit. It also didn't last too long, but it is an Attack Wheel.
Crystal Up:

- 1:48:14
- 1:31:30
- 1:39:44
- 1:46:08

- 1:41:76
- 1:48:63
- 1:41:60
- 1:42:29
average: 1:42:62
Bahamdia was semi-aggressive and barely shook.
Crystal Up:

- 1:42:55
- 1:44:60
- 1:47:03
- 1:45:73
average: 1:44:95
The behaviors were the same, though Bahamdia seemed to be marginally better in Crystal Up.
Best Averages (Chrome Up)
- Genbull (2:48:63)
- Goreim (2:35:29)
- Dragooon (2:31:93)
- Gryph (2:27:19)

Best Averages (Crystal Up)
- Dragooon (2:59:46)
- Balro (2:35:18)
- Goreim (2:19:30)
- Orojya (2:04:26)

- Wyvang (1:41:78)
- Gargoyle (1:39:31)
- Genbull (1:38:30)

- Killerken (1:33:21)
- Gryph (1:25:36)
- Saramanda (1:21:85)
- Revizer (1:00:67)
TL;DR: Dragooon and Genbull put up good numbers, as I expected. Goreim might need some further looking into as it surprised me a lot, as did Balro in Crystal Up. Revizer was surprisingly awful. Wheels that are traditionally used for Attack didn't fare so well, with the exception of Balro (maybe that's why you always see it on MF).
Based on the movement patterns, I'd say the Chrome Wheels with the most even weight distribution are (in no particular order) Genbull, Dragooon, Goreim, Gryph, Zirago, and Killerken. These all spun smoothly with minimal aggression under most conditions.
