Nothing really competes with PS2 lineup except maybe SNES and PS1.
Next Gen Hardware Predictions
360
It really does have a killer lineup and if the trend continues as it is, by the end of this console generation I think the 360 will be the console to beat in terms of having a large, awesome library.

My problem with 360 is Microsoft aim all effort on one genre, shooters. And in term of good RPG, 360 is million miles away from PS2, PS, or SNES.

Microsoft isn't to blame for this. Blame devs.
Also: FFXIII, Fallout 3, Fable 2, a bunch of other carp i'm sure
OK they're not JRPGs which i like but none of the consoles have very good RPGs right now, if you want RPGs play PS2
Well only 1 game listed is only on 360. So the ones also on other platform bump up for others. And I don't care much for Western RPG that aren't Mass Effect (which on 360, but also PC).

Dude get out, the 360 has plenty of good, or at least decent RPGs, both western and eastern.
Western: Oblivion, Mass Effect, Fable II, Fallout 3, etc.
Eastern: Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Tales of Vesperia, Eternal Sonata, FFXI (I know this game is a whipping boy but it still counts lol), FFXIII (eventually), Phantasy Star Universe, Infinite Undiscovery, The Last Remnant, etc.
So yeah that's a pretty baseless thing to say. Granted a lot of these are multiplatform but still. Oh and while the 360's library certainly specializes in core genres like shooters and action games it still has plenty to offer in other categories. You guys are making it sound like its this console with a one genre library and that's really just not true.
at least the 360 has enjoyable games
unlike a certain other HD console

it bumps up for the others but not for the 360? what about 360's far better online and the fact that it doesn't use a 12 year old controller design
The more I read this the more I want an Xbox360.

Problem is, some of game you list exclusive to 360 here not actual good game.

I don't own PS3, but I like it controller. I don't find nothing wrong with it, before when I own PS and got PS2 same type of controller allow me to get quicker into game because you know button placement.
And since when do online matter in RPG that not MMORPG or White Knight Chronicle?
what about when you decide you want to play a game that isn't an RPG
also what great RPGs does the PS3 have
also what great RPGs does the PS3 have

Fact it on other platform counter each other. It come down to exclusive counts. While Microsoft have many exclusive on 360 now for Eastern RPG, they either not good, or will later be on other platform. Where as Nintendo have series like Fire Emblem, and Sony have games with Level 5 which not appear on other platform so it add plus one. I want good Eastern RPG that exclusive.

While I like shooter, it not only game I like. I like platformer, and cartoonish action adventure game along with RPG, and Sport titles. Other then Banjo Kazooie 360 don't have good platformer, heck I can't name another platformer on 360 that is not Banjo Kazooie.
prince of persia
Mirror's Edge.
First person, but its still basically a platforming game.

You mention two multi console games. I should have said first party. And yes, I know, I changing the rules after the fact.
Who cares if they are exclusive titles? Multiplatform games still count in a consoles library.
I'm getting really sick and tired of everyone praising exclusive games like they are the only things that matter on a system. I've got news for you all, exclusives, particularly those of the third party variety, are going the way of the dinosaur. There's less emphasis on them, which I couldn't be happier about. The whole exclusive games war is ridiculous and stupid and I'm so sick of it.

i want a real answer please
the future is multi-console
Because, when there choice in market there has to be something that puts one above the other. Since multi-plat games are that, multi-plat, they're on many platform meaning they're same as other. Exclusives are the things that put one above the other. You don't buy 360 just because Mirror's Edge is on it, you don't buy PS3 because Call Of Duty is on it. Unless you Casual gamer, where you buy Wii because horrible ports are on it ( I not casual, i just cheap). You buy 360 because of Halo, Forza, Fable, etc or buy as early adopter to new gen. You buy PS3 because of LBP, MGS4, Ratchet and Clank, etc or as Blu-Ray player. You buy Wii because Mario, Zelda, Smash Bros, etc or for casuals Wii Fit, Wii Sports, and Rayman.
That was exactly what I was just thinking. Except I couldnt be bothered to rant so early in the morning. :applauds: (aimed at Roan btw, though I do see where NoMoreHereos is coming from.....)
so which do you prefer and why
