Times:
* Meet up at 59th St. Columbus Circle at 1:30pm underneath the giant globe.
* Head to Heckscher Playground to set up along with practice and free play at 2:00pm. Registration will take place at this time.
* Official tournament starts at 3:00pm

Like all official WBO tournaments, there will be a $5 entrance fee if you don't have a Blader's Passport. You can buy one at the tournament for $10. As you know it allows you to enter any tournament for the next year without paying the fee, as well as giving you the chance to participate in whatever contests or giveaways the WBO may offer.

So far the judges are ikmv, Armored00taku, and myself. As more people sign up I will seek out more judges. The format of the tournament depends on the number of entrants we get. I have stadiums as well as ikmv, but feel free to bring your own Takara Tomy stadiums. It's better to have more so that the free play runs smoothly. Also, I will pretty closely follow the time schedule set up, so please try to make it on time, if not early.

Additional Comments: I remind you all to be very mindful of your belongings. Let's have fun. The weather should be good around this time. Also, I don't care what any of you say. I like the name I chose! Also, somebody should totally make some awesome graphic for this event. ALSO, DO NOT SPAM THIS THREAD!

Do you have any other blades other than Aquario yet?
Ha ha, no. lol I need to get a Super Deck Set for an 85 track and RF Bottom and a Hell Kerbecs for the Hell Wheel. After that, I'm SOMEWHAT set. So until i get those two, I won't be participating in any tournaments. Just watching (and taking pictures). Sky Prince really piqued my interest, and i got a chance to test out my Hell Aquario combo, but we had no stadiums. lol
From my current experience, your best choice is to buy a BB Pegasis DX set, Hell Kerbecs, and Basalt.

It will run you about $100 if you shop right online and the DX set comes with a launcher, grip, stadium, 85, XF, RF, and 105 tracks. From there, you'll be able to build some top tier combos. You can always resell the stadium for about $50 if you need the money.
I'll consider. But I'm short on funds atm, so I'd like to wait a bit longer. Until then, I want this tournament to be my "opening" so I can watch and learn, especially since I'm transitioning from the Plastic-era. Also, I already have a grip (could use that BeyLauncher, though).

If I can learn from all of you guys and figure out my battle plan from there, then this tournament will be beyond beneficial for me.

Also, I'm more of an attack type. lol
Then just buy Storm Pegasis and LLD. :? $20 gives you one top tier attacker. You can get far with that.

see kaji? what did i tell u. lol. so much cheaper. XD.... then again, all the other combos i gave u beat it out. lol. XD so it really depends on how competitive u plan on going
If you don't have money, that's the best option.
yeah, if u don't have the money, the cheap way is to go. it depends on what he wants really....
Don't remind me about cheap. Remember when we went to the TRU in Times Square? Biggest...mistake...ever, but the only available option.

I know what I want, though, but I'll hold off a little more, first. I have a priority list to work with. Also, anyone wanna grab a Jamba Juice before the tournament?
You know, I have a long drive into NYC. I'm more than willing to go to a Walmart or Target or something to pick up blades for you...

Ah, I'm down for a Jamba Juice. I'll probably get there extra early.

To anyone considering the Nerf War afterward, you're all welcome to lock your Beyblades in my car while we play so you don't lose them. Since Sunday = free parking, I'm obviously driving. Wink

Good luck finding a parking spot though. The only combos I know that Kaji could use with hasbro blades are Lightning L Drago 100RF, Earth Eagle 145WD, Earth Virgo GB145WD. Also you could get the Limited Edition Beyblade DS game for the MF Bakushin Susanow 90WF so you could upgrade that LLD even further.
lol. 90 will only upgrade LLD by like 25%. if he wanted to, he'd get the perseus reshuffle if had the money to buy the DS game... but i guess that's just my opinion. lol

But where's he going to get the Reshuffle set? Exactly. Well, it's just a theory. Someone is surely going lend a beyblade, I'll lend you a Meteo L Drago if you want, I don't use it much.
lol, isnt the bakushin susanoo in america 100F,i may be wrong, but thats what i remember
actually its 105F,stupid Hasbro
...I might go but i wont be in the tournament, just to practice, learn and (maybe) buy new beyblades.[/b]

I doubt anyone will sell beyblade because cops 'll get suspicious. Plus they don't allow anyone to sell blades unless your inside a store that will get the beyblades from a donater. So either or.
I can almost always find parking in midtown Manhattan. I'm extremely lucky.

Let's just hope your lucky this Sunday, right now, my plan is to survive the rest of the week, excluding Wednesday, and test out these new combinations see if they're any good, because alot of people are likely to steel that Basalt BD145 combine, I KNOW they're gonna use it, but I already have something to counter it. Anyways, hope it doesn't rain. Meet 'cha all there!!!
I'm showing up like, an hour early because Saks is around the corner lol. I'll find parking. Wink

well if he's saving up for a hell kerbecs, basalt, and super deck set, obviously he has a way of ordering online.... last time i checked, only way to buy them is from a friend or buying it online yourself
Since I mentioned earlier if anyone wanted to stop by Jamba Juice before or after the tournament, I'd like to list a few places to eat, again, so you guys know where to grab a snack right off the bat. (hyuk hyuk hyuk)

Fast Food:
McDonald's - W 56th and 8th Ave (from Columbus Circle, go straight down the opposite direction of Central Park)
Wendy's - Between W 55th and W 56th on 8th Ave (same directions, same block)
Subway - W54th, between 8th and Broadway (the's also one on W58th, just next to Time Warner Center, if it's still there)

Then there's Whole Foods in the Time Warner Center, and Jamba Juice in said place.

If people want a Burger King, the closest one is either down by W 42nd, between 8th and 9th Aves, or on W 50th and 6th/Ave. of the Americas.

If people want Japanese, I can recommend a nearby place called East, located on W 55th between 8th and Broadway. Another one I recommend is Cafe Zaiya, one located in Kinokuniya bookstores in front of Bryant Park (6th Ave, between W 41 and 40th), or the one E 41st between 5th and Madison.

There is also a Dunkin' Donuts on 8th Ave and a Starbucks on W 58th (next to Time Warner Center) or W 59th (around Central Park and Broadway before Columbus Circle) if anyone wants coffee or a snack (there's also McDonalds, too).

*copy and pasted from an older post in this thread*

Also, according to my sister, 8th Ave is more fast food, and 9th Ave is more restaurants. So take your pick.
Ill be in manahtten around 10. Im down for grabbing somr lunch or something at like 11 or 12

My bus drops me off at 47th and broadway so i'll prob be around tere.
Is there an age requirement for this?
