Registration - 11:30AM
Start Time - 12PM

The road to the Grand Battle begins! New York Bladers, this is your chance to earn paid travel expenses (if necessary) to ANIME NORTH, along with an AN Pass to play in the WBO North American Championship, GRAND BATTLE TOURNAMENT 2!!

Mandatory $5 Entry Fee = More Qualifiers + Extra Credits + Free Face Booster!
To help subsidize the high cost of flying/busing the qualifiers to Toronto, a mandatory $5 entry fee will be imposed on all Qualifier Series tournaments, regardless of whether or not a participant has a Blader Passport (if you wish to purchase a Blader Passport, the total cost would be $15 at a Qualifier Series tournament), and there will be no prize reimbursement apart from the travel expenses for the winner. We hope that everyone can understand this! The more funds we have, the bigger this championship will be! However, to show our appreciation for your cooperation and support in helping to fund the championship, all participants in Qualifier Series tournaments will receive the following:

What can I win?
The winner of this qualifier will receive the following:
  • Paid travel expenses, by plane/bus/public transit (if necessary, and whichever is cheapest) to ANIME NORTH 2014 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada for GRAND BATTLE TOURNAMENT 2.
  • An ANIME NORTH 2014 Pass
Qualifiers will be responsible for finding/paying for accommodations in Toronto, but we will work closely with each of you to make sure that you find somewhere suitable. Additionally, the winner will be required to consult with the Committee before booking their flight/bus, and then after approval, provide a booking confirmation to the WBO Committee before they can provide reimbursement for the traveling costs. We can also reimburse gas costs, but in that case, reimbursement will only take place in person after we have received gas receipts.

I don't really host anymore because I'm focused on other things in life, but this event is big so I'm helping out. But, there are other hosts in NYC now. There was a tourney last week I think.

Hey guys, I have a few quick questions about the directions there.

My family and I are booking a hotel near Central Park, and so in the OP it says "Heckscher Playground", but like where in Heckscher Playground specifically? On Google Maps it shows a whole bunch of places related to Heckscher Playground such as Heckscher Ballfields, Central Park Carousel, and others, but where exactly is it?

Sorry for all the questions, this is my first time visiting Central Park so I'll need a bit of help haha.

I'm extremely excited for this trip! Hopefully I'll be able to win hah!

Well, all those places are near a literal playground. I can meet you guys in front of the park entrance on 59th Street if you like. You can see the playground from the ballfields.

Yep, it's near the south of Central Park I'll be waving a BB-10 in the air (literally) so you'll know where we are.

Wow this brings back memories... The first NYC qualifier for Beyblade Rev was my first tournament ever! I'll see if I can go.

If anything we could battle on the ice Smile I hope that the weather gets warmer soon so that we don't have to suffer from another polar vortex.

Here, right up from New York, we have quite warm temperatures coming tomorrow and probably this weekend, so I hope there is not a 'line' separating good weather from bad weather just in the short distance separating us, hah.

Ultimate Orion messaged me saying he isn't coming. He was to bring two BB-10s. As of right now, I think only Ethan H is bringing his. Could and of you who is confirmed please also bring a BB-10 if you have one? It would make this tourney run way more smoothly.
