You think so? I don't think I've ever heard of that being done for a DS game that hasn't been released outside of Japan.
Metal Fight Beyblade DS
After seeing the new trailer and stuff, this game prolly won't be as bad as the other beyblade games and might actually be worth getting or at least trying.
But IMO a beyblade game would def. be better on the Wii instead of on the DS. You'd be able to get so much more involved in the actual game and they could make a launcher as an add-on to the Wii remote XD

I have an idea for a good Beyblade game...don't make one. You can't emulate Beyblade's awesomeness unless you wanna see two renders hitting each other in a simulation
Evan, I agree that this game probably won't be very good but it's at least useful as a promotional tool. Also Aqua, the Wii would definitely be better suited to a Beyblade game but I doubt they wanted to spend that much cash on development.
I have little to no hope for the game itself, but as brad said, its playing it's role as a promotional tool. And it comes with a pretty decent looking blade I'd consider importing for.
Besides, any popularity Beyblade can get right now, it should take IMO, I'd like to see in 2010 the same amount of people playing as when I first started.

The blade that it comes with (Quetzalcoatl 90WF) isn't only decent looking but it's the best MFB blade out right now....

I would love to see beyblade get as popular or even more popular than when it first started but IMO the actual MFB's might not look as attractive or interesting to kids, compared to how the older plastic and HMS blades looked.

I don't Think Quetz is the best Blade out tbh (I not to sure because I haven't got one) but I'm sure Libra or Virgo are better. But it is a awsome looking blade.
& like the others said it's a great way of promoting the MFB Series

Sure the HMS and older plastic ones might look better, but I think the MFB's have their fair share of pretty attractive looking blades, I for one am extremely fond of how the Pegasis 'blade looks and just think that not all the Beyblades have even been released yet, so there might be some even cooler looking Beyblades coming out later in the year.
MFB look leagues better than the original plastics (which were boring as hell looking) and most HMS. So sick of this irrational bias towards plastics.
Well I don't think that the MFB's would look as attractive or interesting or eye-catching to kids (6-10 year olds). Some of them are kind of boring-looking for kids who are the main target for beyblades like Bull for example.
BTW I'm not hating on MFB, I'm just trying to be reasonable because I actually think that MFB's look cooler than plastics especially since they're all metal.
About the DS game, I don't think that the Wi-Fi would work outside of Japan or that area.... for now.

Agreed. MFB look far better than plastics or HMS. The Wheels designs just have so much more detail put into them and the theme they are going for is awesome.
I may just buy this, if not only to get Quetzalcoatl.
I beg to differ about looks. The original plastics were pretty fugly when I look back on it. Frankly the fact that these are metal probably makes it more appealing to kids anyway. I don't think I was the only 12 year old back in the day who thought that if beyblades were made of metal they would be so much more awesome. Why do you think all those Sunfire disks and metal parts were floating around. Shiny Metal appeals to kids.

Thank you! there is not a single person who can say spin dragoon looks better.
But going back on topic I am actually curious to try this game out. If it is half decent then I might plonk the cash if only to get the actual blade itself.
In terms of colour schemes and design aesthetics the MFBs do look a lot better than any of the old plastic stuff.
They're much closer to the James Bond-executive toy look I was hoping for.
Actually, looking at them, I can't wait to see what Hasbro end up doing to the paint apps if they handle them in the west. Should be a good laugh.
Honestly, I could see myself getting this on the 360 if it came out, if only to trash talk on the mic.

This is a short video of the Metal Fight Beyblade DS panel at the World Hobby Fair :

I also have many other pictures.
Anyway, you can see how the beyblades move around the stadium in the game.

But, the official website offers a new wallpaper and has a new section.
Ah sorry about that, I checked the topic and it wan't there so. Ah cool I'l check it out
I wouldn't be too surprised if one day down the road Hudson releases a Beyblade game from Wii. Hudson seems to love Nintendo, and since they're the ones selling consoles by the train load.

If you make the right combos that represent each type of beyblade, you can watch some videos of special attacks.
Basically, the combinations are the following :
Attack - Pegasis 90WF
Balance - Bull D125B
Defense - Leone WD145D
Stamina - Sagittario DF145BS
Faces have to match the Wheel too, I believe.
There is also a new Ryuuga wallpaper.

this game looks terrible
that looks a bit like a beyblade
Not quite what I was hoping for, but at least it looks better than the old GBA ones...
Quetz is nice, but I doubt it will be nice enough to solely justify spending the large import price for it and a sub-par game. Might as well use the money on some of the other spectacular releases.
