As many members have already noticed this, Takra Tomy made the "S" series of performance tips "Defense Type"... well I have a theory behind this :
"A shorter radius of a performance tip helps keep the Beyblade from moving as much (from the sway of the stadium"), and being able to take less hits/less contact helps the Beyblade outspin whatever/whichever type of opponent..."
The swaying has become most of the contact in the battle, so combinations focus eihter on manipulating/surviving the swaying.
Contact isn't the same every match...
With so many variables, I decided to test the new performance tip JSB along with the un-tested 160 track... (MF-H Duo Aquario 160 JSB)
As an added note, (the 160 track with the JSB bottom gives a perfect 90 degree angle tilt)
With a small diameter and a good enough radius to OS (thanks to the B part of JSB), I was able to always "counter-act" event the highest tilts in the Zero-G stadium and was able to survive all the conatact made.
Due to the little spikes/bumps on JSB, the Beyblade using this as its performance tip will have increased friction upon the impact with the Zero G stadium.
JSB will have all the same effects as JB but will have more defense and stamina because of the Sharp Performance Tip that is combined with it.

I did do these tests on June 24th, 2012 for about 2 hours. It took me quite a while to compile all these tests and I recorded them in my "Beyblading" Oberservations/Notes.
