Hey everyone, and welcome to my first Limited Format testing thread! You can already tell by the title, this combo is MF-F Capricorne 90LRF. I've been working on this thread for roughly around three days, and I feel like I put lots of effort into this. So much effort, that I feel like this can be posted to the public, hah. Anyways, In this thread I'll be talking about the concept, the launch, the part conditions, the part choice, and of course, tests. Anyways, lets begin!
The Equipment Used:
BB-10 Attack Type Stadium
Hasbro Launcher Grip
Gray String Launcher
Black Grip Rubber
Metal Assist
The Part Conditions:
MF-F: Straight from the BB-96, which I received on March 22nd, 2014. It works perfectly, with absolutely no issues.
Capricorne: It's brand new. I opened it on March 22nd, 2014, just like the BB-96. It works amazing, and at the same time, there are barely any scratches, having it be brand new. But that wouldn't effect too much though.
90: There's not too much to say about this one, hah. I got this a couple months back with a BB-121, which includes Wing Pegasis 90WF. It didn't really have too much use for me up until now. With that being said, I guess you could say it acts like one, straight from the box.
LRF: This is a slightly worn down LRF, that came with the BB-121. It acts aggressive, but yet slows down fast, not having a proper launch. Just like I said with 90, It didn't have too much use for me up until now, but I definitely wouldn't call it mint though.
The Part Choice:
MF-F: Metal face customs like MF-H, MF-M, and MF-L all contain too much weight, which can cause less attack, and takes a huge impact on the balance, which leads to balance issues. I also thought I'd add a MF-L as a gimmick, rather than using a regular face, hah.
Capricorne: For it's decent attack, and at the same time, very impressive. I think it could also be a substitute for Quetzalcotal, but possibly not as good though.
90: For it being low, which helps attack, depending on the combo. But that's only my experience. It would also get a good uppercut on higher attack combos. For example : MF-H Pegasis CH120RF.
LRF: For it's great and aggressive attack. It contributes to attack, and also helps get a knock out on heavier combos. For example : MF-H Libra GB145RSF.
The Concept:
To knock out heavier beyblades, or some with a great amount of balance and height. MF-H Burn_230MB is something with most of those attributes.
The Launch:
Tests are preformed in both Sliding shoot, and regular, depending on the battle. I'll list the specific battles, if requested.
The Testings:
Against MF-H Pegasis CH120RF
(Capricorne launched first every battle)
Capricorne : (3 OS'S, 8 KO'S)
Pegasis : (3 OS'S, 6 KO'S)
Capricorne win %: 55%
Against MF-H Pegasis CH120RF
(Pegasis launched first every battle)
Capricorne : (5 OS'S, 11 KO'S)
Pegasis : (2 OS, 2 KO'S)
Capricorne win %: 80%
I'm not too surprised with the results, especially the first testing. The losses were probably because of Capricorne's tip becoming worn out in battle, Pegasis just getting that late knockout, or the wall saves took balance off of Capricorne. I'm very impressed with the second battles results, even having Pegasis being launched first. I'm surprised that Capricorne, a very light Beyblade was able to KO with more weight, and more smash. In this case, that would be Pegasis.
Against MF-H Libra H145W2D
(Capricorne launched first every battle)
Capricorne : (5 OS'S, 5 KO'S)
Libra : (7 OS'S, 3 KO'S)
Capricorne win % : 50%
Against MF-H Libra H145W2D
(Libra launched first every battle)
Capricorne : (10 KO'S, 4 OS'S)
Libra : (3 OS'S, 3 KO'S)
Capricorne win % : 70%
I'm pretty happy with the overall results, even if 10-10's an absolutely terrible score, hah. XD
For the first battle, the was a mixture between both KO's and OS's. That's because Capricorne could of either got a straight up KO, or there were a ton of smashes which took lots of balance off of Libra. For the second battle, there was a mixture between both KO's and OS'S. Most of the time, there were late KO's, out spins when Capricorne took Lots of spin off Libra by smash, or you know, no wins at all.
Against Scythe Cancer W145WD
(Capricorne launched first every battle)
Scythe : (0 O'S, 4 KO'S)
Capricorne : (6 OS'S, 0 KO'S)
Capricorne win % : 40%
Against Scythe Cancer W145WD
(Scythe launched first every battle)
Scythe : (3 OS'S, 1 KO)
Capricorne : (5 OS'S, 1 KO)
Capricorne win % : 60%
I'm not too impressed with the results, but I didn't expect too much better, especially having Capricorne being less weighted than other attackers, like Pegasis_CH120RF. For the first battle, sliding shoot would definitely be the best, and yet most trustworthy launch method for this type of battle. So I did so, just because from my experience, it's somewhat to KO Scythe. Even with that, the results still were still pretty horrid to look at. As for the second battle, it was a lot easier to KO, because of Scythe being launched first. The results still weren't impressive. Capricorne might of not been the best choice for this type of battle.
Comparison Tests:
For these tests, I'll be using MF-H Pegasis CH120RF, as a substitute for MF-F Capricorne 90LRF.

(Pegasis launched first every battle)
Scythe : (4 OS'S, O KO'S)

Against Scythe Cancer W145WD
