Alright guy, you came into a a thread labeled "Kamen Rider" where people are talking how much like it. Then you come diving in calling it retarded.

You wouldn't post in Beyblade General saying Beyblade is retarded, would you?

Because It's the worst series. If people in Japan don't even like it, you know It's bad.

Decade is really hard to get attached to if you haven't seen earlier Rider shows. Most people don't even know what Shocker is (Although this is key, EVERY Rider fan should know who they are)

Up to date on OOO now. Like it so far, his Rider Kick is super lame though, and I don't understand the current infatuation with dropkicks.

I also really don't like how since Ryuki, you have to do something special to "activate" your hissatsu attack. Most shows were able to pulled it off well, but Kiva's "Wake up, Kiva!" was even lamer than OOO's kick, although I liked how his does a backflip instead of a front flip like most Rider Kicks.

I liked it more how Ichigo-Agito, It was more like "Alright mothercarper, I'm sick of toying around, I'ma Rider Kick you" and they just did it, no bells and whistles, just a good ol' fashioned flying side kick to the chest that made the bad guy explode.
what is the highest rating kamen rider show?
I'm never really able to get into those Kamen Rider shows. True, they all have good stuff about them, but there always seems to be a certain element that makes me really dislike the show. It can either be the bad guys, the opening, the protagonist, the vague way they get their powers, but it really kinda annoys me away from the series.

OOO is probably the best I've seen, so far.
oooo they have a kamen rider thread yipee
has anyone seen the latest episode of OOO ,.....
Why I have NOT posted in this thread is beyond me. To find Kamen Rider fans in a Beyblade forum...my heart leaps with joy and probably stopped dead! XD

Compare Kamen Rider to Super Sentai...actually, compare Super Sentai to Power Rangers. Those two are somewhat the same, as Power Rangers uses scenes from Super Sentai (just like how Dragon Knight used scenes from Ryuki), but Super Sentai is more adult-oriented. People die. In Power Rangers...i don't think anyone died...that's just me though.

Now, from Super Sentai to Kamen Rider, there are two varying differences: Super Sentai is a team. Kamen Rider is a solitary hero bound by ideals or certain situations, like how Eiji becomes OOOs to fight the Greed and save Hina-chan's brother from being possessed by Ankh, who fights with OOOs to get his Core Medals back and become himself (until episode 29, which was pure sex!). There's also the aspect of suited heroes being more villainous than heroic.

In Super Sentai, most if not all the bad guys are monsters. In Kamen Rider, you have monsters or humans who can become Kamen Riders and fight against the main protagonist Kamen Rider (namely Kamen Rider Ryuki...which was also pure sex.).

IMO, I find Kuuga to be the best Kamen Rider in the Heisei Series. The fight scenes were MONDO intense and realistic compared to later on, though Seiji Takaiwa does a good job suit acting. Plus, Kuuga don't take carp from anyone, like a certain Honey Badger.
Gosh, I really need to get caught up on OOO. I fell behind about episode 20. Maybe I should stop rewatching W and get to OOO >.>
In related news, I now have a Decadriver to compliment my small KR collection. Also, GooooooooooooKAIGA!
so far..ooo is the best kamen rider for me..but i havent watch episode 29..
anyone know where to watch or download other than tokusatsu blogspot..

I think it's supposed to reference snake charmers. You know how they look like? The turban on the head and all?

wow..there other combos than tajador shauta gatakiriba saigozoh latarota too..
i remebered there is another dark purple combo(related to dinosaurs)..looks awsome..what it is called?
anyone can post true form of ankh?
The Dinosaur combo is "PuToTira", I think. Most of the names are romanized, which forms the name of the combo (Ra-i-o-n, To-ra, Chi-i-ta, RaToraTa). The Medals used are Ptera (Putera), Tricera (To-ri-ke-ra, though I don't know why it's not To-ra-i-se-ra), and Tyranno (Ti-ra-no), forming Pu-To-Tira. Unlike the past combos, this one's name is made of romanized syllables of English words (Go-ri-ra, Ra-i-on, Ko-n-do-ru).

Yes, I'm aware of that.
I just think it looks weird, hah.
Sorry. I didn't know "what's with the head..." was rhetorical.

Seriously, though....it's pretty ugly.
the head really looks ugly..
btw..there is another combo which use scorpion, crab and shrimp medal..it resembles sasword from kabuto series..but i dont know if it is real or not..

In languages like French, "tri" is pronounced like that, but not "kera" ... In any case, it must just be from another language than English all the time.
Saw that most post count was heading to 555. This post will be that 555th post, so I thought, why not do it here? (Kamen Rider fans will get the reference. =D)

It's the Dinosaurs in OOOs' Combos that throw me off the most, since I've never really watched any Japanese show or anime that uses Dinosaurs and stuff (and I don't watch Dinosaur King or whatever it is called). Hearing them pronounce it as "To-ri-ke-ra!" was a big throw-off to me.

Moving from PuToTira (or PuToTyra), Kamen Rider W Returns, Accel's movie, has recently been subbed. I have a lot of respect for Terui Ryuu than I had before. I'm even more excited for Eternal's movie, though. He was the reason I was so into A to Z/The Gaia Memories of Fate.
nicee..dinosour combo looks nice...just wonder why right arm of ankh is fighting the other ankh...cant really understand..just watched episode 29...
ooo is just awsome it defies pysics
GORRILAS CAN SHOOT THERE HANDS OFF
RHINO'S CONTROL GRAVITY
ELEPHANTS JUMP AND MAKE EARTHQUAKES and thats only saigozou lolz
nah i love ooo , BUT THAT BURAKAWANI COMBO LOOKS SO BAD
looks like india or persia ( or just the middle east) GROWED ONTO OZU ( no offence loz, just commenting on what ppl said on the OOO fourms on hensin ( thats a website) they were talking about this)
also there supposibly a koala, panda and kangaroo combo lolz
What was the theme for BuraKaWani? It's Cobra, something, and Alligator?
burakawani..dont know what its japanese word..
but it is cobra, turtle and alligator..
reptile combo..
Turtle? So it's "Ko-bu-ra", "Ka-me", and "Wa-ni". Well, since Turtle and Alligator are in the combo, there goes my "desert-themed" theory.

Characters have died in Power Rangers (in a recent Samurai episode one Ranger actually inadvertently leads to a citizen dying - though it is not an issue brought up), and Super Sentai isn't adult-oriented at all. Some toys may be, but the franchise is aimed at the same age bracket of kids as it is here. The show airs at 7:30AM in Japan. It's just that what the adults view as appropriate for kids is different from Japan to the US.
I always thought it to be. I mean, ever watched Shinkenger? Those minion guys (not baddies of the day), they REALLY take their (fake) swords and SLASH innocent civilians with them. From what I remember in Power Rangers, I've NEVER seen that kind of action on non-main characters. Even SUPPORTING characters don't get that treatment. Even Gokaiger, the minions slash and SHOOT civilians.

Though, my memory with Power Rangers IS rusty. After Dino Thunder, I stopped. I can't think of any character who died, except the Pink Lost Galaxy Ranger who ended up coming back at the end of the series. But I don't know any PR characters, main or supporting, who's ever died in the series. I call Super Sentai "adult" oriented is because the kids in Japan get more mature stuff than the kids in America, and if kids shoes in America get someone dying, I'm sure a LOT of parents will be MONDO P'ed off.

I feel that Power Rangers is pretty dumbed down compared to Super Sentai to cater to the children of America, while keeping its overall theme. As for Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, I find it more "extreme" than Power Rangers, since the theme of killing that Ryuki had was removed, but people are STILL kidnapped for slavery purposes (if I remember correctly).

.........I am curious about that thing you mentioned on Samurai, though. That DOES pique my interest.
