I finally got around to watching the Duke & Knuckle Gaiden the other day, which was ... actually pretty outstanding!? So much better than the Zangetsu & Baron Gaiden and felt like a very fitting end for the series.
it is better than zangetsu and baron.

I couldn't get past Episode 3.
It's bad..

It's not.
I picked it up, finished it. Need to watch the Gaim Gaidens, though.
Fantastic, definitely a fantastic series. No issues with it.

Also, if you hadn't seen the avatar, I finished Kuuga.
Kuuga ended up being my favorite show, although radically different from other Heisei era shows. Very subjective. You'll either love it or hate it. Joe Odagiri is my man-crush.
I remember watching KR: Dragon Knight years ago. The Canadian/American one. It wasn't that good.

Yeah, Kamen Rider's adaptations aren't very good.
Amazons is coming stateside, subbed, though.
Like... where do I even start if I wanted to get into the series.

Honestly, the best place to start is Double. It's a good series with a theme that isn't too "themey", (ie, magic, fruit, cars, ghosts, etc.) being two people in one Rider.
It's got a good plot, pretty good movies, and I haven't heard of one person that DIDN'T enjoy it.
I'd sit here and recommend Gaim, but me and my friends agree that Gaim sets the bar too high for you to watch any other series. It may or may not. But not worth the risk. I'd recommend Gaim after you have a few under your "belt", heh.

Here's a link.

Gaim is my favourite, too. The Zangetsu/Baron Gaiden is pretty bad, but the Duke/Knuckle Gaiden is really awesome and a great way to end the series (although not as great as episode 46!).

I'm rewatching Kabuto right now. Show is off the wall and gets really soap opera-y at times but it's super fun and manages to sell some of its dramatic moments really well.
Right now I'm watching Decade, since it's short. I mean, it's.. okay? I like Tsukasa but it's not a good story, afaik. Episode 9.
Kabuto is something I was to watch eventually.
But Kuuga was great imo, just not the typical rider show. It's focused on the side characters, and the world, mostly. But it's pretty suspenseful sometimes, and I really enjoyed the ending.
I just finished rewatching Kabuto with my girlfriend. Actually much better than I remembered it being, feel super satisfied after having finished it. Great sci-fi series with plenty of tension, drama and laughs. And the ending is pretty good, which is more than can be said for most KR series.
Has anyone watched episodes of new series, Kamen Rider Ex-Aid? It so amazing and fun to watch. I'm on the hype train for this one. Tongue_out

Honestly I am surprised by how good the acting was and I wish the girl (Pipo p...) had not turned into that show host, because she was better as an agent. Anyway, the actors seem to be well directed, the henshins (second level and up hah) are awesome, so I look forward to how the story develops. The trailer really did not interest me before since the hospital setting seemed boring to me.
Haha, this reminds me of a show called Ryukendo! Heard of it?
Just an update: Kamen Rider Ex-Aid is only twenty episodes in and the story and directing is so good that it would be awesome already if it ended basically right now. The show litterally addresses some of the plothole questions you might have rather early after you start wondering about them, and the main villain, the president of Genm Corp, has had his role really improved lately, his motives were not senseless before but now they are solid, plus he plans to keep using Kamen Rider Genm Zombie Level X. This series is awesome so far and I really wonder what else they will bring for thirty more episodes since the story is well packed already and could survive on its own if it ended now.
Really glad to hear that it's good, the few bits that I've seen online really made me wonder where the hell they wanted to go with it. It seems like most Kamen Rider series have a weird start (from what I've seen at least, in Gaim and OOO).
Kamen Rider Kiva's start was the weirdest one for me, so far hah.

For Ex-Aid, sure we can still wonder even in episode twenty why the president of a gaming corporation but also health centre or whatever wants to make the biggest/best game ever, but at least his motives are fleshed out hah. I am also glad that Brave and Sniper are each getting their spinoff series, because the latter's background story is not that thorough and there is one thing about Hiro/Brave that is still unexplained: why his character is like that when his father, also a doctor, is very goofy. Is it his mother? Surely he cannot be that serious just from telling himself that he will be the best surgeon...
Well just as I was thinking that we knew too little about Hiro, now we know what happened to him and it is probably elaborated on in the side series of episodes. I seriously cannot believe how badass Ex-Aid is each week man.
I am absolutely in love with Taiga's character depth.

Putting on a very convincing Jerk persona before revealing that it's his way of repenting for a failure that wasn't his fault. It makes you just want a happy ending for him so badly.

Almost all of the characters in Ex-Aid have a lot of depth, and I just want to believe that it is not just due to the doctor theme hahah.
If anyone still cares, Ex-Aid is coming to an end in basically slightly more than a week, and the original soundtrack was just released this Tuesday and people have already made AMVs/MADs with the insert songs. I have only checked Zombie-related videos, and these two are great. The first one has hints to spoilers but it should not be too bad if you are not actually extremely watching the series and could catch onto the details yet, and that video just almost made me emotional hah. Man, what a great season with awesome plot and characters.

(The second video actually holds somewhat more spoilers than the first, in theory.)
soo... how is everyone liking Build?

I think the pacing is a little... hecktic. But if nothing else- the effects and forms are still asthetically pleasing to me

cross-z magma is burning with awesome.

I passionately find Kamen Rider Build boring. The whole show is about the threat of what the Pandora Box can do, and yet it is always in someone's possession and they never do anything with it. Sure, maybe they were waiting to have all the bottles together, but then again why... Then you have the obvious characters who were dead stock from the moment they were introduced, and bland characters. They take themselves so seriously that they are stupidly bad when they erratically try to make funny scenes, and the latter always drop in the worst moments ever. It is really as if the show was "tone deaf", as my brother says.

And I am a huge fan of dragons, yet none of these Cross-Z Kamen Riders make me want to cosplay them at all. You just know there is something wrong with that, because meanwhile I want to do the impossible and cosplay Vritramon and Megidramon, which are not really humanoid hahah.

Oh, and biggest flaw: every "plot twist" is sooooo obvious. You see it coming from miles away, and yet the show plays fool and tries to keep us going for several episodes before finally confirming what we all knew.
