Yeah...I'll have to admit, I really cried this episode. It was like Episode 48 of Kamen Rider W all over again...

Dunno if this makes sense.
Well... That was a sucky last episode...
Very rushed, very cliché, very stupid. Yes, let's defeat the big bad with the freakin' power of love and friendship. Ma-Ti would be proud.
Liked the Wizard cameo, though. Can't wait to see if that show can end a series a bit better...

Yeah, I know I gave Fourze a chance and all, but 47 was the only episode I truly liked. The ending...I dunno. It just...it felt underwhelming.
Underwhelming is being nice.
Unlike most people (Apparently) I actually liked Fourze. It was cheesy, yes, but there's nothing wrong with that as long as it's still entertaining. The Zodiarts were pretty cool (They got worst over time, but still) and the fighting was awesome, even if it's not something very special when dealing with Japan.
But those last few episodes were freakin' god awful... Kengo's the Star Child or something? Gamou's defeated by the power of love? What the heck, did the writer just give up, or something?
I still like Fourze, but the end was just... pretty bad

No posts about Wizard? The japanese community is going wild about it.
Personally, I haven't watched Wizard yet. Haven't had the time to.
I have very limited interest in the topic, but I must say, the title character actually looks pretty cool in this, unlike Fourze, which is nice. Maybe I'll actually pay attention this time round, heh.
So, Wizard started (All the way to episode 2, anyway) and well...
It's okay. Much like I felt about Fourze when it started, I just think it's decent. Haruto is a very nice change from the usual unnatural good guy main protag. Not to say that Gentarou or Eiji weren't good protagonists, especially in Eiji's case, but there's something much more realistic about Haruto: He's kinda sorta a jerk. Well, not a jerk per se, but he... He's got a big ego, I'd say XD He compliments himself, knows he's good looking and would apparently hit on any cute girl he sees, even a cop while he's in jail. It's a fresh change, I think. I mean, let's be realistic, here: People won't all be goodie-goods that always act nice with everybody on Earth like Gentarou was and, while Haruto isn't any sort of a coward or an assh*le, he's not exactly looking to save everyone, just defeat the Phantoms.
Which actually brings us to the villains, the Phantoms. As it is common with Kamen Rider, we learn very little about them, who they are, what they want (Other than to create more Phantoms for the sake of whatever) how they were created themselves and what's their relation to each other. That's always a problem, if you ask me. Shows should always establish the basics in the first episode... But Kamen Rider rarely does that, so I guess I should have seen it coming...
The fight scenes and powers are pretty awesome, so far, except for a lot of the computer generated beings like the dragons and stuff. They tend to look really awkward and not realistic at all, but hey. Budget 'n all.
So yeah, nice enough stuff. I'm sure it'll get better as the show goes on, too.

So...can anyone explain what the fruit part of Kamen Rider Gaim is? Like...I really don't understand the whole thing about "Strawberry Arms", "Kiwi Arms", "Watermelon Arms", etc. Like, I know Arms doesn't literally mean "arms", but I don't...know...what the fruit is supposed to do or mean.
Many people are allergic to kiwi.
EDIT : Hahah, this is really ridiculous :

Yeah, I saw that last night after I made the post, and I...I don't get it. Okay, so it looks like Gaim gets different armaments based on what Fruit Arms he equips. But...it looks...ugh, it looks really ridiculous.
Except for Watermelon Arms. That actually looks kinda cool.

Seriously, they said 4 Riders. Where does that brown one come from? Is it a generic foot-soldier type of Rider?

So three episodes in, and I really like the series. I've read a couple of interviews about the series, especially the ones with notorious anime writer, Gen "The Butcher" Urobuchi, and I am excited with the direction they are taking this series.
It's going back to its Heisei Roots, returning to the multiple Rider concept, and bringing back the whole Rider vs Rider thing from way back when. I love how this series uses fruits as a way to differentiate from different types of soldiers of the 1400s-1600s.

so far...i really dislike the helmet of gaim...inda dissappointed...the concept, at first..i was thinking like...lame...but after watching it..its ok though..
the only things that i regret is gaim's helmet..compared to the other riders..the others looks so cool.. but gaim..sigh..

What I dislike the most about the costume is the mattress-like blue all over him ...
Yeah, that mattress design on all the Gaim Riders without their fruit armor is weird...
Also, Gaim's helmet is a reference to a Sengoku warlord, Date Masamune, who bore a crescent moon kabuto helmet.

So I've been hearing a lot of good things about Kamen Rider, and I decided to start watching it. People told me Den-O was a good place to start, and I'm really liking it so far, but what should I watch after I finish Den-O?
Ryuki, 555, and W.
If you wanna go classic Heisei, Kuuga and Agito.

I'm with everyone here Gaim literally took me by surprise also the theme song is catchy like really catchy. In a recent episode it got dark like real dark...and wow...I was used to seeing den-o and fourze with a bit of W and OOOs in the mix but never would I have thought it go that route. This just goes to show that japanese kid shows are a HECK of a higher quality than say power rangers (Still love it though....) Also I hope to get my hands on all the gaim stuff especially that cherry lock seed...love cherries well not the fruit itself just everything BUT the fruit...i know weird...

Looks like somebody's been playing a little too much Fruit Ninja when designing the new Riders...

I think they are pretty creative with the fruit theme.
Better than rocket head rider that only uses at most 6 out of 40 armaments.
