Based on my recent limited studies, v1 is slightly outclassed by v2, but v2 is even more out classed by v3. Basisically a bigger jump. Size as well. Size, weight, and height all have their factors.
I don't think anyone should ignore the potential usefulness of tips and forge discs from v1 and v2 however. Just as I don't think you should only stick to one stadium and never expect to play in another type (if talking tournies).

Yeah some people still use Accel from V1. V2, I guess some people use Variable. Anyways, I think all Vs are outclassed.
Out of all the Valkyries, I definitely think Basic Layer Valkyrie is the best out of them all. It has that sheer attack power that none of the other ones had, except it soon became obsolete due to the weight creep and teeth problem. V2 still had good attack power but it has an easier time KOing rather than bursting. gV is just trash at attack IMO, the bound layer only cushions the attack and when the Strike Chip is put in the recoil makes it destroy itself.

V3/gV is definitely not stronger in terms of attack. The layer is terrible for an attack combo, it just doesn't deliver enough power. But I do agree that it looks better
