Welcome to Into the Bear Cave #3
We are thrilled to have you join us for an exciting day of high-speed battles, "launch tech", and awesome community fun! Whether you're a seasoned blader or just starting your journey, today is all about good vibes, great games, and celebrating the thrill of Beyblade!
Todays event will take place on Sunday June 15th at 1PM. Sign ups will begin at 1230 so be prompt and punctual to secure your spot! We need to keep a tight schedule to ensure the event goes smoothly and everyone continues to have a good time.
This tournament will be a 3 on 3 event so make sure to bring at least 3 Beyblades from X series with no repeating parts. For finals you will need to be able to make at least 5 combos with no repeating parts so continue reading for more info. If you are unsure if you have the correct parts, our judges are all quite knowledgeable and will gladly assist you with any questions. If you dont have enough parts don't hesitate to come in, because there are always sealed Beyblades and individual parts for sale. You can easily put together an entire Worlds ready deck at the event!!
Top Cut we will play with a format I've been desperately wanting to utilize. Pick 5 Choose 3. In top cut before each match you will prepare 5 combos with no repeating parts and present them to your opponent. After inspecting your opponents Beyblades you will secretly inform the judge of what 2 combos you will ban from your opponent. Then you will proceed with a traditional 3 on 3 match with your 3 usable combos.
Swiss: 3on 3 to 4
Top Cut: Pick 5 Choose 3 to 7
Our tournament will make use of a few optional rules so make sure to read each of them carefully if you are unfamiliar with our events.
Own finish is in full effect. The community has become pretty clear that we want to get better at our launches and direct to pocket launches, while devastating, are avoidable. If you do not make contact with your opponents Bey, the points will still go on the board. If you launch directly into pocket or Xtreme, the points will still go on the board. This will eliminate several of the close calls.
No ratchet swaps. Takara and Hasbro make these parts in a specific manner and every time we open them up foul play is possible, so we try to limit that as much as we can.
Out of Bounds Over Finish! If your Beyblade exits play through the launch zone it is ruled as an Over finish and the opponent will receive 2 points.
No unofficial paint or stickers. The only stickers allowed are Bit Beast Style and the decorative stickers that come with certain Beys officially.
Disclaimer: We are all coming together to play this great game to have fun, so remember, have fun! Especially those of us who have little ones looking to us as examples. Be the positive role models that we all are capable of being.
