Yes, you read that right, Spinoff is back on!

After a little negotiation the guys at the MCM Expo have agreed to give us some space for the tourney. Awesome, right? Now here's the hard part: forget everything you have previously heard about Spinoff. Seriously, it'll just confuse the hell out of you. Let's start a fresh, okay?

Okay. Spinoff is now a two day event. It'd be great if you could make both days but if you can only make one then that is fine too. We will have the main tourney on Saturday 23rd. It is scheduled to start at 12:00. This may be pushed back till like 12:30 if people are stuck in queues, etc, but no later than this. If you want to take part you must have registered before then. We will have free battles and demos to the other Expo attendees on both the Saturday (when we're not doing the tourney) and the following Sunday. We may have a mini tourney on the Sunday, depending on the number of people.

The actual tourney will start at roughly midday on the Saturday. If you've put down that you're coming and I can see you're not there then I can wait a bit but I'd like to get it started around that time. I'll post a picture or something later but for now, my number is *number deleted because you don't need it anymore*. Use as appropriate (running late, can't find us, etc.)

As Spinoff is now being hosted inside the Expo, you must buy a ticket. You can either buy a Fast Track Ticket that will allow you early and relatively queue free access to the event, or you can turn up on the day and buy a ticket when you get there. However, if you do this then you may have to wait in some pretty long queues. For that reason, it is advised that you order tickets in advance. For more inormation, please look here: http://www.londonexpo.com/show_information/tickets.html

Transport to the Excel Center is easy as it has very close train and DLR links. Just start at the Excel Center and work backwords to your house! If you have any queries on how to get there then please PM me so I can help you out. Alternatively, this may be of help: http://www.excel-london.co.uk/visitors/travel

It would be nice if you could PM me or post to say you're definitely coming but if not then don't worry. In any case, spread the word and bring along as many friends as you can!

If you have any other questions or queries please ask here or PM me. I'll be sure to answer quickly. If it is a smaller question I would appreciate it if you PMed me rather than spamming up the thread. Thanks a lot in advance. Wink

Obviously the most important part is that we all get to meet and battle each other, but, as an added bonus, we have some prizes. Wink

~Saturday~
1st Prize: 4x RBV2
2nd Prize: 3x RBV2
3rd Prize: 2x RBV2

~Sunday~
1st Prize: 1x RBV2
2nd Prize: 1x RBV2
3rd Prize: 1x RBV2

For those of you who are curious, RBV2 is a pretty awesome RB. Most of the blades in it have good parts, and there's the chance of getting a Libra which is obviously a staple part. Here's what you could win:

Aquario 105B
Aquario DF145SF
Bull DF145HF
Libra 100F
Libra D125HF
Pisces D125BS
Virgo 100B
Virgo 125BS

It seems an attendance list is necessary so.....here we go. Joyful_3 It'd be great if anyone who is 'unconfirmed' could confirm whatever their answer may be as soon as possible. I do apologise if there are any mistakes, I'm sure you can understand that with all the 'it's on', 'no it's off', 'no it's on', 'no it's off' stuff, it is a little confusing. ^^;

I am hesitant to put any more than that. I don't want people to be put down for something they had no intension of going to and then people getting annoyed at them for it. ^^; Who knows, I may have already put too much. :X

As you can see on page 12, Espio is working on another list but let's wait a little till that's updated here. :3

Lmao, love the background. Try not to get too stressed though. The WBO as a whole and ourselves, the UK bladers, do not really have the money to be ordering loads of prints and such........the posters sound good, I'd go with that. But we don't want this to be too expensive, regarding pamphlets and such. Try not to worry about the pamphlets - if they get done then great, but if not then I'll just print off some at school. They may not be as awesome but they'll get the job done. Wink
I havebeen thinking. A place a worked for said they can do 10 prints for £10. I was considering a few A2 posters at £10 a piece. However, because I'm not sure on the tournament turn out, I'm not sure whether it would be worth it. If the turnout is good this time and the next event, if another is held, looks to be just as promising then I will consider it.

The pamphlets, as far as I'm aware, are getting paid for by theINtoy. I'm asking for 500 double sided prints rather than their maximum offer of 1000.
I have the following quantity printed:
  • Diedead Spinoff Posters x9
  • Brad Beyblade Battle Station posters x3

Assuming that the tournament is going to have enough participants, the top three placed bladers should receive a copy of the Spinoff poster each. There will be one for Diedead for his portfolio. There will be one for myself, Rocky and Blitz (if they want one). The Battle Station posters will be kept for any future events. The other two Spinoff posters, well, we will have to see =D.

The pamphlets are being printed by theINtoy or one of their contacts. I will take pictures of the pamphlets as soon as I get them delivered, if it isn't too close to expo. Things are coming together finally =D.
So that's what you meant by a 'display case for one porter'? Makes sense now. Kinda. Yeah, I'd wouldn't mind a poster at the end of all this. Joyful_3 It can go next to my other beyblade poster......Pinching_eyes_2
Thanks for this. *hug* Though if we have them we should really put up at least a few of them on the friday beforehand.......Confused
Damn they look amazing! and I'd love one of the posters Grin
EDIT: Rocky makes a good point, It would be good to put some of them up on the Friday...
I might go print some more of the spinoff posters. I can keep our posters, Diedead's poster and the tournament winner posters seperate. The others we can post up outside the Excel hall. Will get another 5 or 6 Spinoff posters printed =D. Tell you what, if you want to meet on the Friday then I can arrange something. Like maybe meet up around 5pm and I can hand over some 5 or 6 of the posters plus the Battle Station posters? I would bring the framed one on the saturday morning.
Posters lookin gooood Grin Could have asked me about using the Spinoff poster for the BeyUK background though. I mean, keep it up, but still, just cause I designed it for the event, doesn't make it yours to do whatever you like with it...
I am not so sure we need more posters do we? I mean I'm not sure if the MCM guys will allow us to put posters up in general areas or not, I'm still waiting on an email from them. Naturally, they're very busy. If you really want then go for it but it may be best to wait until then, aspecially seeing we already have these beautiful ones for now. Wink
Also, PMed.

And a random note, I am still at a loss as to why everyone calls dieddead46, 'Diedead'. Confused
I will get a few more posters printed next week. Not too many of course. As for Dieddead, I just keep missing the second "d" out =D.
It's a common typing error, and I REALLY need to change my stupid user name XP It's been the same since I was 13, I've just kept it for convenience XD
OK, if I sort out this stomache problem I have then I might still be able to come, I just need to keep fighting. There might also be someone that I might be able to go with.

Good to hear it Zander. I hope you loose the stomach problem.

It's not going to be easy, since it is also a mind thing but I will never give into it.

Going a bit of topic so I will just say that I love the idea of the Spinoff poster thing. Smile
That be my handywork, so thanks Zander =D
Also a little bit off the current topic, but I actually think we might get quite a lot of traffic on the Sunday, mainly from people attending both days who don't go on the forums much.
When you look at the number of people who attend expo, and how many of those are actually on the expo forums, their must be a massive amount of people who won't have heard about Spinoff.
But yeah, with the posters around and the event going on Saturday, I think a few of the older fans who got in at the plastic or HMS generations might bring blades on the second day.
^ I'm actually a little worried about this. If people actually read the leaflets we force upon them and are interested then we totally won't have enough blades for everyone. Confused

I thought blades were only going to the 3 winners of each competition?
I'm pretty sure Rocky means lending out beyblades to random people that get interested and want to take part. We only have a very limited number of blades/launchers we can lend out.

Rocky meant that there won't be enough for them to borrow but I don't think that will be a problem.

Edit: Beaten. XD
Dieddead i think she meant to lend out beyblades to them incase they want to play but also Rocky we don't have to lend out our blades it's just a matter of choice to weather you want to or not.Pinching_eyes
Beaten: (darn you people)
Ah, all making sense now, though I don't think it'll be a massive problem.
Might want to find a way of marking any blades that are being borrowed though, even if it's with just a board marker on the metal wheel.. Last thing we need happening is having them getting mixed up with other peoples blades, or even having them stolen.
Yeah, that's what I meant. If we had more time I'd have bought a bunch of stuff off YJA or something but I doubt the stuff I want for myself will even come in time. Pinching_eyes_2 I was actually wondering whether it would be better to only use like 6-10 of the RBV2s as prizes just to give us a few more parts. But I still wouldn't know what to do about launchers and I hadn't bothered to discuss that with anyone else yet. XD Attendance could really go either way at the moment so...... Pinching_eyes_2

I'd like to say hopefully we'll have just the right amount of people for the beys we have but then it'd be great if we could have loads of people too. Confused Lol Sam, I'm not gonna force people to lend their blades out, don't worry. It'd just be helpful if people could. Seems at the moment that spares are coming from me (though I only have a teeny collection myself), Blitz, maybe Espio, I can't really remember. I am not sure what people will feel about marking their beyblades. I imagine a board marker should come of easily though......

Oh but on the plus side, we have a laptop. I can't remember if I said that or not already.

I will have 6 launchers spare. I'm not taking L Drago and my left laucher. To risky, just in case the left launcher brakes.
I'll be bringing two beylaunchers, so that's one more. How many do we need in total to be safe, I might be able to get another one before expo.
As launchers/beyblades many as possible. Seeing as how I have no idea how many people will be interested. We'll never actually be 'safe'. XD

We can assume that anybody on here that is interested will have at least one launcher and blade to use.
