Yes, you read that right, Spinoff is back on!

After a little negotiation the guys at the MCM Expo have agreed to give us some space for the tourney. Awesome, right? Now here's the hard part: forget everything you have previously heard about Spinoff. Seriously, it'll just confuse the hell out of you. Let's start a fresh, okay?

Okay. Spinoff is now a two day event. It'd be great if you could make both days but if you can only make one then that is fine too. We will have the main tourney on Saturday 23rd. It is scheduled to start at 12:00. This may be pushed back till like 12:30 if people are stuck in queues, etc, but no later than this. If you want to take part you must have registered before then. We will have free battles and demos to the other Expo attendees on both the Saturday (when we're not doing the tourney) and the following Sunday. We may have a mini tourney on the Sunday, depending on the number of people.

The actual tourney will start at roughly midday on the Saturday. If you've put down that you're coming and I can see you're not there then I can wait a bit but I'd like to get it started around that time. I'll post a picture or something later but for now, my number is *number deleted because you don't need it anymore*. Use as appropriate (running late, can't find us, etc.)

As Spinoff is now being hosted inside the Expo, you must buy a ticket. You can either buy a Fast Track Ticket that will allow you early and relatively queue free access to the event, or you can turn up on the day and buy a ticket when you get there. However, if you do this then you may have to wait in some pretty long queues. For that reason, it is advised that you order tickets in advance. For more inormation, please look here: http://www.londonexpo.com/show_information/tickets.html

Transport to the Excel Center is easy as it has very close train and DLR links. Just start at the Excel Center and work backwords to your house! If you have any queries on how to get there then please PM me so I can help you out. Alternatively, this may be of help: http://www.excel-london.co.uk/visitors/travel

It would be nice if you could PM me or post to say you're definitely coming but if not then don't worry. In any case, spread the word and bring along as many friends as you can!

If you have any other questions or queries please ask here or PM me. I'll be sure to answer quickly. If it is a smaller question I would appreciate it if you PMed me rather than spamming up the thread. Thanks a lot in advance. Wink

Obviously the most important part is that we all get to meet and battle each other, but, as an added bonus, we have some prizes. Wink

~Saturday~
1st Prize: 4x RBV2
2nd Prize: 3x RBV2
3rd Prize: 2x RBV2

~Sunday~
1st Prize: 1x RBV2
2nd Prize: 1x RBV2
3rd Prize: 1x RBV2

For those of you who are curious, RBV2 is a pretty awesome RB. Most of the blades in it have good parts, and there's the chance of getting a Libra which is obviously a staple part. Here's what you could win:

Aquario 105B
Aquario DF145SF
Bull DF145HF
Libra 100F
Libra D125HF
Pisces D125BS
Virgo 100B
Virgo 125BS

It seems an attendance list is necessary so.....here we go. Joyful_3 It'd be great if anyone who is 'unconfirmed' could confirm whatever their answer may be as soon as possible. I do apologise if there are any mistakes, I'm sure you can understand that with all the 'it's on', 'no it's off', 'no it's on', 'no it's off' stuff, it is a little confusing. ^^;

I am hesitant to put any more than that. I don't want people to be put down for something they had no intension of going to and then people getting annoyed at them for it. ^^; Who knows, I may have already put too much. :X

As you can see on page 12, Espio is working on another list but let's wait a little till that's updated here. :3

Mm, I like that way too. I was just wondering what other people though. It will most likely be all random. :3

Just three for the Saturday tourney? I was thinking more than that. :X Or did you mean Sunday?
Well I thought prizes would've have been the top 3?
1st, 2nd, 3rd, unless you extend it to like, top 5?
Well yeah but I figured the people who place would get more than one blade each. XD I thought that was what everyone else would have assumed but I could be wrong......which is why I just wanted to know other peoples opinions. :3
Ahhh! Ok, in which case, that was just me being a bit dense. Well then, 5 for the winners? 3 for 1st, 2 for 2nd, 1 for 3rd, then maybe just the three for the Sunday?
Not sure how many that leaves left over to be lent out?
Or maybe just one for the Sunday? And then the used blades could be sold at the end, and any money from it could be put back to paying off leaflets, or towards a future event?
The three, two and one prizes is the way i assumed the prizes would have been given out anyway. I think that the picses should go to the person that places 1st as they would have darnt it tbh. Im cool with anything though. Thought i would drop my 2 cents. Also, regarding leaflets. You dont really need to worry about it as intoy are supporting us with those. They should gain their money back through future sales. Ploughing the money back into another spinoff is the best route to take.
if the BWR crowd complained and asked as many questions as the Spinoff crowd i would've canceled BWR ages ago

rocky, you have the patience of a saint
MCM have released their Expo catalogue for this year. A map is included that shows our location. There is also a handy Expo survival guide in there for first time visitors. Check the link below:

Click the "London MCM Expo Show Guide May 2009" text at the top of that page. It is underlined and wait for the ebook to load.
That spot is sweet, we're right next to the entrance!!! We were majorly lucky to get a spot that great.
im on here at my school kidtala needs a beyblade and a laucher cus brock his laucher and he lost his beyblade.
They should have been more careful. You will want to order a Beyblade by tomorrow from INtoy with Parcel Force 24 delivery to get it for friday. I weary about lending stuff out, especially if they are like your cousin. I don't fancy people breaking my stuff. If that should happen then I would want the price of the item, including packaging.

In addition to the above. The leaflets have just been dispatched. Am just waiting on them to arrive now.
That's a risk that anybody who lends out their stuff takes Espio.
At least it's a fairly small area, and anyone blading will be under constant watch by judges or other players.
If people are using anything in an unacceptable manner, whether that be their own, or someone elses equipment, they'll be told.
The leaflets are looking unlikely at this point. The printers have sent them from Poland and parcel force tell me it can take around 3 days to arrive in the UK. So much for it arriving on 22nd!
Poland? What. The. Hell. Chocked
Ugh. At least we'll have them by Sunday. If we don't have them by then then the whole thing is kinda pointless. Fingers still crossed for Saturday though.
I'm in London on Friday. I would have to travel back to basingstoke to pick them up.
theintoy get their leaflets printed in Poland Chocked_2
Okay, discussion regarding the leaflets won't magically make them appear so I'd appreciate if people didn't start. Unless you own a private jet or something we can save them with.....just cross you fingers.

(dieddead I'm not shouting at you I just don't want a whole three pages of 'argh poland')
Probably cost a lot less to outsource than to print in the UK.

EDIT: As Rocky duly noted, we shall refrain from pursuing this further considering their reasoning was obvious.
Here is the situation. Everybody should understand the story, but this is the last of it. The company is based in london but they also print im poland when they have a lot or work at their place im london. Hence why they are getting sent from poland. I am extremely stressed over this and if it doesnt happen then it would be my fault.
Espio, It isn't your fault at all, you went out of your way to get these printed, and you've done everything within your power to get this sorted. The situation is out of your hands, so there's no use in stressing over it.
Besides, leaflets don't make Spinoff, people make Spinoff.
We've got big posters with the WBO web address on it, we're listed in the main brochure for the expo, and people don't need to be told about beyblade to be able to enjoy it.
Let's just make the best of Spinoff, and enjoy it for what it is, a big tournament that'll also help promote the WBO.
Here is the map for people who are having trouble reading the ebook:

Oh! Cool, were near the entrance so people don't have to search for where we are.

chill dude; don't pop a blood vessel over this. As already mentioned this is not a game breaker; Spinoff will still be a success with or without fliers. Smile

I second this. We could also buy those board things that people use for 'free hugs' but write something for the Spinoff and hold it up in the crowd and walk around a bit, maybe we could do that before it starts to let people know as well. Just a thought.
... You mean bits of foam board with stuff written on them? I might be able to get some foam board, but you wouldn't get them till the Sunday.

I think they have them there but i am not to sure and if they did, you would have to pay for them, we would only need a few and I could pay for them if they are not to much. Smile
