Hasbro Beyblade Burst - Upcoming Release & Rumor Thread

At least roar looks okay
Roar doesn't look bad and I love Edge (I know it's terrible). Valtryek is horrific.

I really want to see more pictures of Muramasa
That stone linwyrm has to be one of the worst recolors hasbro has ever put out in burst, i hate it.

Not as much as i hate what they did to valkyrie though, holy hell. And why is roar thinner than it should be?
Roar Balkesh looks... acceptable, like at least the colours keep it's diverse colour scheme and keep most of it's striking aesthetics, barring the green shields, they didn't even bother painting that.

That Valtryek however... looks like garbage. Actually, on it's own, it just kinda looks like Victory Valkyrie including it's colour scheme, but as a Saviour Valkyrie alternative... it's horrible. There's not a hint of red, they didn't even paint some parts to liven up it's bland colour scheme. It also looks more blunt too, for some reason.
Roar is probably the best looking one out of the W2 starters despite the lack of detail. But Holy frick, Savior what did they do to you?!

Stone Linwyrm is whatever, it honestly just looks like it deserves to be in a McDonald's or Wendy's kids meal as a collectible toy.
Stone IMO is literally just Flash from 4D (I’ve only saw pictures and brief info) but worse. Also for some reason when I told my *name redacted * abt how Hasbro is the punching bag of the community, she tells me is just u guys opinion.(Right?)
I try not to follow Hasbro too much since I don't wanna get involved with this insanely toxic thread (This is literally just over 100 pages of people being angry) but I figured I'd at least give my overall review.

QuadDrive System | Okay: Having each tip have 2 built in modes is pretty neat. Nto a great trade off since all the major gimmicks are removed, but it's nice. Also Low and High mode are actually functioning, so that's a step in the right direction\

Cosmic Vector Battle Set | Nice: The stadium is good. It's spacious and the ridges are high enough to force Beyblades into them. Magma Ifritor has underwhelming performance from what I've seen and it lacks just enough detail to make me not like the appearance. Destruction Belfyre looks pretty alright and performs decently. I don't expect it to be amazing since it's in the first wave. Overall a solid set to get a collection started but for good Beys you would definitely need to buy more products.

Cyclone Fury String Launcher Set | Great: Cyclone Roktavor looks pretty good and performs very well from what I've seen. It also comes with a String Launcher which are better than the normal ones but aren't released often. This set has great value, I would highly recommend it.

Destruction Belfyre Starter Set | Cool: Pretty nice recolor, I like it more than the anime accurate design.

Cyclone Roktavor Starter Set | Okay: Decent recolor but I prefer the anime accurate one.

Stone Linwrym Starter Set | Decent: The actual design of the Bey looks pretty cool but the colors definitely could be better

Roar Balkesh Starter Set | Nice: The colors look nice, but Edge sucks, though you can just use the Armor Tip. Since they have to choose a mode it makes sense that it's permanently in the perfect circle one since that would probably be the superior one for a defense type. I actually like it, but Edge does bring down my rating.

Salvage Valtryek Starter Set | Bad: Obviously you've seen it already. The lack of colors sucks, the crooked center sucks, and the Forge Disc suck since they've done no disc beys before. Hopefully Ultimate Valtryek will be better.

Overall Rating: Pretty decent. I feel like every gimmick except Belfyre's and Salvages have an impact on the Bey, however they'll probably just release a version of Belfyre with all the gear on it, so that just leaves Salvage in it's heap of problems. Honestly I'd buy a few of these Beys, some of them looks solid enough.

"insanely toxic thread"

So people giving criticism towards Hasbro is now "toxic"? Very weird take to have.

I have the products and don't like the direction at all.

The Cosmic Vector Battle Set doesn't work all the time with beys getting stuck on the ridges with traversal in the arena not being perfect similar issues to slingshock's stadium from years ago.

For the Roktavor set I also don't think that a reskinned launcher from years ago that has faults and breakage being re-released is really great value. Aside from Assualt-QD which you can just get in another 2-pack and don't have to buy the set for. I would still say the power spark launcher is the best value for a Hasbro launcher that was released.

The disks are where you can kinda argue they seem more OK and not really that crazy for use since a lot of them have issues of either too light or hollowed out.

I also think it is a very uninformed statement to say "performs very well" is simply not true all QD layers are plagued with hollowed out and no gimmicks making them very light and not viable to use. All the cores either have OK to poor burst resistance and all the performance tips and armors currently released are useless aside from Assualt for WBO burst classic and kick attachment for use in classic and MAYBE limited.

If you like the beys and enjoy them then sure you can say that, but I think if we're going to be fair here a lot of the statements said are simply not the case.
People mad about wave 2. Just wait until nytf and we see the whole collection.
I doubt the whole collection will be much better.

Surge was constantly declining quality. Wave 4 Surge, you could clearly tell they checked out already and didn't care.

There is no NYTF 2022, it was canceled.

In ever said I like the Beys, I criticized lots of them in the post. All I'm saying is that this thread is literally run on hatred at this point. There really is no new criticism. It's the same arguments over and over. No details, no gimmick, bad new gimmick, no weight, bad performance. It never changes, people will just say a few or all of these points in a different sequence based on what product they're mad at. I can go back a few pages and all I see is just people being angry. This thread just isn't productive. That's why I just prefer not to be here.

I can say "I really like this bey I think it is cool" is the same level of unproductive by your logic, I think you're confusing "hatred" with people not being fans of how the beys are handled. I don't really think people need to be justified in saying that the new releases that are being done have these mistakes that shouldn't have happened. It feels more to me you only want people to have forced positivity rather than discussing the releases.

So if you don't want to be in a thread that doesn't confirm your opinion then you do you, I don't consider this thread toxic as no one is attacking others that like Hasbro, people are having a dialogue. I am saying this because it is unfair to generalize the people who post on here to do something that they aren't really doing.
Productive? Lol. There are no changes in our criticisms because Hasbro doesn't change them. How would you like us to be productive?

Also, I'm not angry. I'm making jokes and genuinely find it funny. But if you don't want to read it, go elsewhere and stop posting about it. Life will go on.

That is also unproductive. I never suggested something like that wouldn't be. You need to have a proper discussion, list some points at least. When people make simple statements like this they're literally told by others to have actual discussion all the time. You're just putting words into my mouth. I never said I liked the Beys, I clearly stated that this thread is just the same stuff over and over again so nothing new comes out of it. My point was never aimed towards whether you like or dislike the Beyblades, its just that in my experience I see people making the same points every year, so this thread just feels boring. There's nothing new coming out of this thread, and it's not like we need to keep pushing the same points so Hasbro can see us. Hasbro is not affiliated with this thread in any way shape for form, so it's just constant screaming into the void. I'd rather actually bring up some new points and have some new discussion, but it's always the same. You can predict what people will say before they even release.

"I can't believe they didn't do Astral's gimmick properly"

"I can't believe Regnar doesn't have the burst locks"

"I can't believe Ultimate doesn't have rubber"

"I can't believe Dangerous doesn't have it's tip's gimmick and isn't compatible with the Gears."

I'm just looking for new things. That's why I hang out on news threads, because I can see people's reactions to the new stuff (which can actually differ depending on what the news is). This just isn't the place for me personally. I'm sure you can keep pushing the cause and spread it to other platforms to stop buying Hasbro products, but I just don't ahve the time for that.

I also just don't post on this thread, like at all. I didn't want to get into a discussion, but it was started. I stated in my initial statement that I just want to get my overall feelings out and then leave. I wanted to do so since the products actually finally releasing. This also happens to coincide with the Wave 2 reveals so I could also weight in on that subject.

What said "If you like the beys and enjoy them you can just say that" I didn't say that you like the beys, what I said was IF you do just say that which was what your post boiled down to that didn't need to generalize and out anyone.

You also realize the whole "You can predict what people will say before they even release." can just be reversed and used on you? The beys are out but none of the statements you said were true on it. So when you say unproductive, I did address all of what you said, and instead, it got shifted around to have no discussion.

I am even more confused what "new points" do you think people can talk about? All the criticism towards modern Hasbro has been issues that haven't been fixed OR things the brand is not consistent on. So I really don't know what you are on about with saying this, you need to understand the conversation of the "debate" with Hasbro.

Also why do you feel the need to have the mentality of gatekeeping essentially? Hasbro not reading the WBO has nothing to do with people being vocal with their opinion towards the products.

Again as I just said all this boils down to me is less about criticism towards Hasbro and more forced positivity and people shouldn't speak about it because it is in your words it is "unproductive" for people to share things that aren't like that.

I don't feel like continuing this conversation. I keep saying that the reason I don't use this thread much is because there's no new discussion. It doesn't matter the reason why, that just is a fact. There's no new points, so I'm not interested. I'm trying to make this as clear as possible but you're just going back and forth. Like, if someone was able to prove the exact reasons why and the exact supply issues or whatever that causes Hasbro to downgrade these Beys, that would be interesting. If someone was to do an analysis on a potential deeper reason why Hasbro keeps making these mistakes even though people don't like the products and they seemingly aren't selling well, that would be interesting. But I'm just not seeing that discussion.

No "new discussion?" you originally posted "this bey performs well" and this is "good value" and I explained the reasons for why it isn't and even went in-depth with what has been good with QD that is released so far. You didn't reply to any one of it and opted to ignore all of that and make reasoning that comes down to policing people's opinions on a thread. So you avoiding a discussion and actually replying back is more what has happened, you accused me of things I didn't do.

So you want a long explanation? Sure I'll give you one:

Hasbro modifying the beys started with SST -> Turbo when starters were made cheaper, it can be assumed that Toys R Us closing affected Burst but the reality is Turbo's production had to have been done long before that so it was intentional. Other things that were intentional were canceling Switchstrike to promote Pro Series, SST was the same as Takara for gimmicks and accuracy aside from very minor things. Pro was just created to fill that void and make people believe they are justified with ruining all the beys for years.

The idea with Hasbro is to cut costs at the factory make some gimmick no one cares about and market it to a casual audience that's all it is and all it has been. Tt has been a failure for years with stores holding old stuff still on the shelves. You can even look at the financial report that talks about NA with Beyblade that was from Takara Tomy that was published. This is why things like the bey team were created, it has nothing to do with connecting to the community that is all PR fluff since if they REALLY wanted to connect they would've had open fan communication or tried to connect with the WBO.

So once again when you are talking about a discussion you need to understand the topic at hand, it gets very confusing because this idea of "new things" or people say the same thing" people are allowed to talk about what they feel they don't like about the beys.

I don't get the purpose of shutting down one side because you don't like it.

I've been trying to make my point clear that this thread is not for me. The reason I came here to state my overall feelings is because the product has just released. I will say this again. I don't really like this thread because it doesn't have much varied discussion. I don't really care about whether you like or dislike the Beyblades, I'm just looking for more different discussion, like why the contract Hasbro has with Takara Tomy is different from the one Takara Tomy has with every other international distributer. As I scroll through here, it's mostly just people complaining about the state of the Beyblades. This falls under 1 general category, criticism. I'm looking for more categories, like analysis, similar to what you've presented here. There isn't much of that. That's all there is to it.

I really just wanted to talk about why I thought QuadDrive was okay at best. That is purely the only reason I'm on this thread. That is also the only reason I don't want to talk about this anymore, because this straying from the original purpose of my statement which is eating up my time.
GHero agreed, the Hasbro hatred is drowning out analysis parts. Post Turbo layers should have their own format IMO so we can see how they stack up against each other.

Analysis and testing of Hasbro parts has already taken place - the criticism has always come after testing, not before.

The Burst Limited community has tested post-Turbo releases. Putting post-Turbo Layers in their own format is pointless when their strength is worse than God Layer/SwitchStrike Layers. There will always be good and bad parts in any format - what's the point of creating a format to accomodate the weakest parts? A post-Turbo Layer format would just be Burst Limited with less choices. There's not enough interest in such a restrictive format that only aims to use the weakest parts. Should we make a SpeedStorm Layer only format because they can't keep up with HyperSphere Layers? The fact of the matter is that most post-Turbo Layers cannot compete with older Hasbro parts in a Hasbro-Only Format.

If you wanted to see something like SpeedStorm as a microcosm, you can refer to something like Zankye's SpeedStorm tier list, where basically everything except Triumph, Evo, and Helios, are several tiers lower in performance.

Criticism is synonymous with analysis. If you are analyzing a release, you are critiquing it. Negative criticism is still part of analysis; negative opinions of a release are because of the release's objective faults, not because of the critic's subjective tastes.

If a release has mostly negative aspects, like most post-Turbo Hasbro releases have been, the few positives will inevitably be drowned out. The reverse is also true - if a Hasbro release had mostly positive aspects (such as in SwitchStrike), it is unlikely the negative aspects would be discussed.

Discussion turning negative wasn't because of the community being toxic, but because the products were of bad quality. The community does not owe Hasbro anything and does not need to sugarcoat a hard to swallow pill - the fact that Hasbro product quality has unfortunately been decreasing.

I want Hasbro products to be good like any other Hasbro fan, but the cost-cutting by Hasbro is blatant. Hasbro has made sweeping cost-cutting measures in Beyblade and Nerf, where modern releases are inferior in performance, paint, detailing, plastic quality, etc. to ones from years ago. Prices are up, quality is down. The situation with Nerf is quite comparable to Beyblade.

The difference is the reaction of Hasbro's consumers. In the case of Nerf, consumers rightfully called out Hasbro cost-cutting, and bought from domestic competitors. In response, Hasbro Nerf 2021/2022 seems to be on a more positive trajectory. On the other hand, with Beyblade there seems to be a more forgiving attitude and acceptance of Hasbro's corporate cost-cutting, and I definitely believe it is due to the lack of domestic competition. Beyblade consumers should not defend or rationalize Hasbro's cost-cutting, which are done in the best interests of the corporation and not the consumer. If Hasbro finds that they can reduce quality and increase prices, but still be met with a "it's decent and not bad", Hasbro will keep doing so.

Don't even get me started on the fake 5-star QuadDrive reviews Hasbro has put on retailer's websites before the product is even available.

Wait, that's it! We need to find a competitor for Hasbro, then buy the heck out of them!

Exactly. Stop going on the thread if you don't like it. And there's no point writing essay's for every post.
