Even then, These beys, cheaply done or not, are based heavily on designs from TT and would likely be called out as copyright infringement if Hasbro wasn't in a partnership. Even then this could be a requirement of the license itself, and therefore mandatory to keep their end of the bargain with TT.
Exactly, so i hope they'll realize what kind of disaster they made. If they don't, i will keep buying TTs only. The problem comes when whoever bought turbos near they live will compare them with the ones in the anime, since they have literally anything of the beys shown in TV. And, if we think that the average audience stands between 6-7 to 14-15 years old they might be not able to buy on-line for: example- price, shipping fees, maybe import taxes. All things that Hasbro could have avoid. It's kinda frustrating.
Thanks for the video.

Wow, the thing is 9 grams? Guess Hasbro really is going halfsies on these.

Also, I disagree with the slopes being made looser to make up for the speed, I don't think looser slopes help with speed. If anything it needs tighter slopes to not burst against a wall with said speed.

The red plastic that replaces the metal looks nice, but unfortunately this beyblade does perform terribly, even by stock zA standards.
Come on even fake beyblades have metal. This dose not make since to me why hasbro why?
(Oct. 25, 2018  6:23 AM)BurstMaster Wrote: So, after doing some thinking about it a came up with a solution. When Hasbro does these things like remove the metal or the international tournament it is only for one purpose. Sales. Think of when the tournaments wernt going on, you wouldnt find much beyblade stock in stores now that the tournaments going on there is a overstock of these beys. I walked into a target a month before the tournament started and I found a few beys but not much else, but when the tournaments started then I noticed that shelves are full. The removing of the metal is a calculated pr move that is working. People are talking about the beys more and more, then people buy them to try it out, and they buy more and more. Hasbro can make these beys for maybe a buck or 2 a piece. There profit is huge. It worked, we lost

But think about it. It’s basic supply and demand. Removing the metal allows them to increase supply and the pr generated increases demand. If they added metal it would lead to a lower supply than demand. Then not everybody who wants the Beyblades gets them. It’s actually a smart strategy for Hasbro, they just didn’t expect this much negative pr.
@[Dt20000], yeah but that only begs the question, which is worse?

A) Having a low supply of something a lot of people want? (e.g. Tempest Wyvron, Drain Fafnir)
B) Having a huge supply of something nobody wanted. (e.g. Hasbro single layer boosters)

On one hand it does absolutely suck when not everyone can get access or even find the beyblades they actually want, I get that and it does suck for me as well and they could get backlash for mishandling the supply. But then there's also making a lot of cheap products which will most likely tank, and it would be bad on Hasbros end, no matter the effect it'll still be bad even for Hasbros part, not just the consumers.

A. Is worse I be trying to get Tempest Wyvron since for ever. I have been looking forward to to turbo since a long time but but now I am sad and also buster xcalius how would that perform without metal.

They did good with god layers but now no metal is this a nightmare?

But either way, Hasbro is unable to make much money, but B still allows them to profit more, and everybody else gets the Beyblade that they want
Hasbro licenses Beyblades from TT does it not?   Usually the Licensee in these types of contracts will need approval from the Licensor to do something like this.  In some instances the licensor basically tells their licensee exactly what they can or cannot do or even what they are going to do (example: licensing from Disney.  They essentially forced McDonald to serve apple slices....)

It is hard for me to believe TT has no say in this.  And why would TT want/allow Hasbro to fail?  They don’t like the checks they get from licensing?   They want their brand to be less valuable worldwide?  It’s easy to say Hasbro is going scorched earth and just trying to make a quick buck by going cheap on their products. But why would TT let them devalue the beyblade brand?

I don’t know the answer but it just doesn’t make sense.  Also,  Young Toys is not doing this.  But I don’t know their business relationship with TT.  Maybe they are only a distributor?
I knew this was coming, they would cheap out the moment it got the slightest bit more “complicated” than “put giMickk oN bEy ANd pUT MEtaL soMEtiMe” I knew they would not learn from their mistakes a re - do of metal saga , that’s why I stuck with TT, consistent, cool looking, functional, high quality beys time after time, not being disappointed often, this really hit home, I thought that Hasbro had changed but NO they just lazed out as always.

Sure it’s cost effective and light, but the kids are paying for less action and explosive battles, but WHO would pay for an inferior product, and it literally removes the entire purpose of CHO-Z “Transcendent” of the God Layers, but look at them now, basically cheaper looking dual Layers... they are probably gonna shut down Beyblade Burst Turbo And think people don’t like it instead of their own mistakes, completely ruining the legacy of Beyblade as just another toy that died out, one word is to describe this mess of a Beyblade series made by lazy uncle Hasbro... DISSAPOINTMENT

Buy TT Beyblades, if you find the right selection you will not be disappointed

Great job Hasbro ???? another foot in the grave and crashing your own company into the ground ;-;

Hello,

I've merged your "Thoughts on Hasbro Turbo" thread with this one. It doesn't need it's own thread and can be done here. Please make sure to check if any existing thread can be used before making a new one.

Thank you.

I'll accept that this was done in an attempt to make a profit but given the mostly negative feedback of these Turbo beyblades so far, I doubt these are "the Beyblade that they want", not to mention the sales may not be what they hoped for, but we'll see.
Do you think Hasbro would make prime drivers? Or will they cop out and just recolor the white part.
Hasbro's Turbo reminds me of Happy Meal toys, I just can't. What will happen with the grand world tournament of Hasbro, will there be a different category because the Turbo layers aren't competitive to be in the standard format, most of the Evolution layers are heavier, a new category where you can only use Turbo drivers and the rail stadium? IMO, it's just as silly as Hasbro's remote controlled beyblades and the other ones that lights up.

Those that come from TT only countries will only use what they receive from the tournament welcome kit which is all SwitchStrike parts and products. So only Switchstrike Beys will be used in the tournament. Turbo will have no presence in the World Tournament in Paris.

Actually, every participant will receive the kit with all the SwitchStrike products. And the rules state that only the products in the welcome kit are allowed. So it'll be all Switchstrike.

I believe neither will happen. It'll be a Slingshock Tip all the same.
And speaking of Hasbro's tournament, it would really suck if the next one forced you to only use Turbo Beys and Stadiums. Big oof tbh.

They look very plastic too me. I don't think they do.

Yeah, maybe. The "metal" parts on the layers also look like they're merged with the plastic below them, so...

Also, near the middle of Geist Fafnir, there is plastic painted silver that looks like metal even when you have it in your hand, and it's giving off the same shine as Luinor L4's metal...

Plus, Hasbro doesn't paint metal anymore
Yeah, thats what I said
Hasbro is trying to make more money by not adding metal maybe for hasbro adding metal is very expensive and requires alot of machines and staff instead they just copied the evolution line of beys for turbo
lmao, hasbro is goin right back to the dollar store, just like those junky little trinkets they called “beywarriors”

They might actually do this to make more money.
I just bought luinor l4 and it is bad

Okay. Can you try it against F3.
I certainly hope Hasbro is planning on giving us new stadium designs and not just the toilet seat looking slingshock stadiums.
Tbh I have questions. A fake wV (The higher scale fake with fake 12 and Vl) costs approx $10. Same as a turbo starter, cept the fakes have metal. If some asians in their basement can profit from metal beys at that price why cant hasbro.
On a side note, I might pick up the V4 starter and replace the plastic with fake metal.

I see your point.  I think one reason is that Hasbro is a big company and they have take regulations more seriously.  They have more to lose.  The fake metal.... is there lead in it?  If so, how much lead is in it?  Did child laborers cast the metal?  I am not saying there is lead in it, but lead would be an excellent inexpensive way to get weight in the fake bey...  Hasbro probably cares very much that you don’t get lead poisoning and sue them for 100 million.  You can sue  the guy in the basement for 100 million too, but he will have to pay you in more fake beys.

Not defending Hasbro at all.  I believe they are making a huge mistake.  And I don’t think the non-precious metal they use on beys is a huge expensive tbh.  But let’s not forget TT gets a say in what Hasbro does.  Hasbro is licensing from TT.  And TT will protect their IP just like any other company will.  TT is ok with this...but why?  Also, the more money Hasbro makes the more TT makes....  Lets not forget that is how licensing works.  If you license Batman from DC and put him on lunch boxes, DC will get something for each lunch box you sell.

Maybe Hasbro lost a LODS OF EMONE during the Toys R Us incident. They keep losing a fair share everyday.
