Thanks so much Draciel! I'll be able to sleep tonight now...

Just think about this, what if this was one of the few manufacturer errors and in reality we havent seen anything yet.

its very possible since sometimes ppl get really loose F230 and they perform bad. Competitive tests against the Brown F230 would be boss doe.
And who knows how mixing their parts might affect performance...?
...

Did you see how horrible that thing was?

It lost to BWD.

I've seen messed up Orange F230s before, and they can still OS BWD easily, especially on Phantom.

I understand that thorough investigation is required on matters like this, but TBH, the chances that the one F230 Draciel picked has manufacturing flaws are extremely slim.

We do need more results, but as of right now, it doesn't look like Hasbro's orange F230 will be nearly as much of a problem as Takara's orange F230 was/is.

I'm also clinging to the idea that it'll eat dirt, because this whole readily-available 9-dollar weapon of mass destruction has me a little stressed out LOL.
There are more factors involved though, I would wait for more tests.
Edited my post above.

I know, LOL.

Still extremely happy to see that there's a very good chance the thing won't be a problem.

@Angry:
Even if that were true, the user would still need to purchase a Takara Tomy F230 to combine it with, which is definitely not cheap, and most likely will not be widely utilized.

The scary factor is availability. If a bunch of newbs who don't recognize the negative impact it will have on the game get their hands on crazy good orange F230's, chances are the meta as we know it will be over.

Yes, I'm dramatic, but I have good reason. Seeing F230 overrun metas does things to a man...

Still super excited about Genbull and Girago being cheap now, though. As long as the parts in question aren't potentially game breaking, higher availability for newer players = more competition = more fun!
i can give whoever wants one a good hasbro F230

The new orange F230?
Anyways; this isn't the right thread for that.
Oh man I actually died laughing at the red one's finger tip spin, that is appalling. I didn't think of fingertip spins as a way to check but it's actually how I check a lot of my bearing setups for how freely they spin (though in plastics, spinning the bearings themselves on the shaft with your fingers and listening is generally better, especially for double-bearing setups etc).

Honestly for me it's a shame the Hasbro one is apparently so far not as good as Takara's, was hoping it could bring back people who may have stopped playing because they couldn't get a good F230.

By the way, after seeing that stadium I'm very interested in the discussion about unbanning it. Someone should really get one and do comparatives with a BB-10.
can someone show me a picture of a shogun steel genbull

Wow, I am super excited to see these soon!
Not happy with Hasbro's decision to use the regular blue-coloured Track/Bottom for Samurai Pegasis.

We should, but I also think it's highly unlikely that the horrible performance of the Orange Hasbro F230 in his video (though the red was even more pitiful, somehow lol) was just a rare manufacturing error. Maybe there is good ones out there, but this at least proves that they are inconsistent, unlike the Orange Takara F230's.

Thank you, I agree about Samurai Pegasus's track and bottom color, if it was clear red like the TT ver but still uses the Red Samurai then I could accept that. They've made Cosmic Pegasus's track and bottom red (although not clear) why not for this one?
Wow, that Orange was not good.

My prediction was true, thank goodness.

It looks like the meta has been saved; thank you Hasbro.

I am not sure how "continued strong bias towards those who can get their hands on a relatively rare/expensive Takara Tomy beyblade" is "saved" or at all a good thing - it means that we continue with a state where those who can't get one potentially considering not competing because of that (which has apparently happened), at least in Zero-G where it's at its most powerful.

Plus it means confusion between the two for buyers especially in future, and what was previously discussed about clarifying what versions they are has to be done.

I shouldn't complain, but I find it pretty funny that this, of all things, is something people are willing to praise hasbro for.

I know, it's weird. We're thanking a company for ruining a highly-sought-after part, huh?

It's not that confusing, just call it a Takara (Random Booster) F230 and a Hasbro (Single Pack) F230.

At least I consider it to be "saved", as it will keep F230 (Orange TT) hard to obtain, so F230 won't completely take over the game, which was a worry. By this, I mean everyone showing to a tournament won't have a great F230.

That's how I think of it, at least.
Your logic is heavily flawed - F230 has already taken over, look at the Winning Combinations thread - it's not so rare that most active tournament scenes don't have one or two players with it. All it staying hard to get means it that less people have access to it, so those that do will continue to have a better shot at victory, in Zero-G at least, anyway - that's not exactly fair for those without access to it (and I'm saying this with one arriving in the next couple of days), as much as part access is by necessity a part of competitive blading, historically the feeling is that it's not "good". The metagame itself is no more balanced by its state of rarity anywhere where at least one person can get their hands on it than it is where everybody can get one - but at least in the latter case the playing field is more even between individual players.

This really isn't the place to discuss this, but I really do not think this is at all something to celebrate.
By the way, really, you think the whole community will find it fine to add all the required adjectives before F230 now ? I know I can do it, because I write "two-thousand-and-fifty" without any problem, but do you realise that everybody would much rather write LDG, LDD and MLD despite the confusion it causes to young Members just because they do not want to write the Beyblades' names fully ? Everyone also wanted to use "LAD" instead of a new term in Metal Fight Beyblade just because it was easy.

So, I will of course write "TAKARA-TOMY's orange F230" like it should be written, but let me see how many other Members follow suit for the sake of comprehensiveness to all the ages of this community instead of for laziness purposes.
Mmm, well at least those other things can be covered by a glossary etc (I'm working on one, as I've mentioned in another thread), and for the L-Drago's, it's usually not too hard to guess, at least I don't regularly see people confused by it, though that could be me not paying attention.
F230 is a bit more tricky, though hopefully the Bandid Genbull article, when finished, will serve to clear up some confusion if people get lazy and just write "Good F230" or whatever.

I'm more concerned about the effect on everything written up to now, which could well be confusing in future. I think most people writing important things and so on will bother to clarify, and that kind of thing is already essential information for testing. As usual there will be those who do not, hopefully everyone else is proactive enough to get them to clarify. "TT Orange F230" is not so bad, at least.

Both are hasbro's. The red one came with the behemoth golem 2pack. Orange is the one that comes with hasbro genbu
Oh, both looked orange for some reason.

Well just to let you know, the genbu blade I got had marker on it in the package presumably from quality control. So again, don't trust this video alone. I'll pick up another genbu later

I made a thread a while ago. Nobody did comparitive tests and it died quickly

BeyWarriors BeyRaiderz appeared at the American International Toy Fair 2014 but surprisingly BeyWarriors Cyborg did not. Should be noted how the Hasbro representative mentioned Shogun Steel tops to come during Spring 2014.

Also important, they mentioned a new toyline titled Beyblades Legends. He stated it will come out during the fall "with all the characters from the history of the Beyblades source.".

OH MY G-O-S-H!

A Hasbro Beyblade release? Does this mean a reference to plastics?

OMG this is great! Assuming they actually mean the plastics era and stuff, maybe they will even re-release them Grin. But they might just mean all the characters from MFB...
Could Beyblade Legends possibly mean they're bringing back plastics? That would be the best thing ever.
Unless it just means they're rereleasing Metal Fusion beys. That'd suck, haha.
Edit: Yah, what Dragon King said.
