GTA: San Andreas

So I played this again over the past few days and my mind was blown. For one thing, revisiting my childhood was an awesome experience but what truly amazed me is how well San Andreas stands up against newer games. It was more enjoyable than Mass Effect 3 (in my opinion, of course) and I was surprised at how fun it was, not to mention how huge the game's world is. Everything, every single aspect of this game, was well thought out and it's intricacy and deepness is something not many games have achieved.

One of the things that makes this game so special is the radio stations, it introduced me to so many different kinds of music. Radio X, Radio Los Santos and my personal favourite BY FAR, K-Rose, presented by the stereotypical hillbilly Mary Beth Maybell! Apart from being hilarious, the songs on there are great, driving around in the countryside listening to K-Rose will be one of my favourite gaming moments ever. This thread is to discuss San Andreas, and how some aspects of it may be revisited in GTA V. And as a closing note to this post... replaying this game made GTA IV look like a joke, and I actually liked IV.

Your profile says you're 11 years old, have you even played GTA: San Andreas? It came out when you were 3 years old..

Your profile says you are 13. That doesn't meet the USK/ESRB/PEGI/CERO recommended age rating for those games either. How do you know their content if you haven't played it? :\

I played GTA when I was probably not much older than 11. I never played any of the missions. I'd just wreck things. I have yet to do any of the things you can in those games other than just walk around. I walk around a lot.

I played San Andreas for the first time at a young age, like 13. I enjoyed it. I came back to it at the age of 20 and it became one of my favourite games ever... it's pretty pointless playing any GTA game under the age of 15 cos you won't understand 90% of the game.

I didnt buy it my 15 year old cousin did and he would only let me drive cars and wreck things
and i played it for the first time when i was 11 (i still am)

Lol reading all these comments about age. I played San Andreas when I was like 7 years old. Loved the aspect of just being able to do whatever you wanted and stealing cars and stuff. It's funny because I'm 15 now and my parents don't let me play M-rated games. I don't know how I got away with playing this back in the day. good times

I also use to play this at a very young age, now it's a classic to me. I recently replayed it and I had loads of fun (i'm near the end game), i'm honestly a little sad the gang wars disappeared like half way through the game, it was a lot of fun battling for territory just like in pokemon go. Hopefully when I complete it fully the gang stuff will return.

wow it's been 2 months since I've last played.... Should probably get to finishing this game so i can start GTA IV.
