From the experience of hosting BX Limited with the banlist proposed by LazerBeamz for his version of the format, which bans all UX beys, TyrannoBeat, Cobalt Dragoon, and PhoenixWing. The format seems to be decently healthy, in which people who have given some criticism on it often pointed out that Whale Wave, Shark Edge, and Roar Tyranno would steamroll the format. However, with my recent experiences at the event, I don't feel that is the case at all.
Here are the winning combos from the event: https://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Winning...pid1883704
The only common beys seen in more than 2 decks were HellsScythe and Whale Wave. I personally don't believe Whale Wave and Roar Tyranno should be banned if BX Limited becomes official as both blades have very exploitable weaknesses that honestly keeps them in check.
Whale Wave's overall design, while it provides excellent smash/upper attack that would make it an S+ Tier threat, it's design leaves it with a gap that makes it prone to being burst finished through ratchet sniping, it also has the same recoil control issues as DranBuster where it can knock itself out with the force of its own attacks, and if it doesn't knock out the opposing bey immediately, it almost always loses by outspin.
Roar Tyranno's PW esque design should technically make it the "best" blade in the format despite it only being 2 grams lighter than PW. However, its overall smoother shape doesn't give it the same over the top smash attack PW is usually known for which makes a bit better for stationary attack/defense combos on Hexa and High Needle, but isn't going to be always winning the AvA matchup. It also at least from my personal experience that is has less stamina than PW in which it will usually get OS'd if it doesn't hit the opposing bey hard enough for a knockout, burst, or possible OS.
The only blade I would recommend banning from this version of BX Limited is Cobalt Drake as its more safe four sided design allows it to become more of jack of all trades that while it may not possess the same overwhelming strengths that Whale Wave and Roar Tyranno provide, it has more stamina than them by a decent margin so it should usually be able to win most battles which are only limited by the combo its being used on.
For anyone that has their version of how BX Limited should be, please show me the banlist as I may continue to experiment with the format when I am able to. I mostly prefer LazerBeamz's banlist as its pretty easy to remember and it draws a very established line about how the format should be especially when it comes to first time players trying to play the format.
