Favourite board game's of all time?

So recently at work i was working in the board game's section and i realised that lately i havnt been playing with gaming systems much lately (even though im getting digimon dawn in the mail soon) so i thought to myself that board game's and puzzle's would be my new cure to boredom.

It would be great i'd have something to do, plus they stimulate your brain more than what a ps2 does.

So now i ask you all what's your favourite board game/puzzle of all time? im curious, plus you would give me some good idea's on what games to get.
ok i have 3 favourite's:

1. Good ol' monopoly
2. Cluedo
3. Mouse trap

Yeah im rather confident im getting monopoly (the aussie edition) but it's rather expensive because the one i want isnt at the shops anymore, im also thinking i will get connect four and guess who.

I used to play those 3 with my sister back when i was a kid lol, also for a puzzle i think il just buy a cheap bakugan one at work, it's like $6, even though i dont watch bakugan it's colourful Smile
Apples to Apples

Best. Game. Ever. I've never played by the rules. I don't think anyone does. We just put whatever sounded weirdest together.
Sorry is usually fun Grin . I also like checkers and go.
Monopoly, scrabble, and Snakes and Ladders dominated my childhood.

Same for me but there was also Mouse Trap and Sorry.
Lol i havnt seen snake's and ladder's selling for ages. Iwould maybe get it if i found it but the only one's i've seen in the past few year's are like one's with a theme based around a cartoon or doll or something.
Does pictionary count? BEST. GAME. EVER.

Other than that, I like scrabble and dungeons and dragons (though I doubt the latter counts either).
Im rather sure pictionary does count as a board game.

O yeah, Dungeons and Dragons rocked. I remember when my younger bro went off by himself and started to get chased and started to run away but everytime he went in a new room and had more on his case. XD In the end me and my Uncle (Mostly me) took them head on and fought them off but if I remember right I died right near the end of them all. Unhappy

GO FTW.
I have a cheap version I got at one of those Brain Game stores with tiny stones and a cheap board. I want a better one.

Also, I didn't play much board games, only card games. However, I did have the normal Sorry, Monopoly, and this D&D type game called Hero Quest. It was great.
Snakes and Ladders rocked more then any board game I played. I used to have a big floor mat version with big inflatable dice I would play it every day without fail. I miss that game so much Crying

On another note I don't know how anybody could play risk I could never get the hang of the rules and I would give up because of frustration then I would just play tetris.
Monopoly, Life, Trouble, etc

Does Connect Four count? Cute
Cluedo (Coronal Mustard ftw lol) and Monopoly had to be my fav's Tongue_out
1.Connect Four & Monopoly
2.Scrabble
3.Payday XD

Jenga is awesome though Cool

I've only played Cluedo once before D:
In no particular order:
Monopoly,
Cluedo Challenge (dunno how it differs from regular Cluedo, I've never played the original),
Frustration/Agitation,
Scrabble,
Snakes and Ladders

Games that aren't really board games:
Connect Four
Guess Who
Boggle
And then I love card games but there are a load of them.....kinda need their own thread. :X
I love love love Monopoly. You know theres actually a free online version on pogo.com... I wonder if anyone would be interested in playing with each other here?

Whenever we played my friend's dad would always be the DM, but he'd make the dungeon impossibly hard. I think we almost got through a whole one once but died at the end to the lethal dragon that was put there. xD

Sadly, these are memories from years and years ago. I can only remember the basic system of how to play. I do remember my character was a cleric though I think. I dunno, they've probably changed the rules now. This was forever ago and most of the stuff was really old even back then. =P
What the heck? I had no clue that "Clue" is marketed as "Cluedo" overseas. Was the movie the same way?

Also, Cranium! So much fun.
Hey, is (original) Twister considered a board game? Now that is the best game ever Wink. I need to buy myself one one day.
The very first bionicle board game. im not talking about that toa nuva and more recent stuff. i mean the original toa. You collected masks and fought creatures until you eventualy face makuta (remember when the plot was that simple?). The cool thing about it was that the board was different every time you played. there were circular gear-like puzzle pieces that you would shuffle and then attach at random a you progressed. that made sure the game never got old. i remember pwning my friend at it all the time.
Connect Four and Stop! Thief!

Oh god, yes, it's changed.
