Chapter 12

Forrest was panting, he could barely see through the smoke screen in front of him. Though he could make out the shapes of various people. ‘Where’s Fenrir?’ He asked himself.
“Let’s go! We need to get out!” He heard Akuma shout.
He desperately looked around for any way of escaping. Clink. He looked down at his feet, and he saw Fenrir.
“Fenrir!” Forrest gasped, as he bent down to pick the bey up.
But, it was suddenly swept away from him. Almost like another bey hit it.
“Hm?” A familiar force chuckled. “Seems like you have a problem.”
Finally, the smoke began to clear and Forrest’s vision was returned. In front of him stood the figure of Count Night.
“Eclipse!” He shouted. “Don’t let him get his bey!”
It was a wild goose chase to get Fenrir, Forrest chasing and Eclipse knocking it further away. ‘How can I get Fenrir? I need to obtain it before he hits it again,’ Forrest thought. ‘There’.
Just ahead of the two, the end of the corridor lay in front of them and a choice of direction was needed.
“Eclipse, knock it to the left!”
Forrest dove to the left and caught Fenrir midair and landed on the floor roughly. He took a quick look at Fenrir, making sure it was alright. ‘Oh good, you’re okay Fenrir,’ he though, observing it closely. He quickly got up and launched Fenrir to block the incoming Eclipse.
“My my, this is getting quite interesting,” Count Night said. “Eclipse this way!”
Right away, Eclipse moved to follow the already running Count Night.
“Don’t let them get away! Fenrir!” Forrest shouted.
Immediately, the chase began. Eclipse in front, and Fenrir hunting him down. The light weight of Fenrir allowed him to catch up to Eclipse fairly quickly.
“Knock him down!” Forrest called.
Quick and nimble, Fenrir shot at Eclipse, hitting it directly and sending sparks flying throughout the hallway. But, due to the major weight difference Fenrir was easily sent back, flying through the air and harshly landing of the solid floor. ‘Eclipse is so much heavier,’ Forrest thought. ‘I need a way to get him unstable.’
“Now it’s my turn,” Count Night mocked. “Eclipse! Knock Fenrir around!”
Suddenly, Eclipse turned around and sent Fenrir flying back.
“Dodge it Fenrir!”
Fenrir started to move Backwards, but with a burst of energy, Eclipse slowly hit Fenrir closer and closer to Count Night.
“Yes. Eclipse, bring Fenrir to it’s proper owner,” Count Night said.
With small sparks coming off the clashing beys, Fenrir couldn’t resist the might of the Cho-Z bey.
“No! Fenrir Vanargand’s Fang!”
“Let’s be realistic Forrest, you can’t beat me in a bey battle. That first match was just a fluke, or some may say beginners luck. Now, your I mean my precious Fenrir is once again reunited with me,” He said while picking up the spinning.
A crowd of people rushing behind them indicated the end of the match between Drum and Gwyn.
“But I have this,” Forrest said, holding Eclipse up.
“It doesn’t matter, after all, I can make a GT Eclipse. Chao,” The thief said, as he covered himself with his cloak and disappeared into the crowd.
And Forrest was left to mourn.
