Episode 9: Final Four! Don’t let Up!

“Ladies and Gents!” Hanami cried. “Welcome to the semifinals! Today we have two exciting matches, First! The Demon king vs The Conquer! Then Tyler vs the Demon Queen!Today is very exciting!”

“Wooo hooo!” Yelled Tyler as he jumped in enthusiasm. “Athena, you are going down!”

“I don’t know about that” said Athena coming up from behind.

“We all know that I am going to win right?” Bell said scaring his two friends. “
Really Bell?!” Said Athena in a motherly tone, “you have got to stopped doing that.” Bell responded with a smirk and walked ahead.

“He is such a child,” thought Tyler, as he and Athena followed Bell in.

“For the first battle of the day, we have the Demon King vs. The Conquer! Who will win this exciting match up?” Said Hanami from his announcers booth.

Bell and Shawn then walk up to the stadium.

“So, think you can me take down?” Said Shawn, “You don’t stand a chance…”

“We’ll see” says Bell with a mischievous smirk on his face.

“Ready, Set” the Ref said,
3,2,1 Go Shoot!

Storm and Belial circle the outskirts of the stadium.

“Go! Attack with all your might! Belial!” Cries Bell as he flings his cape.

“Storm! Hit him harder!” Yells Shawn.

The two beys clash around the edge of the stadium and sparks fly around them.

“This kid isn’t to shabby” Thinks Bell, “But, I said I would win to battle Tyler. So loosing isn’t an option!”

“Go Dynamite Wing!” Said Bell as he points at Storm.

Belial catches up to Storm.

“That old move? It doesn’t stand a chance against me! Go Storm Breaker!” Said Shawn as his aura flared.

Storm slows down and the two beys continuously collide causing sparks to go everywhere.

“Belial, pass through this kid! Demonic Dynamite! Cries Bell.

Belial then charges forward and passes through Storm creating and explosion that sends Storm flying up.

“So either you didn’t watch my match, or you didn’t learn. Go Star Storm Crusher! Exclaims Shawn as Storm uses his special move and his avatar is released.

“Maybe I did, maybe I didn’t. Now, Belial!!!!!! Screams Bell as his cape flows in the wind.

Belial’s avatar is released as Belial circles the stadium a couple of times and then heads to the spot where Storm is aiming.

“That was useless! Your heading straight to your doom! Finish this Storm! Screams Shawn and Storm heads straight for Belial.

“Now Belial! Tactics! Demonic Grasp! Says Bell calm cool and collected.

Right when Storm was about to hit Belial, the spot where Belial was circling a demon hand shot up and grabbed Storm. Pinning it against the stadium.

“What the heck! Is that legal? Says Shawn as Bell smirks.

“Now! Burst him to pieces! Dynamite Crunch!” Screams Bell in a demonic tone!

Belial brings its claws around Storm while Storm’s layer cracks and burst. This also leaves a big gash in the stadium.

A stunning silence fills the arena.

“Uhh… right, Belial with a burst finish, Bell wins two to zero!” The ref calls in a stunned tone.

“What an impressive tactic by Bell! This really shows why he is the Demon King!” Hanami declares.

“Ha! That was fun!” Says Bell as he walks off with Belial standing behind him.

Back in the stand as Athena and Tyler are talking.

“I have never seen Bell so scary…” Whispers Athena.

“Same here, he is normally is so light hearted” Tyler response.

“Bell what have you done?” Tyler thinks as he’s and Athena head to their battle.

“Did you really have to go so hard on him?” Tyler asked as he past Bell on his way to the arena.

“He was just a appetizer, you will be the main course!” Bell said as he flipped his cape in a demonic tone and walked past Tyler.

“What’s wrong with him?” Thought Tyler as he made his way to the arena where Athena was waiting.

“Ready?” Athena asked as she bounced with bubbly enthusiasm.

“Yeah! “ Tyler responded in a distracted tone as he put his bey on his launcher.

“Ready, Set!” Said the Ref.

3,2,1 Let it Rip!

“Go! Soul Shoot!” Says Athena as Adeona does a rush shoot.

“C’mon Titan!” Says Tyler as he quickly looks away from the battle.

“Adeona! Now! Soul Sla- Tyler?” Asked Athena mid sentence.

“Adeona with an Over Finish! Score is 1-0” Says the Ref all of the sudden as Tyler looks down in surprise and picks up Titan.

Tyler is than transported to the avatar world.

“I hope Bell is okay…” says Tyler not even noticing Athena, Adeona, and Titan glaring at him.

“What was that trash?” Asked Titan as walked towards Tyler.

I know your worried about Bell, I am too.” Says Athena. “But we have a battle on our hands!”

Tyler than looks up a realizes how distracted he was.

“Your right, I got to put everything I have into this battle!” Says Tyler as he pumps his fist and everyone is sent back to the real world.

“That was a very underwhelming battle, let’s hope this next one is much more exciting!” Says Hanami

“Oh don’t worry…” Thinks Tyler as he puts
Titan on his launcher. “This will be good!”

“Ready, set!” Says the Ref

3,2,1 Go Shoot!

“Go again! Soul Shoot!” Says Athena as she shoots both hands out.

“Titan! Flame Shoot!” Yells Tyler as both beys clash in the middle.

“Wow! Watch the sparks fly off these two attack types!” Yells Hanami to the crowd.

“You can’t stop me now! Titan! Fire Claw!” Exclaims Tyles as Titan hits Adeona to the edge of the stadium.

“Adeona! Don’t let them push you around! Go Soul Sword!” Says Athena as Adeona and Titan’s special moves clash.

Both beys are slowing down as they constantly counter each other.

“Ready?” Asked Tyler in a mischievous tone. “Flame Drive!” Titan’s driver activates giving it a burst of speed. “End this!” Says Tyler’s as Titan knocks Adeona out of the stadium.

“Titan with an over finish! The score is now 1-1!”

“Looks like we are going to an exciting third match!” Says Hanami as the crowd goes wild.

“Tyler is tough,” Thinks Athena as she switches to high mode. “This should do.”

“Ready, Set!” Calls the ref.

3,2,1 Go Shoot!

“Go Infernal Shoot!” Says Athena unleashing her new move trying to stall Titan out.”

“So, you think high mode can help you?” Go Fire Claw!”

Titan pushes Adeona against the wall, activating his blade mode.

“That won’t do anything! High mode protects me! Now! Infernal Sword! Says Athena as Adeona presses down on Titan activating his driver.

The two beys clash against the wall.

“Just like last time! Go! Flame Drive!” Yells Tyler at the top of his lungs. Sending Titan spiraling in the inside of the stadium.

“Who will win this? Tyler’s Strength or Athena’s strategy?” Says Hanami as the two beys close in on each other.

“Adeona! We won’t lose!” Says Athena confidently as Adeona’s avatar appears.

“Titan,” Tyler thinks. “I won’t let you down again!”

“Go! “Screams Tyler “Flaming Sword! Says Tyler as he hits Adeona into the wall as two more swords come down from above and Titan’s avatar appears.

The two avatars clash as two flaming swords come down and hit Adeona out of the stadium. As well as shattering the edge and floor of the of the stadium. Both beys fall touching the ground almost at the same time.

“With a score of 2-1, Tyler wins!” The Ref says as the crowd goes wild!

“Well that was exciting! But the breaks in the stadium will post pone the final till tomorrow. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Back at the stadium the friends shake hands.

“That was a good battle!” Says Athena full of energy.

“Yeah! Thanks for knocking me into my senses. Now we need to focus on bring Bell back to himself.”

“Defiantly!” Says Athena confidently.

As the friends walk away Tyler mutters something about a promise.

Plot: 5/5. The finals are upon us, hooray! Also there's a tiny bit of foreshadowing and a certain midget being unnaturally suspicious, hmm...
Dialogue: 4/5. It's not bad, flows kinda well. Nice.
Characterization: 4/5. Soooo is Athena just that oblivious or is she ignoring sus Bell on purpose to focus on the battle? Tyler can't be the only one who noticed. Speaking of Bell, is it just me or did he go randomly sus without any prior explanation or even transition from his regular persona? I'm confused.
Writing: 3.5/5. There's a bit of frequent inconsistency with quote marks and stuff, and the aforementioned problem of Bell abruptly transitioning from funky kid to sus kid. That's all, I think.
Battles: 4.5/5. Okay, those in particular were hard to read, but I enjoyed the second battle. Athena's the best moral support one can have, am I right?

Final Rating: 21/25. It's not bad, but you can improve on the bits I mentioned above. Nice chapter tho, looking forward to see how the finals will play out.

Episode 10: The Finals, Broken Promise!

The night after Athena and Tyler’s intense match, Tyler is at his home laying on his bed worrying about Bell.

*Flashback to when Bell and Tyler were kids*

“Achilles!” Yelled Aiga on the TV “Z Whip!”

Valkyrie breaks.

“What an intense match between Aiga and Valt!” Cried Hanami as Bell shut off the TV.

“Aiga was really scary…” Said Tyler nervously. “I don’t ever want to be like that.”

“I agree, our Demons will fight for good!” Agreed Bell.

“Promise.” Said the friends at the same time.

*Flashback ends*

“Oh Bell, what happened?” Asked Tyler.

“I’ll tell you!” Says Bell as Belial explodes the window next to Tyler’s bed and sends him flying. Then Bell jumps through the broken window.

“I have reached the ultimate power of the demon! Anyone who doesn’t appreciate that doesn’t care about me!” Screamed Bell in a demonic tone.

“What the Achilles happened to you!” Yelled Tyler back. “You used to be so fun loving and childish! Now your just being a bully!”

Tyler’s words really angered Bell.

“C’mon Bell, snap out of it! We promised each other we wouldn’t fall into Dark Resonance!” Yells Tyler as Bell walks out.

“Whatever, that promise meant nothing. Convince me why I am wrong in the tournament.” Says Bell as he flips his cape and walks out.

“Bell!!” Screamed Tyler as he laid back on his bed to fall asleep.

The next day Tyler is on his way to the arena.

“Titan, how am I going to be able to beat Bell’s dark new power? It feels, well impossible.”

“I believe you can do it!” Says Athena skipping up the sidewalk, then face planting after she trips. “Hehe, whoops!”

“Hi Athena.” Says Tyler glumly as he explains what happened the night before.

“Wait! You said Belial actually broke your window, just like how Titan broke the stadium yesterday during our match!” Exclaimed Athena, “Then you have the same power, just not evil!”

“Maybe, but how do I beat Bell?” Asked Tyler even more depressed.

“Well someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed.” Said Athena mockingly.

“Well I’m just worried about my friend!” Yelled Tyler.

“I know.” Said Athena shyly. “I worried about Bell too, no one should be that dark, ever.”

The pair walked the rest of the way in silence.

“Sorry about back there Athena… I am just worried and stressed.” Said Tyler as he walked toward the arena. “I will free Bell.”

“Cmon Titan, we have a friend to save.” Thinks Tyler as Titan glitters red and appears behind Tyler.

“Welcome Bey Fans!” Yells Hanami “The final day of the Tournament of Guilds is upon us! The two friends pitted up against each other. Bell The Demon King vs. Tyler! The winner gets instantly installed into the guild of their choice!”

“Ready to get obliterated!” Said Bell as he put Belial on his launcher.

“Yeah right! Titan and I are claiming victory!” Said Tyler as Titan was put on his launcher.

“Ready Set!” Calls the Ref

3,2,1 Go Shoot!

“Go Venture shoot!” Cried Bell

“Go Flame shoot!” Cried Tyler

The beys clash in the middle causing sparks to fly.

“Now go! Dynamite Wing!” Yells Bell as he slashed his hand through the air and Bell hits Titan flinging it back.

“Don’t give up! Go Flame Claw! Yells Tyler as Titan hits Belial.

The two beys continue to spin around each other clash and sending sparks everywhere.

“These competitors are giving it there all! It’s going to be a close one!” Said Hanami as he stood up in his booth.

“Belial!!!!!!!” Exclaims Bell in a tone like he was possessed. “Dynamite Bomber!”

Belial’s avatar is released and Bell’s Dark aura flares.

Belial hits the ledge of the stadium and flies up coming down on Titan.

“Titan! Flame Sword!” Cried Tyler as Titan slashed Belial as Belial was crashing down sending it flying out of the stadium.

“Titan with an over finish the score is 1-0” said the Ref.

“What incredible timing! By moving Titan out of the way at the last minute Tyler was able to get a over finish!” Yells Hanami.

“Ready Set.” Says the Ref.

3,2,1 Go Shoot!

“Now time to get real! Dynamite Rush!” Says Bell as if it was nothing. Belial Started moving like crazy slamming into everything in its way.

“Titan! Dodge it!” Said Tyler a little late as Belial hit Titan against the stadium wall.

“Now Belial! Show them your presence!” Cries Bell as Belial’s avatar appears and Bell’s aura flares to life. “Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!” Belial!

The stage started to crack around the stadium.

“Dynamite Crunch! Screams Bell.

Belial then presses Titan on the edge of the stadium finally exploding that side of the stadium while bursting Titan.

“Belial with a burst finish! The score is now 2-1. Says the Ref as the crowd cheers for this intense match.

“Well! That was exciting! Let’s hope this last match is even more explosive!

Tyler is pulled to the avatar world.

“Titan, we can’t lose, but I don’t want to risk the new move, it might hurt you.” Said Tyler worried.

“Don’t worry, I know you will pull it off, but first how to get around that rush.” Replies Titan as he puts Tyler on his shoulder.

“We have got that covered!” Says Tyler excitedly.

Tyler comes back to the real world.

“Ready Set.” Says the Ref

3,2,1 Go Shoot!

“Go Dynamite Rush! Says Bell in a demonic tone.

Belial starts going crazy.

“That won’t work twice! Titan! Flame Claw, don’t stop!” Says Tyler way more calm then the other two matches.

Tyler was able to hit Belial back with its claw before the crazy movement burst Titan.

“Huh, so you found a way to counter…” Started Bell. “But you won’t be able to end me! Go Belial!!! Demonic Crunch!” Finished Demonic Bell.

Belial appeared and Bell’s aura flared like never before cracking the ground even more.

“Now! Titan don’t give in! Flame Sword to Counter!” Yelled Tyler giving it his all. “Titan, I summon you!”

Titan’s avatar released and started attacking Belial’s avatar above the stadium causing sparks to fly every where. At this point the stage was ruble and the stadium started to crack.

“Aaaaaahhhhhhh!!!” Screamed the audience as most people started running from the fire that was engulfing the stadium.

“Titan don’t give up! Flame Sword again!” Screamed Tyler as he wiped the sweat from his brow and Titan sword lit aflame above the stadium. His red and black aura flared to life.

“Belial! Dynamite Bomber!” Screamed Demonic Bell as he gasped for air.

“Both Bladers are givin- aaahgg! Fire!” Screamed Hanami.

“This match will have to be post-“ started the Ref as he started to leave.

“No it won’t.” Both bladers said in unison.

“Now, Titan! Flame Drive!” Called Tyler as Titan gained a new burst of speed.

“Belial! Don’t let him get the edge! Venture Shoot!” Screamed Demonic Bell letting Belial speed up.

At this point only the bladers were left in the fire.

“I will not give up” Thought Tyler. “I will not give in. Titan! Ablaze Burst! Screamed Tyler so loud that everyone who had just evacuated heard it.

Titan’s bey glowed a warm red colored and shot around the stadium in a crazy way that it looked like there were 3 of Titan.

“Finish it!” Yelled Tyler even louder. “Bell! Come back!”

All of the sudden when Titan crashed into Belial the stadium shattered and burst Belial. Titan remand spinning and then both bladers passed out.

That evening in the hospital.

“How dare you stay in the fire!” Yelled Tyler’s Mom as Tyler looked guiltily toward Bell’s unconscious body. “At least you’re awake. Also there are just a couple of people waiting for you and Bell outside.”

“But Bell is unconscious, he looks like he needs rest.” Said Tyler nervously.

“Well why don’t you go out by your self.” Said Tyler’s mom as Tyler got off his cot and walked into the hall.

“Good Job Tyler!” Said Athena excitedly! “You won!”

“Wait I did? I thought the match would end up a tie!” Said Tyler starting to get excited.

“Nope! You got a burst finish!” Said Valt walking up. “That means you get to chose your guild, and Bell can as well if he is not in dark resonance when he wakes up!”

“Boo!” Said Bell as he opened the door and scared the group while snickering. “Now what happened the last thing I remember is… oh no. We might be in trouble. Said Bell in a scared tone of voice throwing everyone off guard and scared.

The ending is supposed to be a cliff hanger… we’ll find out how Bell got “possessed” in the next chapter and meat Aki!

Tbf his "corrupt resonance time" was way shorter than the other characters, so it could be easier to get out of it
