Chapter 42 has made its arrival. Nothing much to say without spoiling the chapter right away.
Chapter 42: Requiem V.S Valhalla PT: 3!
{Revolution Bellerophon, Omega Orion, Immortal Warrior, and Wither Diabolos hit the stadium floor. Diabolos took the center, while the three attack types had a three-way barrage battle.}
Barry(Confident): “It’s two-on-one, Obito! Better have a good plan to beat us!”
Obito smirked, entering the mindscape with Orion.
{As Obito entered the scape, he saw Orion floating there. His Star Sceptre in his right hand, his cape seemed to almost be its own galaxy.}
Obito(Confident): “Orion, sorry for not being a good blader for a long time.”
Orion(Calm): “I’ll forgive you, but...”
Obito turned back to Orion.
Orion(Calm): “We will no longer be using any power for evil. In fact, we should start over.”
Obito looked down at his hand. He closed his fist and then closed his eyes. He took in everything: Shisui, Annie, Lilia, Cleo, his parents, Van, Keith, and Valt. He took a deep breath and exhaled. He opened his eyes.
Obito(Calm): “Ok, Orion. I'm ready.”
Obito and Orion turned to see Barry and Bellerophon in their mindscape across from them. Barry smiled and so did Obito. Their rivalry was like Asta and Yuno’s.
Obito re-entered the world, his mind opened up. He smiled and said,
Obito(Excited): “Yeah, Barry! Let’s go all out, now with our awakened sync, Orion! True Omega Sync!”
{Obito and Orion entered their awakened true sync, they were the only ones on Requiem right now to use a true sync that wasn’t dark.}
Barry entered the mindscape with Bellerophon.
Barry(Confident): “Hey, Bellerophon! Why’d you call me in?”
Bellerophon grabbed his sword, and withdrew it, pulling it and pointing the tip to Barry.
Bellerophon(Confident): “Let’s show the members of both Valhalla and Requiem that we are powerful. I think it’s time for us to evolve!”
Barry sighed, smiling
Barry: "You should have said that before the battle..."
Bellerophon: "I'm thinking about our sync evolving."
Barry smiled
Barry(Excited): "Let's do it then!"
Him and Bellerophon's sync evolved into their truest form and they connected even deeper.
Barry(Confident): “Bellerophon, we won’t fall behind anyone! True Revolution Sync!”
{Bellerophon and Orion began clashing at speeds quicker than Holy Valkyrie, even after using Holy Reboot. The rivalry and sync of the two fueled their beys.}
War(Mind): “Why am I the only one who is behind them all? They all use Sync constantly, while I’ve used it so little.”
{War felt he was the weakest on Valhalla, he had only used Sync once. Was he not strong enough? Was he holding Warrior back?}
Just then, War looked up and saw Warrior standing there, right in front of him. He grabbed his sword and struck it into the ground while calling.
Warrior(Confused): “Why are you doubting yourself?!”
War was surprised to see his avatar
War(Surprised): “Well, its cause… Well... Everyone else is giving 200% while I can barely give 100! I want to help, but I can’t!”
Warrior chuckled, and said,
Warrior(Sincere): “War, percentages are made up, but our bond isn't. If you even just try to help, you’ll be giving more effort! Now, let’s show them all how far we can go!”
War thought about what Warrior had said, and clenched his fists, looking up.
War(Confident): “I’m sure we’ll be able to catch them one day! And when that day comes, we’ll beat them all!”
War smiled, Warrior did as well and the two’s confidence overrode any fear the two of them had.
War(Confident): “Let’s take down Daishi and Diabolos! Eternal Sync!”
{War and Warrior entered their sync, as Warrior exited the triple barrage, and went straight towards Diabolos.}
Daishi(Cold): “I’ll be winning this duel, Wither Sync.”
{Daishi and Diabolos entered their sync, this 2-2 battle was now, an all-out sync battle. Two bladers entered True Sync, whilst the other two were only using their regular sync.}
{Warrior crashed straight into Diabolos. Wither was able to withstand the attack, but the Cannon Driver was near the splitting point. Warrior went to the ridge around the inner ring. The metal on Forced hit against the ring, and suddenly started a closer smalled, barrage. As War called.}
War(Sync): “Let’s go, Warrior! Forced Shoot!”
{Warrior began barraging Diabolos and hit the Cannon Driver. Diabolos and the mini-bey split. The mini-bey quickly began barraging Warrior, whilst Diabolos stayed in the center. Like a bird watching its prey.}
Daishi(Irritated): “Now that you helped me with that, let me help you with losing.”
War smirked and said.
War(Confident): “You may think your Diabolos will take Warrior down, but my Warrior will take your Diabolos down!”
{Warrior hit the mini-bey with its sword, launching it out of the stadium.}
Daishi grit his teeth, his luck with his mini-bey in these battles wasn’t very good.
Daishi(Irritated): “Take it down, Wither Slash!”
{The blades on Wither glowed black and red, as it hit Warrior, launching it into the far wall. Then, before Warrior could move, Bellerophon and Orion, slammed straight into Warrior, clicking it twice.}
Everyone(Surprised): “Huh?”
Barry(Confused): “War? Warrior? Why’re you here?”
Obito(Surprised): “I completely forgot about the battle around us.”
Daishi clenched his fist, grit his teeth, and called.
Daishi(Irritated): “I’ll burst Warrior! Diabolos, awaken!”
{Diabolos’ avatar awakened, its body made of flesh and lava, he opened his fists and roared. The avatar looked similar yet different to Delta’s Diabolos.}
War(Confident): “I’ll win this for Valhalla! Immortal Blow!”
{The swords of Immortal glowed gold, as Warrior hit Diabolos with nearly all its force, pushing it. Diabolos clicked twice while being pushed, then leans on its driver because of the pushing and bursts. Daishi stood there shocked.}
War smirked, and said,
War(Confident): “I’ve won, Daishi.”
{Warrior then rushed over to Bellerophon and Orion, which were still clashing, and rammed into both. This sent both beys flying, into the side walls. This caused both Bellerophon and Orion to burst. Both bladers gasped, whilst War said.}
War(Surprised): “How did I? Oh! Sorry, Barry, I didn’t mean for Bellerophon to get burst from Warrior as well.”
Barry laughed and said,
Barry(Happy): “It’s fine, although that power boost was amazing!”
War smiled and the two bladers high-fived. Obito and Daishi looked over, Obito wasn’t salty about losing, but Daishi was, and said.
Daishi(Irritated): “Stop this dumb, rivalry with Barry. We need to win.”
Obito could hear the irritation in Daishi’s voice.
Obito(Calm): "The rivalry pushes me forward to do better, what about you?"
{Prep Room 1}
(This is taking place at the same time as the battle.)
Lucy sat in the preparation room for Valhalla, she thought that she couldn’t help Valhalla, and was holding them back. Baki had tried to help her, but he needed to be near the stadium. It had now been a few minutes since the battle started. Then, the door opened and many members of Valhalla entered the room. Lucy looked up, surprised when Finn said.
Finn(Concerned): “Hey Lucy, you alright? You kinda just left the booth.”
Lucy looked up and didn’t say anything.
Samson(Concerned): “Lucy, if you think you aren’t helping, you are! You’re part of the War Team after all!”
Lucy sat there, she knew that, but she couldn’t help but think she was the weakest of the team there.
Percy: "How do you know it's that? She could be sad with anything."
Shane walked forward and stuck his hand out, saying.
Shane(Sincere): “Come on, Lucy. You’re an amazing blader, take pride in how powerful you are.”
Lucy stayed where she was, not moving.
Samson(sighs): "That will be harder than I thought."
They get in a circle and whisper to each other.
Finn(Whispering): "Maybe, if we battle her, she will see how good she is!"
Shane(whispering): "If we get her to stand up that is."
Samson(whispering): "I could tell her jokes to bring her spirit up."
Percy(whispering): "You're bad at jokes though..."
Samson elbows Percy.
Shane leaves the circle, and the other members watch. Lucy is still in the same position.
Shane(Confident): "It doesn't matter if you win or lose. It doesn't matter if you're good or not. What matters is that we support you."
Finn(Confident): "Yeah, and besides, you didn't get on the team for nothing."
Samson(Confident): "Yeah, you're great!"
Lucy turned to the members of Valhalla,
Lucy(Sincere): “You guys really think so?"
Everyone(Confident): "Of course!"
Lucy gets up
Lucy(Sincere): "Thanks..."
Lucy then runs through the exit of the room, much to everyone's shock.
Percy(Confused): "So, did that work?"
Lucy ran through the corridors until she arrived at the main arena. Baki notices her arrival.
Baki: "Oh, hey Lu-"
Lucy cuts him off, hugging him
Lucy(Trying not to cry): “S…sorry, I didn’t mean to…I just..”
Baki hugged her tightly
Lucy(Surprised): “Eep!”
Baki(Confused a little): "You don't have to be sorry for anything, you're fine and that's good."
The two stood there in a hug. This moment was a bit awkward, yet the two couldn’t end the moment, then Lucy looked up and said,
Lucy(Nervous): “H..hey Baki, I…I love you.”
Baki: "Me too."
She was nervous, her quick breathing was the only sound in the room. Baki stayed there, as it was helping.
Referee: “Ready and set!”
Everyone: “3! 2! 1! Go Shoot!”
{Omega Orion, Revolution Bellerophon, Immortal Warrior, and Void Diabolos hit the stadium floor. All the beys began barraging each other, all over the stadium.}
Obito(Excited): “This is our battle, Barry! Velocity Shoot!”
Barry(Excited): “I’ll be the victor, Obito! Xtreme Shoot!”
Daishi(Cold): “I’ll be the sole survivor, Void Shoot!’
War(Confident): “I’ll win this battle! Force Shoot!”
{All the bladers and beys were going all out. During this, Bellerophon hit the Cannon Driver, splitting the bey. Now, the mini-bey was barraging the beys while Diabolos was circling around.}
As the beys continued battling, the bladers (except Daishi) all called out.
Everyone(Confident): “Let’s go! True Omega/True Revolution Sync!/Eternal Sync!”
{All the bladers entered their syncs, and the bey’s avatars awakened.}
{The beys slammed into each other, no bey seemed like it would be the victor, as this happened, Diabolos’ mini-bey flew out. The current damage to each bey was as follows. Warrior had 2 clicks remaining, Orion had 3 clicks remaining, Diabolos was intact and Bellerophon had 2 clicks remaining.}
All the beys went to the outer ridge, and each of them were beginning to wobble.
{Warrior and Orion got a jolt of power, and both began heading for the middle, as the bladers called out.}
War(Sync): “I’ll win for Valhalla, go! Immortal Saber!”
Obito(Sync): “Sorry, but this win will be in Requiem’s favor! Omega Slash!”
{Both beys hit, and the force at which had hit each other, made both beys burst. This surprised both War and Obito, while Barry and Daishi looked at each other.}
Barry(Excited): “Guess it’s just you and me, let’s do our best!”
Daishi(Irritated): “Don’t talk to me like I’m your friend. I’ll be beating you now, Void Scythe!”
{Diabolos hit Bellerophon, and a purple scythe cut into Bellerophon. This made Bellerophon take a click in damage and go upwards, then Bellerophon hit the stadium floor and rushed back over to Diabolos.}
Barry(Nervous): “This is my all-or-nothing gamble! Revolution Slash!”
Daishi(Cold): “It’ll be for nothing, Barry. Void Upper."
{Bellerophon slammed into Diabolos, bursting the bey as it rushed to the outer wall, and as it hit the wall, it suffered its final click, bursting.}
Referee: “Revolution Bellerophon with a Burst Finish! Barry and War take one more point, giving them victory! Valhalla is ahead with one point! We will now move onto one-on-ones.”
{Barry and War returned to their booth, congratulated by their team. Lucy had somewhat returned to her normal now. As they celebrated, Requiem wasn’t.}
Van was still out, as he needed to fix his wounds. Obito and Daishi returned to the booth, and Kai and Gemma layed on them.
Kai(Irritated): “Why’d you go and lose!?”
Gemma(Irritated): “This is looking bad for us, Van could’ve..”
Obito punched the booth wall, and said,
Obito(Angry): “Well, Van isn’t here! I’m the leader, and I’m also trying to have fun!”
Daishi looked at Obito, and punched his shoulder, Obito looked at him.
Daishi(Pissed): “Fun? If you wanted fun, you should’ve quit Requiem and defected to Valhalla!”
{Obito was now pissed as his “teammates” none of them cared about fun, they only wanted to win. Obito then said.}
Obito(Angry): “Maybe I will!”
Obito shoved Daishi out of his way, and exited the stadium area, passing by the returning Van.
Van(Confused): “Obito, we’re you going?”
Obito(Pissed): “Nowhere.”
{Obito walked away, while Van returned to the booth, only to get the report from the team. He was now a bit angry with Obito, but now the 1-on-1s would begin. If Requiem didn’t win this battle, they’d lose the war they began.}
{Van sat there, this would be his biggest decision yet, if he sent the wrong blader up, he’d have to deal with making the wrong decision.}
Van(Confident): “I want to send Daishi or myself up, but I’m not in a condition to fight right now. And Daishi, well, has lost every battle he’s been in. I think Gemma would be the safest option.”
Gemma(Confident): “Alright, I’ll make short wo…”
Van(Nervous): “But, I’ll take the risk and send Kai up.”
{Gemma’s face read “Are you kidding me” but Kai jumped up, and logged himself to the battle, while Baki came up to represent Valhalla.}
Kai(Confident): “Easy! A defense blader is nothing.”
Baki(Confident): “That’s what you think Kai, but Dynamic Bahamut will be the victor here.”
Referee: “Ready set!”
Both: “3! 2! 1! Go Shoot!”
{Dynamic Bahamut and Forge Vulcan hit the stadium floor, Bahamut took center while Vulcan swayed around the outer ridge until Kai called.}
Kai(Confident): “We’ll burst you in one blow! Swaying Shoot!”
{Vulcan turned and began swaying quicker, and more towards the center, as it slammed into Bahamut, clicking it twice and turning Bahamut into its perfect circle mode, parrying Vulcan’s attack.}
Kai(Surprised): “Huh!? Swaying Shoot should’ve made Bahamut burst!”
Baki(Confident): “You’re Forge Vulcan is strong but, it won’t be beating Dynamic Bahamut. It’s a fact.”
{Kai grit his teeth, and as Vulcan went to the outer wall, it slammed into it, with hard enough force, to click Vulcan once, aligning the Forge Blade and Anvil Disc, creating the Ultra Impact mode. Kai realized and smiled.}
Kai(Confident): “Take it down with Blacksmith Buster!”
{Forge Vulcan slammed into Dynamic Bahamut, ignoring the perfect defense it now had, clicking it three more times, bursting the bey. Baki stood there, shocked.}
Bahamut’s parts hit the floor, as Baki stood there defeated, he still had one point to bring it all back, but how could he?
Baki grabbed his launcher and Bahamut and called
Baki(Confident): “I’ll win this!”
Kai smirked and said,
Kai(Snarky): “Yeah, you’ll totally win!”
{Baki grit his teeth, but he didn’t let the anger get to him and raised his launcher.}
Both: “3! 2! 1! Go Shoot!”
{Dynamic Bahamut and Forge Vulcan hit the stadium floor, and Bahamut took center whilst Vulcan performed a swaying pattern around the outer ridge. Most beys gripped onto the ridge and scraped against it, creating top-speed attacks, but Vulcan rarely hit the ridge.}
Kai(Snarky): “Let’s end it, Swaying Shoot!”
{Forge Vulcan turned to the center, swaying more and more, but its power and speed increased, until it slammed into Bahamut, clicking it once. Bahamut parried Vulcan away into the far wall, and the recoil from Vulcan launched it out of the stadium.}
Kai(Confused): “Huh!?”
Baki(Calm): “The force that Vulcan was coming at was powerful but I parried Vulcan, this led to Vulcan not losing much spin and power, and with the increasing power, hitting the wall would’ve either burst or knocked you out.”
Kai(Confused): “Dumb it down.”
Baki sighed and grabbed Bahamut.
Baki(Calm): "I'll be winning"
Kai smirks
Kai(Confident): "Vulcan will put an end to your Bahamut!"
both bladers prepared for the final round.
