END GAME TOURNAMENT
Saturday, April 25th, 2009
Location~ Central Park, Charles B. Stover Bench (C80 on the maps) (same place as last time, I just know the name of the thing now)

Here is a link to the page for it
http://www.centralpark2000.com/database/...tover.html

Time~ 12:00 PM-Nightfall, but we'll play it by ear so everyone gets to play. Please be there as early as you can.

Afterwards, we may go and have dinner. I know of two very good sushi places. One is Sushi A-Go-Go and it's on 63rd and Broadway, and the other is... Lilli something. It's on Broadway and 57th or something. It wouldn't be hard to find. That place is more spacious than Sushi-A-Go-Go and they have bubble tea! And other stuff.

HOW TO GET THERE

Conveniently, the Museum of Natural History is right where you need to be. Ask anyone at the stations how to get there or go here for more information on travel from various places:

http://www.amnh.org/museum/welcome/direc...?src=pv_vi

From Penn Station or Port Authority Bus Terminal, you are going to want to get on the C train subway uptown . This will take you a few stops to 81st Street- Museum of Natural History. When you get off of the subway, there is an entrance to the museum. Exit through the street exit to the left and you should be able to get out and find yourself facing the park right outside of the museum.

You can also take the 1 train to Broadway and West 79th Street. It is close, but taking the C train will get you closer to the park and the area you need to be. The 1 train will not stop at Port Authority Bus Terminal.

FROM THE MUSEUM/81ST AND CENTRAL PARK WEST

Okay, there is actually another subway exit right at the mouth of the Transverse. You might come out there instead of on the other side of the museum.

I want to warn everyone not to exit the park through the 79th Street Transverse if you are alone or only in a small group during sundown and NEVER after the sun has fallen below the horizon. Only enter this way. Our goal is to leave the park before nightfall. When it starts getting dark, the tunnels on the Transverse become dangerous. I will bring a Central Park Map with me. I will accompany people out of the park and to the C train when the tournament is over, and then the ones who want to catch dinner will stay with me and I will accompany you afterward.

You want to move left from the subway station until you hit 81st street. From there, you will turn right to enter the 79th Street Transverse. Stay on the left side! It is a road. There are cars traveling along the Transverse. The Transverse comes off of 81st street on the North side of the Museum. Keep walking. You will pass through a couple of tunnels. There is one particularly rocky and natural looking tunnel with pipes hanging from the ceiling. There will be an entrance to the park immediately after this tunnel to the left. Go up the stairs, then go left towards the castle and walk to the top of the castle via the main stairway.

Here you can see a diagram I have made of the castle. After you get to the top of the stairs, turn left and go down the other set of stairs there. You will encounter an area with green grassy areas and benches on either side. Walk forward, and you will see a split path. Go straight ahead to the stairs that go down around a garden of greenery, and you will be at the tournament location, which overlooks the Shakespeare Garden. There's a big stone bench with spirals on either side, and the stone bench sits atop a slightly raised oval-shaped area. It reads "Charles B. Stover". If I'm not there and nobody else is there, call my cell phone. Here are pictures of the bench in the tournament area so you know what I'm talking about.

Okay, finally.

RULES

Bring a stadium if you want to. We don't have Tornado Balance or Tornado Balance Type S. I'll be bringing MFB Attack and Beystadium Wide Square Type.
Park Rules: Just don't bring any amplified sound devices like boom boxes and we should be fine. We really don't have enough people to warrant obtaining a permit I don't think, but we have a lot more this time around so we may be asked to move.

Plastic format.

MFBs are welcome. If enough of us actually have MFB, we can have a tournament with them too.

We will be using all standard WBO Rules. Round robin, 3-point Beybattle.

My bad. I meant a heads up in general since he's prolly not on the forums as much. I'll tell him about it.
what state or country is this located becuase i will be in the airforce bootcamp probably from middle april to may20 but put me down for this tournament just in case and i will bring my best game if i make it there.
It's in New York City in the United States of America.
i might come and also does anyone got a extra ripcord cuz i have only a small short one.oh yeah for the plastic blades i have a thunder rumbler stadium.should i bring it?i got three mfbs but one base.
Thunder Rumbler Stadium isn't accepted by the WBO Rules. You could bring it but you couldn't battle for beypoints in it so it probably wouldn't be very useful. Unless you want multi-way battles which aren't covered by the WBO anyways........
And I'm sure someone can lend you a ripcord.

Thunder Rumblers are Hasbro manufactured. Hasbro stadiums have been declared illegal as per WBO rules.

Crafty Rocky... >_> swift like the Bey.
i know there illegal just if we dont have enough plastic stadiums.and we can use it to practice.instead of throwing it out i wrather use it for something good.and i dont got a plastic launcher but 1 plastic blade made of spare parts in my house.

By this time, I'll have six MFB attack stadiums, one Tornado Balance, and one Tornado Balance Type S. We don't have to worry about stadiums.

And if my MOJ order comes in, I'll have 10 other stadiums + 4 additional attack stadiums

Smithicide btw where did you get it?
and I'd love to come but I can't
ok and that is a lot of stadiums.
Can I just say that the situation in NY is getting really old? Everyone talking about how much they wish Beyblade would come back, and now that it's back you're only permitting Beyblades pre-2004? It's lame. Please don't make me take actions to outright force you guys into moving on.

I'm in agreement; this is one of the reasons why I'm going to stock MFBs. Uncertain

Seeing as it's Evan's last tournament and there's not really enough time to create an decent MFB collection, my opinion would be leave this one as plastic.

After End Game, maybe making faces exclusive to MFBs would make for a better incentive. After all, Plastic = bitbeasts; MFB = faces. Makes sense to me. It'd also cut back on the amount of NY tournaments because now we'll have to wait to get MFB's.
I have no plans to force MFB on this event, it's just sort of a warning or "suggestion" Wink

If things don't change, I think this might be a really decent alternative to what else were planning

I think it would be a nice way of saying the WBO still supports Beyblading as a whole, in that you can still gain rank with any style, but the WBO's main focus is moving forward and supporting Takara-Tomy's effort to revive Beyblading.
The reason for running plastic tournaments is that not everyone here has the HMS and not many of us have MFB. Up until now, it would have been a Libra fest anyway. Where is the fun in that? I want MFB tournaments too, but it hasn't really been much of an option for us up until this point. I'm sorry if you think it's been a bad thing.

I'm in support of MFB tournaments for sure.

We could always request to have Libra added to the restricted list.
Yeah, and then Virgo is the new Libra
and if we ban that, then there's a 50/50 win chance on just about anything because everything gets KOed instantly. I know this because I tested it. If you want to look at the test sheets, you can refer to my blog.

Honestly if everyone is actually willing to bring MFB, we can have an MFB tournament. I'm in support of that. Let's do it.
I know not everyone has MFB, which is why I'm saying this now. Don't feel pressured to add MFB to this event.
i want to start MFB tourneys too.i have 3 mfbs and i want to use them in a match.i got pegasis, leone, and sagittario
I just kind of feel like you think I've done the wrong thing by having plastic tournaments up until this point

I never said that.
