About the WBO

Hey Everyone!

We're coming back at ya with another tournament! We'll be at Brooklyn Zoo NY (Parkour Gym).

Our current tournament date is Saturday, May 17th, 2025 at Brooklyn Zoo NY for another Beyblade X Format tournament!

PLEASE READ!!!

This is a WBO Beyblade X event using the 3on3 Match Type for both the First Stage (5 points) and Final Stage (7 points) of this Tourney. The stadium used will be the Takara Tomy Beyblade X stadium. Bringing your own Beyblade deck is highly recommended. Please refer to the rulebook link below to review the game play rules for the event:

https://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Beyblade-X-Rules

Please be advised that this tournament will make use of the following Ranked Clauses in addition to, or in place of, rules listed in the Format Rulebook:

Decorated Parts Prohibition
Bladers may not use parts that have been decorated in the following ways for this Tournament:
 • Parts that have been painted/clear-coated unofficially.

 • Parts that have been decorated with unofficial/homemade stickers.

Out-of-Bounds Ruled as Over Finish
 • Any Beyblade that goes out-of-bounds in this Tournament will be considered knocked-out instead. If a Beyblade is knocked-out in this manner, it will count as an Over Finish.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

1. Tournament Registration begins at 1:30 PM.

Please plan to arrive at our meetup location before registration starts. The later you arrive, the longer it will take to start the tournament.

2. The Tournament begins at 2:00pm.

You will not be able to register after 2:00pm. Even if you are joined to this tournament on this thread, if you are not registered by 2:00pm or arrive after 2:00pm we will be unable to fit you into the bracket.

Tournament System:

Depending on the number of participants we will use one of the following systems to run the first stage of this tournament:

Group Round Robin (12–16 Players)
Bladers are split into two evenly-sized groups and play against every other blader in their group. The top two players from each group advance to the final stage using Single Elimination.

Swiss (17 - 32 Players):
Bladers play 5 rounds. After the first round, bladers are paired based on their match history. Bladers with the highest records face each other, then the second-highest, etc. The top eight players advance to the final stage.

Double Elimination (34-120 Players):
In Double Elimination, there are two brackets: the Winners Bracket and Losers Bracket. After losing once, Bladers are sent to the Losers Bracket. If they lose for a second time, they are eliminated from the event.

Once both brackets have been completed, the top eight players (top four from the Winners Bracket, top four from the Losers Bracket) advance to the final stage using Single Elimination (featuring any one Match Type found here).

Location:

The tournament will take place at Broolyn Zoo NY. The address is:

Brooklyn Zoo NY
230 Bogart St,
Brooklyn, NY 11206

Please Arrive On Time

Please be sure to arrive ON TIME for this tournament. We will start registration at 1:30 PM and will begin the tournament at approximately 2:00PM. If you think you're going to run a bit late, please let me know via a post through this thread or a PM and I'll see what I can do!

Hi LazerBeamz,

I've made your cap 60 as requested.

Please note that you are linking to a deprecated version of the Beyblade X Rulebook, and that Metal Needle is by default banned now. Here is a link to the current rule book, now found directly on-site.

If you don't mind linking to that book and revising the optional rules in accordance with this new rule book, that would be great. I'm assuming you're using a template rather than actually referring to the old rule book anymore, but it is important to keep your post as up-to-date and relevant as possible! Finally, your proposal suggests there is a waiver for participants to sign, but maybe you don't use that anymore? I don't see a link anywhere, at least.

Thanks,
Dan

Hi Dan,

Thanks for the notes! You are correct. I’ve been using a template. I’ve gone ahead and linked the current rulebook and removed the Metal Needle Clause. The waiver gets generated by our venue after the tournament is posted. I’ll be updating the link to the waiver as soon as I have it.
