Early in summer 2008 there were early promo images released for MFB, containing Beyblades referenced as Pegasis, Cheiron (renamed Sagitarrio), Leo (renamed Leone), Bull, Cancer and Quetzalcoatl. The Beyblade referenced as Cancer was released as Quetzalcoatl, meaning that the names were switched around. But this left me wondering whatever happened to Cancer? (I can confirm that neither Gemeos, Escorpio or Capricorne are Cancer.)

Then, I saw this image from the recent Corocoro and it struck me as familiar.

This seems to be confirmation that they still plan to produce this "Cancer" Beyblade in this form; it was simply delayed extensively.

A blue and white design for cancers face.... I hope its 100WF, then it would be ultimate destwuction ^^. I wonder if takara tomy was abandoning this and replacing it with a stamania beyblade(libra) to strengthen the stamania section due to that saggitaro was pretty bad. The wheel pretty much wrecked that beyblade. So they released libra, it became uber, also released virgo, made stamania pretty powerful, but with d125 it became too powerful. They had to strengthen attack types to beat stamania types(since now no one is seeming to defeat me when I use my LibraD125S combo) And this might be the solution they made up. Still, if my hypothesis is true, the defence uber beyblade would be... horrifying.

Cancer is the one pictured with a yellow face. The blue/white is L Drago.

Oh, sorry. I thought the L drago face looked pretty like a pincher sticking out seeing only half of the picture. I didn't really notice the wheel...

Still, this is great. I wasn't around in the summer so I had no idea they had plans to release Cancer. I can't wait.

Quetzalcoatl did look like one where it wasn't so the same thing may be possible for it as well, however, if not it may be interesting...

Hm, the actual 'Quetzalcoatl' Wheel always obviously looked like a crab to me.

So, I do not know about TAKARA-TOMY releasing that Wheel under "Cancer" ...

Well I never payed much attention to the horoscopes until the lasts few years so I only learnt recently.

I'm liking the wing design it. I'm not too confident in its attack based off of the look though.

But the wings do kinda bounce out rather than dip in if that makes sense....and there are no notches or anything to make have a good attack. It's incredibly round which is more of a defense thing (less friction).......

I still want it to be Upper Attack though. XD

EDIT: Actually, there are a few notches....but it still has a kinda shield look about it.

The way its shaped makes it look more like a survival or/and defense blade. But it could be a good upper attack blade depending on the height of the blade and the angle of the wing on the wheel.

and i dont think takara-tomy should call it 'cancer'. lol but maybe crab would be better?

thats the name of the sign but it may be changed (EG Saggaritus (i cant spell that for chocolate) was changed to Chirion however it might not cause its in japan
it makes me think of supermen for some reason
