Which one is better
Also my friend wants me too trade him my hades kerbecs bd145ds for his variares 145wb

This question belongs in the Purchase Consultation thread, I believe.

(EDIT: Of course, if you were deciding on which to buy, at least.)

But to answer your question, Hasbro's Variares is apparently horrible. Gravity Destroyer will be your best choice. It is amazing in Attack customs. Also, it comes with Top Tier parts; WD & AD145.

And, nononononono. Do not trade. Hades Kerbecs is far better than Hasbro's Variares, IIRC.
out of the parts i have can u please make a as strong attack only bey, a as strong defense only bey and a as strong stamina only bey and a as good as can be balance bey with the parts i have below and not used in the other combos you the person replying has used already unless theres multiples of the same part (i.e. a defense with aries and a balance with the other aries energy ring but not 2 different beys with the same part like a defense useing leone but having to use the same leone in a balance or something combo when i only have 1 of it available)

I just battled flame libra t125fs vs scythe gemios ch120eds
In 145 mode gemios has more attack than in 120
In 120 gemios has more stamina than 145

I'm kinda jumping in here, but if you only have one Earth wheel I'd recommend you use it for Stamina. Even though the defense combo he recommended used to be top tier, it can't really hold up to modern attackers that well (especially without a metal face). I would suggest you stick with that stamina type for tournaments, occasionally falling back on Spiral if they pull out their own attack type, and just pray you don't run into someone using attackers.

Did that make sense? If not I'll try to explain myself better.

Hah, so am I. IIRC, Earth lasted longer as a Stamina type compared to being listed under the Defensive competitive combos section. Utilizing this information, it would only seem logical to use the longer lasting "version" of Earth as opposed to using an outclassed Defense type.

Like what Inguilt said, if you run into Attack users, you're basically screwed. But then again, there's the occasional LED Sight to the eye trick. i'm kidding here.

Hey there. Sorry to jump in so fast but I'm in a hurry. I need to find a bey that can defeat L-Drago Destructor/Destroy. It has to have the twisted/basalt metal wheel. i don't care about the other parts as long as the fusion wheel is basalt/twisted.

LOL

Angelusbichi, the customs I'd recommend are basically the same as Mr.MyStery's:

**ATTACK**
Spiral ____ 90 (RF/R2F)
Ray ____ 100 (RF/R2F)

Ray is less picky about clear wheels than Spiral. Spiral kind of needs specific clear wheels to perform well since typically clear wheels block its slopes and hinder its attack potential. Some of the best clear wheels for Spiral are Pisces and Horogium/Tempo since they're really flat around the edges, but barring those you want something three-sided to help with weight distribution. Your best option there is Striker, but since you're already using it I'd say you might try Leone. It's not a great option, but it's at least three-sided. For Ray you're a bit better off since you don't have to worry as much about contact points being blocked, so it comes down to personal preference. Again, I'd recommend Striker first, but barring that I think Leone might be best.

I'd recommend looking at getting some 4D attackers like VariAres or Flash, but barring that you should look into getting Metal Faces for these combos. Also, you should try to get Twisted Tempo both so that you have Twisted (it's probably the best Hasbro wheel) and so you get Tempo for use on Spiral.

For super fun crazy attack times, try to get Hades Kerbecs so you can make Hades Kerbecs H145R2F. It's a custom that was tossed around a long time ago that actually performs well without a metal face, though its recoil is horrendous. I'm still a fan of the custom, though.

**DEFENSE**
Nothing

I really can't recommend you try defense with your parts for tournament use since all your wheels are so very light and you don't even have metal faces. If you simply must have a defensive bey for some reason, the best options you have are Earth Gasher GB145CS and Earth Gasher C145CS (the second one is SUPER IFFY since low tracks aren't being used anymore, but I still love C145 regardless).

Definitely try to get Twisted Tempo and, if possible, Hades Kerbecs. Twisted is heavy enough to stand a chance defensively even without a metal face, and BD145 (from Hades) is one of the absolute best defensive tracks available.

**STAMINA**
Earth Gasher AD145(WD/SD)

This is bar none your best bet stamina-wise. If you can get it, Hades Kerbecs BD145WD is another great option available to Hasbro bladers.

**BALANCE**
Nothing

There really isn't much you can do here since Balance customs are really hard to do properly. That said, I can come up with a few customs that would qualify as balance, but they aren't really that good:

Earth Gasher R145R2F (terrible anti-attack)
Flame Gasher 90SF (terrible, horrible attack/stamina hybrid)
Earth Gasher CH120CS (goofy stamina/defense hybrid with a height change gimmick)

Again, these three customs suck, though they'd be fun to goof around with.

I hope this helps!

o ok so leone 4 a spiral combo what energy ring would u use 4 the ray combo? i cant get 4d beys hasbro is like a set away from that and that set just came out and im stuck at the metal masters set hasbro wise i got twisted tempo but since i dont have kerbecs or any of the good parts 2 fix that stupid staircase im not useing it really i would love 2 get some metal facebolts care 2 give me 1? lol i was not going to use them 4 tournaments just in my unboxing vids and ur doing the same as the other person did, i only have 1 gasher energy ring and 4 balance so ur saying basicly or 1 could say that ur saying just use a stock balance type bey? and it sorta helped thanks
(Sep. 28, 2012  6:00 AM)angelusbichi Wrote: i got twisted tempo but since i dont have kerbecs or any of the good parts 2 fix that stupid staircase im not useing it

this is a poor, poor reason to not use twisted. sure, the staircase makes it imbalanced, but there is a reason why twisted was a top tier defense wheel and still a top tier anti-attack wheel even without having it's staircase "fixed". twisted's sheer weight and shape, coupled with it's ability to grind down spin of the opponent makes it worthy of being a great defense wheel: one that easily outclasses earth. you should just use twisted in your defense combo, and forget about trying to fix it.

o ok how about i wont ever go to a tourament (more then likely) so it doesnt matter if i use it or not and i just wanted a good attack, defense, stamina and balance type bey to test new beys in the unboxing vids i do so they dont need to b the best just decent i do have some beys i would use if i ever went to a tournament but as i said i more then likely wont go to 1
use the combo's ingulit gave you, except use Twister Pegasis II GB145 CS for defense, and you can also make the proven anti-attack combo Twisted Tempo R145 RF/R^2F as a balance type. that is the only decent balance type combo you can make with your parts, so if you only want to use each part once you'll have to choose between having either a defense or a balance, but not both.

p.s. learn to use periods. they make you sound more intelligent and your posts more reader friendly =)

in spite of that, we have all tried to help you and your repeated requests for more combos even after we have given you perfectly functional ones already. to add on to this, you now give abra and i attitude for giving you good combos in purely good natured advice. basalt cancer AD 145 WD is a perfectly viable stamina type.

Then what kind of combos do you want? We already listed the best possible combo's for you.
There are loads of Scythe kronos combos, but what one is good for defence/stamina?
There are also loads of Beat Lynx combos, but which one is good for defence and some stamina?
The one for scythe kronos i'm using is Scythe Kronos 100WD
The one for beat lynx is Beat Lynx AD145W2D, both of them were beaten by (MF) Flame Bull 85SD
