NorCal Rankings & League
This tournament will be counted for the Norcal Rankings & League!
Northern California Organizers are teaming up to bring local organized play to the next level! We will have seasonal rankings. While local ranking will be determined and inputted into a custom spreadsheet, ranked tournaments will also still count for the WBO Leaderboard on challonge. The WBO Challonge leaderboard is separate from the NorCal League leaderboard. Some events will be casual tournaments that are affiliated or promoted by the league but will not count towards league rankings, but still may count for WBO Leaderboard.
Join us for our second official season this spring from April to June.
Climb those rankings and prove you are the very best in NorCal!
Our NorCal League discord is the best way to join our community and hear about upcoming tournaments all over NorCal! https://discord.gg/jfBveyQ7A6

Become an Official WBO and NorCal League Judge!
We have seen an explosive growth in our local beyblade community. Tournaments are popping up all over the region, however we need more judges to run more high quality events. Not only would becoming a judge help us to continue to grow our community, Judges also get certain perks. This is a big responsibility as you would hold a leadership role in our community and this is taken very seriously.
If you would like to become a WBO Official Judge follow the link or click the button below to check out the process. To be a NorCal League Judge you must first pass the WBO test and be approved by NorCal Organized Play by reaching out on NorCal League Discord.

Optional Rules for WBO Ranked
Optional Rules in Affect
Please be advised that this tournament will make use of the following Optional Rules in addition to, or in place of, rules listed in the Format Rulebook:
Loser selects position after battle
- After each battle within a set, the loser of the previous battle chooses their launch position
- In a WBO deck match, this does not apply if the next battle is a replay.
- First Stage Matches are played to 5 points for this Tournament.
- When you score an Xtreme finish or over finish against a Bey that did not touch your Bey during the battle, it is considered an own finish instead.
- When you score an own finish, you receive 1 point. Then, the battle is replayed.
- Own Finish ruling will only be used for the group stage but not in the final stage.
Best of 3 (Bo3) Match Type
How to Win
Win X number of “Sets” to win the Match.
WBO Standard: 3on3 Match Type. “Set” won with 4 points achieved over X Battles. Win 2 out of 3 “Sets” for Match Win.
Each Set will use 3on3 Match Type
Rules
Beyblade Selection
Each player selects their Beyblade(s) for the duration of the Match.
Definition: “Battle”, “Set”, and “Match”
A Battle in Bo3 is 2 Beyblades Battling in the stadium until a Win Condition is met, earning the winner X number of points.
A Set in Bo3 is won by earning X number of points over as many Battles as necessary.
A Match in Bo3 is won by winning 2 unique Sets.
Set 1: Stadium Side Selection
Bladers will be stationed across from each other on the Left and Right sides of the BeyStadium. Which side each Blader assumes must be decided by fair means (ex. Judge’s coin flip/dice roll, or rock-paper-scissors), with the winner getting to pick their preferred side for Set 1. Set 1 is then played until the required amount of points have been earned throughout the Battles.
Set 2: Stadium Side Re-selection
After completing the first Set, the losing Blader will have the chance to decide which side of the stadium they would like to assume for Set 2 (Left or Right side). Set 2 is then played until the required amount of points have been earned throughout the Battles.
Set 3: Tie-Break Stadium Side Reselection
If neither Blader has won 2 Sets by the end of Set 2, a third and final Set is required to break the tie and win the Match. Repeat side-reselection process.
