About the WBO
Format Notes:
We play 3 on 3, but we allow for each blader to bring 4 beys. Once both bladers have presented their list of 4 beys with unique parts, they select 3 of the 4 and place them in order, while placing the 4th off to the side. If after all 3 beys have faced off a winner has not been declared, both players may reshuffle the order and they can switch the 4th bey in if they so chose.
We play each round as a first to 7 points with a few optional rules in play, and one minor deckbuilding restriction.
Optional Rules:
Out-of-Bounds Over Finish: If a bey leaves the stadium through the launch area and becomes out-of-play, instead of voiding the battle, it will be considered as scoring an over finish.
Own Finish Variation: If a blader commits two launch errors with the same bey in the same set, that battle is considered a spin finish, and the opposing player will awarded one point. Both players will then move on to their next beys.
Deckbuilding Restriction:
If your deck list includes the blade Wizard Rod / Wand Wizard, Your opponents will receive 2 points at the start of the match.
Tournament Structure & Prizing:
Rounds will be run as Swiss +1, after which we will cut to a top 8 as single elimination.
Prizes will be 100% of the entry fees given out as store credit with the following distribution
1st: 40% of the pool
2nd: 30% of the pool
3rd & 4th: 15% of the pool
