Please be sure to arrive ON TIME for this tournament. We will finish registration at 12:00PM and will begin the tournament shortly after. If you think you're going to be a little bit late, let me know and we may be able to work something out. Thank you!

If you can make it, please hit the blue JOIN TOURNAMENT button at the top of this page! See you all there!

No Bey? No Prob!
Don't have any Beyblades from this new series? No problem! We would be happy to lend a Beyblade and launcher to you to use for the duration of the event!

Location
We'll be playing in the east veranda shelter at the High Park Nature Centre. The east veranda is the side without the accessibility ramp. If you're coming to High Park via the Bloor St W entrance, just follow that road down on the right side and you'll see the large building/shelter on the left hand side before you reach the tennis courts. If you have any questions about the location, please post here!

Here are some pictures showing the route you should take to arrive at the tournament location if you are entering the park from the Bloor St W. entrance.

Side Notes
Please be aware of your belongings: We'd advise users to please, please look after your stuff. While yes this is a Beyblade tournament and we're not suggesting that any of us would attempt to take each other's stuff it is still happening at a public venue where other people (who may not be so friendly) are going to be present as well. Of course, if you see a personal belonging lying around bring it up any of the judges so we can return it to the right person. Your co-operation is appreciated!

All players must arrive on-time: If you do not arrive at the scheduled start time, you risk being excluded from the tournament. The software we use to run our events–Challonge–does not allow us to add in extra participants once the tournament has started.

If you know in advance that you will be late, please post in this thread or contact someone at the event and depending on the circumstances we can perhaps still include you if we know you will arrive soon.

Tournaments will typically take a few hours to complete: All players in our tournaments have the opportunity to play multiple matches before potentially being eliminated from the tournament. We value the opportunity for players to have meaningful tournament matches and to gain points in our rankings, and like to stay away from the harshness inherent to Single Elimination style events for the first stage of our tournaments. As a result, our tournaments do take a few hours to complete.

The total time depends on the number of participants. Depending on how many players we have, we play using either Round Robin, Block Round Robin, Swiss Format, or Double Elimination. In each case, please note that the tournament will take at least two hours to complete after registration has finished and the first tournament matches have begun. The more participants we have, the longer it may take, but this cannot be determined until the day of the event. Thanks for your understanding!

All questions for this tournament may be asked in this thread!

Thanks to everyone who came out today! It was a surprisingly nice day out. Here are our top four:

    1st: OldSchool™
    2nd: Justin TC
    3rd: Cam77
    4th: Kei

Congratulations especially to Justin TC for doing so well in what I believe was his second tournament. And big thank you as always to OldSchool™ (AKA Mr. Flawless) for picking me up so I could carry more stadiums for free play and for bringing the pylons, barriers, mats, and table. Hope to see you all at Anime North in a few weeks on May 25th (Metal Fight Limited Format) and 26th (Burst Format)! Details here:

Will let you know if I come across it ... Hope someone finds it. :(
Had loads of fun, even with me coughing and wheezing all day. Apologies to everyone for that. I was fine last night, felt sick this morning.
I would have taken a sick day but as Kei said, I had all the pylons and barriers at my place xD

I am unbefitting of the title of Mr. Flawless haha
See you all at Anime North in 2 weeks!

Lastly, @[Justin TC], rival mode initiated Wink
I’m also missing my zero disc for my emperor forneus if found please PM me.
Anyone gonna make the thread anytime soon?
Hey @[1234beyblade], just a reminder that the spreadsheet for this event is overdue. Could you complete that and post it here as soon as possible? Thank you!

So two things to note about this tournament,

first of all, the big issue, we started the tourney normally and all but during about the middle of R3 we found a pretty big problem in 2 peoples beyblades from R1 matches, one of them was mine with Phoenix_Ransom, and the other I cannot recall, but the point is an illegal part was used (worn Ultimate Reboot I think) so we decided to redo the matches which ended up with both different results. I edited the bracket because it let me, giving myself and the other blader that had to redo the match a victory, but little did I know the whole bracket ahead of that that's been done (up to R3) was unchanged. I'm sure you can already tell where that's leading towards. Unfair match ups for the whole rest of the tourney because the match ups have been determined from the first input of R1 and R2 (Not really sure why I didn't just redo the tourney but with the new R1 input... but hey lol... none of us thought of doing that uwu). Kei has proposed of only processing the first round, which I kind of think is unfair to only process 1 round, personally I think the whole tourney should be voided for point rewards and only credits should be given out.

Second, but, small problem is I forgot to add "3rd place match" to the finals owo.
The results of this tournament have now been processed into the rankings. Due to the issues described above we only processed the first round.
