MATCH TYPES: 3on3

First Stage AND Final Stage – 3on3 Match Type
This match type involves a simple battle of each Blader selecting three (3) X Beyblades to use for the duration of a given Match. We will be using default point rules, and first to five (5) points in prelims, seven (7) in finals, wins!

LEGAL BEYBLADES (BEYBLADE X FORMAT)

This is a BEYBLADE X Format event. Please refer to the rulebook link below to review the game play rules for the event:

Please be advised that this tournament will make use of the following Ranked Clauses in addition to, or in place of, rules listed in the Format Rulebook:

Banlist Variation: Metal Needle Bit Ban
 • The following Bit may not be used in this tournament: Metal Needle
First Stage Points:
 • First Stage Matches are played to 5 points for this Tournament.
Alternative Launching Rule: Continuous Side Switching
 • Bladers will be stationed across from each other on the Left and Right sides of the BeyStadium. Which side each Blader assumes must be decided by fair means (ex. Judge’s coin flip/dice roll, or rock-paper-scissors), with the winner getting to pick their starting side. This orientation is inverted after each subsequent Battle.
After a few inquiries, please see below some clarifications on how rules will be managed at this event:
 • This will be a regular 3on3 Match Type event, no Bo3.
 • 3-2-1 Go Shoot, launching on Shoot. If there is a noticeable early or late launch, the judge may call a relaunch. Obvious mid-air hits before the beyblades hit the arena floor may be called for relaunch.
 • Do not touch the beystadium or beyblades until the judge calls the match.
 • Once a blader selects their beyblades and launchers and presents them to the judge, no changes can be made.
 • Out of Bounds finish (out the top of the stadium or through the shroud in an area that is not a pocket) will be a relaunch of same beys.
 • If a launcher malfunctions/jams/is noticeably underpowered, a relaunch can be called. This must be called quickly. Judges may deny the request if they feel it is invalid.
 • If a Beyblade is launched directly into a pocket, or lands on the shroud, instead of the Launch Area, one relaunch is permitted. Subsequent same launches will be considered an Own Finish, with 1 point awarded to the opponent, and then replay the same beys.
 • Judges are encouraged to call contact when it occurs. No-contact spinouts, bursts, knockouts and extremes will be considered an Own Finish, with 1 point awarded to the opponent, and then replay the same beys.
 • Ratchet color-swapping is permitted, as long as it is an identical substitute.
 • Painted parts are permitted in accordance with WBO standard: the coat must be light, non-textured, and not affect the Beyblade's performance. Paint cannot be added in places where the blade connects to other parts.
 • If a knockout and a burst happen at the same time, the knocked out beyblade is the winner.
 • If a knockout and an Xtreme occur at the same time, it is a draw and you move on to the next beyblades.
If you disagree with a judges opinion, you may escalate to Brynessa or ZestyPhresh. If you still disagree, you may follow WBO's process for submission within 7 days of the tournament.

SWISS Tournament - Split into Groups
This will be a Swiss tournament, played to 6 rounds. The participants will be split into 4 groups and assigned more narrow time slots, which will be provided at check-in.

Hello. I was wondering what the requirements are for the regional qualifiers on Sunday, January 11. I'm currently 9th in the Texas ranking. Am I eligible to compete in the regional qualifiers? Also, what happens if you win regional qualifiers? Does it eventually lead to a national tournament? Thank you for your time.

Are you in the Texas Circuit Discord? If you are not, I can add you. It's easier to ask questions there, then on here. But to do your own research yo find more information please go to https://www.szassegames.com/event-detail...e_vignette.

I am working with regions who want to participate; regional qualifiers will be entered into the Friday night tournament of this weekend as our "nationals". So far we have Indiana and Texas (San Antonio) who will be hosting these in November.
We have our FIRST 1st place regional tournament winner confirmed and coming to Texas! Look forward to seeing IronDestroy3r from Florida!
As an update, after discussion with WBO staff, this SWISS Tournament will be split into groups. The tournament will be played to 6 rounds. The participants will be split into 4 groups, with top 4 from each advancing, and assigned more narrow time slots, which will be provided at check-in.
I have added to this post to clarify some of the frequent points of difference between events. If there is anything else specific that you would like to know in advance, please let me know!
Hi! I'm from Toronto, so quite a distance. Is there any plans to film this for either Youtube or Twitch?

If we end up being able to stream, it will be here https://www.youtube.com/@SzasseGames  A bit up in the air since we aren't certain how good the internet will be in the hotel, this is the first time we've been set up in a venue like this.

We will have a drop box set up for footage after and will work on uploading videos in the weeks following the event!
Am I allowed to use a custom launcher grip in this event?
(Dec. 29, 2024  3:54 AM)DragonX1111 Wrote: Am I allowed to use a custom launcher grip in this event?

Yes, as long as they are in compliance with not blocking your opponents half of the arena, and do not disrupt any parts of the vet and launcher. Official WBO ruling on this can be found at this November post (thanks Shindog for the location reminder)!
