Beyblade Random Thoughts
Oh, I forgot that existed, sorry.
Just got my Phantom Orion in. Extra-heavy Phantom and a 7 min mold B : D! It spun 6:54 and I accidentally launched it on the tip's edge, which cuts the spin time a bit, so I can say it's a 7 minute mold.
No surprise that Phantom Orion is my favorite MFB out there despite my love for Attack-Stamina hybrids.

Lucky I can't wait to find a Hyperblades Phantom Orion... Hopefully the B is a good mold.
Even though the Balros from both USDX sets are the same, I really cannot tell if there's something I'm supposed to look for on the Attack & Balance Type's Balro. (Same for the face)

What do you mean "look for" ?

BBG-25, I can see that face with all the stuff. BBG-24, I don't even know if I'm supposed to see a face, or something else. (Of course I still see the face at the bottom, but yeah.)
The "star" shape part is an eye, on the top, and the Crystal Wheel slot is its second eye, iirc ..
You can't really tell; in fact, I got confused with those two nostrils (?) for its eyes, or whatever it is.
I never liked how the stickers differentiated between the two .. I would have wanted the star shaped eye for the Black one. :C

Oh. Derp...
I guess I wasn't looking carefully enough.
I just realized that Mercury Anubius Brave ver. price went up .. o-o.
I remember it used to be like $17 (when I bought it), and now most of them are $45+ ..
Either the price went up, or I just got a good deal and didn't notice the other sellers' one.

So a few minutes ago I was messing with combos trying to make something new-ish that could work well against MSF-H Revizer Dragooon BD145RDF, and I randomly came up with this combo:
L-Drago Guardian (Absorb Mode) SA165BWD
I chose LDG because it's heavy, has spin-equalizing abilities, and because I don't have another Dragooon. I picked SA165 because of its width and potential Stamina use, and I used BWD because of the tilt, and just because I was having trouble finding something to use it for (BB-10).
So I do a few rounds with the two Beys, both trying weak launching and normally launching RDF, and LDG did quite well against RD as long as I didn't end up launching in a way that make BWD tilt (so just an upright launch).
After that, I tried out Duo Cancer B: D and Phantom Cancer AD145(no W145 )WD, and LDG did really poorly against them. What's up with that? Is it because RDF just has piss-poor Stamina-aspects?

... Aaaand the time for the Face Contest is over.
I'm scared of what appeared on the last few hours. Actually, now that I compared, my Crystal wheel is awful...
'key gotta stop whinning
That and saying Dark Wolf could be a good choice for a purchase.

I gave up on entering after I saw a few, I can't draw for heck. I had an idea for a random booster that was twice the normal size with important parts that needed a re-release and most of the beys being plastic throwbacks, the whole thing done Crystal Up instead of the usual Chrome Up to reference plastics. I planned on a track that was like BK's Base and SP in terms of shape, with smaller spikes and free-spinning, and a flatter D tip, which would basically be a change tip like BK has. Hadn't fully settled on the wheel but I was thinking of going with a more Pegasis-like reasonably balanced design, with each single "head" having three-four different types of attack.
Still, there were a lot of great ideas and entries. Can't wait to see who wins, but I'm sure they'll deserve it.

... Man, if you look to my entry, you'll notice we shared LOTS of ideas. Crystal Up as default, a bottom with mode change based on Defense, and a spiked Track (albeit that one is inspired by BD145 and GB145)...
And I tried to mimick the heads as it is in Triple Attacker, with the tails/smaller points resembling BD145 spikes on the wheel...
lol Coincidence so much? But probably I won't win anyway, my CrysWhl is kinda lame =p
A recent Japanese article is directly implying that something else is coming for Beyblade, and the two developpers appeared to be quite optimistic when talking about Beyblade. They cannot say anything yet, which is why Beyblade does not seem to be at the upcoming World Hobby Fair Winter 2012/2013, but TAKARA-TOMY's Beyblade booth was always super secretive anyway, so we barely ever saw anything about that in the end.
So, in my opinion, if they do open a hiatus for Beyblade, it would only be for a few months or something. If they wanted to reproduce what happened in 2005, I do not think that they would talk like they did in that interview.

Well I'm hoping for the best, Beyblade is much more popular than it was before so from a business point of view it would be foolish to not want to carry on cashing in on that
I tried measuring my Bahamdia Chrome Wheel, roughly 5.292 centimeters so that was quite near the 53mm length in the BBG-27 Discussion thread. I really wonder why Takara Tomy decided to make an even larger wheel than Hell. There's nothing wrong with it, but the shape looks a little awkward and a little too light.

It looks quite awkward if Bahamdia's on the bottom of a regular sized chrome wheel, hehe. But I still think the Beyblade looks sexy.
